  • 본 연구는 물리·역학적 특성을 고려한 점탄성 감쇠기의 수치모델에 의한 강뼈대구조물의 지진응답개선에 관해서 조사하고자 한다. 온도변화에 의한 감쇠기 이력거동에 미치는 영향을 고려하기 위하여, 점탄성 감쇠기의 모델은 온도-주기 등가원리와 더불어 개선된 분수도함수법에 기초하여 정식화하였다. 본 감쇠기 모델의 알고리즘을 일반화된 강뼈대구조물의 비선형 동적 해석 프로그램에 추가하였다. 강뼈대구조물에 대한 해석 예를 통하여, 제시된 모델에 의한 점탄성 감쇠기의 지진응답개선에 관한 효과를 확인할 수 있었다.

교번성장법을 이용해 성장한 InN/GaN 박막의 구조적, 광학적 특성 평가

  • 본 논문은 InN와 GaN를 교대로 증착하는 교번성장법을 이용해 제작한 4주기 InN/GaN 박막의 구조적, 광학적, 특성을 X-ray diffraction, Atomic force microscopy, Transmission electron microscopy과 저온 Photoluminescence (PL) 장비를 사용하여 분석한 결과를 보고한다. Fig. 1은 4주기 InN/GaN박막의 XRD 스펙트럼으로 GaN(0002)와 InN(0002)의 회절 신호를 관찰할 수 있다. 그러나 두 피크뿐만 아니라 InN와 GaN 사이에 구분이 되지 않은 추가 신호를 확인할 수 있다. 추가신호는 InN와 GaN 계면에서 발생하는 상호확산 확률로서 해석할 수 있다. Fig. 2는 다양한 조건에서 성장한 InN/GaN 시료의 PL스펙트럼으로 방출 파장은 각각 1,380, 1,290, 1,280, 1,271, 1,246 nm로 측정되었다. 성장 조건 변화에 따른 발광특성 변화를 박막에서 III족 원자 특히, In 원자의 성장 거동에 따른 구속준위(Localized states) 변화로 논의할 예정이다.

  • The paper presents an overview of the present state of study on the fatigue behaviors at very high number of cycles ($N_f$ > $10^7$). A classification of materials with typical S-N curves and influencing factors such as notches, residual stresses, temperatures, corrosion environments and stress ratios are given. The microstructural inhomogeneities of materials and micro-cracks played an important roles in very high cycle fatigue behaviors. The failure mechanisms for the fatigue design of materials and components are mentioned.

  • 2000년대 들어 주기적으로 발생하고 있는 봄 가뭄에 대한 적절한 대책 마련을 위해서는 가뭄을 모니터링 할 수 있는 감시체계가 필요하며 가뭄의 심도를 정량적으로 나타내기 위한 지표가 요구된다. 또한, 가뭄의 거동 및 지역적인 심도 분석을 위해서는 면 단위의 공간적인 분석이 요구된다. 위성영상은 공간정보를 신속하고 주기적으로 제공할 수 있는 도구로 위성영상의 밴드 조합을 통해 제작된 식생지수는 1990년대 중반 이후 건조지역을 중심으로 가뭄 모니터링을 위한 도구로 활용 중이다. 본 연구에서는 MODIS 영상으로부터 제작된 정규식생지수(NDVI)를 이용하여 식생상태지수(VCI)와 정규화된 식생지수(SVI)를 제작하였으며 2000년$\sim$2007년을 대상으로 가뭄발생연도, 각 가뭄사상에 대한 심도, 가뭄다발 시기 및 다발지역을 분석하였다.

  • Periodic structures can be applied as a MEMS(micro-electro-mechanical system) sensor or actuator due to low energy loss and wideband frequency response. The dynamic behavior of a mistuned periodic structure Is dramatically changed from that of a perfectly tuned periodic structure. The effects of mistuning, coupling stiffness, and driving point on the forced vibration responses of a simple periodic structure ate investigate4 through numerical simulations. On the basis of that, one can design effective and reliable MEMS components using periodic structures.

  • Flame characteristics of periodic fuel jets were studied experimentally by supplying the fuel periodically using solenoid valve. Flame was observed using a high speed camera, a 35 mm camera and a cathetometer. Hot-wire ananometer was used to meature the speed of fuel flow at the nozzle exit to analyze the flow characteristics. Various types of flame characteristics such as the flame lift-off and extinction were observed for different ranges of period, duty, and flow rate, but the flame shape was not affected much by the variation in the flow rate. Decreasing duty of the pulses applied to the solenoid valve promotes lift-off and enhances premixed flame characteristics.

  • Nonlinear aeroelastic characteristics of a two dimensional typical section model with bilinear plunge spring are investigated. Doublet-point method(DPM) is used for the calculation of supersonic unsteady aerodynamic forces which are approximated by using the minimum-state approximation. For nonlinear flutter analysis structural nonlinearity is represented by an asymmetric bilinear spring and is linearized by using the describing function method. The linear and nonlinear flutter analyses indicate that the flutter characteristics are significantly dependent on the frequency ratio. From the nonlinear flutter analysis, various types of limit cycle oscillations are observed in a wide range of air speeds below or above the linear flutter boundary. The nonlinear flutter characteristics and the nonlinear aeroelastic responses are investigated.

  • Longitudinal elongation develops in reinforced concrete beams that exhibit flexural yielding during cyclic loading. The longitudinal elongation can decrease the shear strength and deformation capacity of the beams. In the present study, nonlinear truss model analysis was performed to study the elongation mechanism of reinforced concrete beams. The results showed that residual tensile plastic strain of the longitudinal reinforcing bar in the plastic hinge is the primary factor causing the member elongation, and that the shear-force transfer mechanism of diagonal concrete struts has a substantial effect on the magnitude of the elongation. Based on the analysis results, a simplified method for evaluating member elongation was developed. The proposed method was applied to test specimens with various design parameters and loading conditions..

  • Van der Pol's oscillators is non-conservative oscillator that having nonlinear damping phenomena. The energy of its system is dissipative at a high amplitude whereas its system creates the energy at low amplitude. This paper deals with the Van der Pol oscillator model with a fractional order when the external force apply into Van der Pol oscillator. This paper confirms the status of variation for the limit cycle according to the parameter variation of fractional order in the Van der Pol oscillator that can be represented by fractional differential equation.

  • In order to investigate the characteristics of the lateral earth pressure at rest under hysteretic Ko -loading l unloading conditions. Seven types of multicyclic models have been studied experimentally using dry sand. For this study a new type of Ko -oedometer appal attn is developed, and horizontal pressure is accurately measured. The multi cyclic models consist of largely 3 cases : (i) Ko-test under the same loading/unloading condition, (ii) multi-cyclic loading /unloading Ko -test exceeding the maximum prevertical stress, and (iii) multi-cyclic loading l unloading Ko -test within the mazimium prevertical stress. As a result, the multi -cyclic model showed that single-cyclic model could be extended as well, in which the exponents for unloading condition(a and a') and the reloading coefficients(m, and m*) were mainily dependent upon type of stress model, number of cycles and relati ve density.
