The existence of and deviations from housing consumption norms in the United States (미국의 주거소비규범에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구는 주거소비규범에서의 이탈과 관계된 변수들을 조사하고자 시도되었으며, 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위한 구체적인 연구과제는 다음과 같다. 1. 미국의 각기 다른 가구유형별(가족생활주기 측면에서 구성된) 주거소비규범이 존재하는가\ulcorner 2. 규범보다 높은수준의 주거소비와 관계된 변수는 무엇인가\ulcorner 규범보다 낮은 수준의 주거소비와 관계된 변수는 무엇인가\ulcorner 자료는 미국엣 실시된 1990년도 소비자지출 조사의 인터뷰대상에서 추출된 4,923개의 소비자단위로 연구과제를 해결하기 위해 ordinary least squares(OLS) 중회귀분석방법이 사용되었으며, 본 연구에서 주거소비규범은 다음과 같은 4가지 주거특성, 즉 방수, 주거유형, 침실당 사람수 및 주거소유유형으로 확인되었다. 분석결과, 가구유형 및 크기가 규범이 존재한다고 믿어지는 4가지 주거특성과 유의하게 관련되어 있었으며, 이는 이러한 특성에 대해 규범이 존재한다는 결론을 지지했다. 한편, 다른 많은 가구들이 그들의 가구유형규범과 크기규범에 일치하지 않는 주거에서 살고 있는 것으로 나타났는데, 이러한 이탈은 소득, 가장의 연령 및 성별과 같이 자원제약을 나타내는 변수와 관계되어 있었다. 본 연구의 결과는 왜 인구통계적 변수가 주거 및 다른 소비와 관계 되는지에 대한 이유를 설명할 수 있도록 하는 근거를 제시하고 있으며, 주거소비만족과 주거조정행동의 근거를 이해하는데 적용될 수 있을 것이다.

A Study on Veblen Effect according to Residence Estate: Focused on Conspicuous Consumption (주거용부동산의 거주유형에 따른 베블런효과에 관한 연구: 과시소비성향을 중심으로)

  • Recently, middle and low social class entered in the upper class for the specific reasons and joined reference group in order to present demonstration effect. This phenomenon was assumed the consumer's desire for housing estate not from the leisure class. The superiority which feels belong to reference group, that was able to purchase high price product and the competence which can afford a high price goods are effective in housing estate. The study had been researched for Veblen effect according to residence estate. The partial least squares path modeling was used for Veblen effect affected by various psychological attributes, housing patterns and demographics for analysis. As a result, the conspicuous consumption from tenants was higher than residents, the social face sensitivity affected positively for self esteem and housing pattern, therefore, it caused conspicuous consumption. Moreover, we found conspicuous consumption had been increased followed by more spacious housing and higher income.

  • 본 연구는 '소비자중심'의 주거문화를 모색하기 위해 한국사회 신세대소비자의 주거 가치와 관련요인에 대해 수도권의 20~35세 남녀를 대상으로 자기기입식 질문지를 이용하여 실증연구하였고 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 14개 주거가치에 대해 전반적으로 중요 하다는 응답이 대부분이었다. 둘째, 주거가치의 요인분석결과 4개 특성이 추출되었고 두 맥 락으로 접근할 수 있었다 하나는 후기 산업사회로의 발전과 함께 중요하게 인식되는 주거가 치특성으로 외부환경의 편리성과 인간성 회복 인접환경의 안전과 프라이버시 내부환경의 편 리성과 아름다움을 중시하는 주거가치가 이에 속한다. 이주거가치들은 신세대소비자에게 매 우 강하게 형성되어 있었으며 공통적으로 신세대가치관이 강할수록 더 강한 것으로 나타났 다. 다음은 전통적으로 중요시된 주거가치로서 위신과 경제성 주거가치이다 이는 비교적 낮 은 수준으로 나타났으며 신세대가치관이 약할수록 더 강하게 나타났다.

Lifestyles of Korean Older Adults - Focusing on the consumption pattern and its determinants - (한국노인의 생활양식 분석 : 소비패턴과 그 결정요인을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the diverse lifestyles of Korean older adults by analyzing the consumption pattern of older households and its determinants. The 9th wave of the Korea Labor and Income Panel Study(KLIPS) data was used for analysis. The twenty consumption items provided by the dataset was reduced to thirteen according to the consumption purpose inherent in the item. K-means cluster analysis and multinomial logistic regression was employed to categorize the consumption pattern of older households and to analyze the determinants. The results are as follows. The consumption pattern of Korean older adults was clustered into six distinctive groups named Breadwinner, Leisure-time pursuer, Friendly outgoes, Daily-life survivor, Illness sufferer and Shelter seeker. Breadwinner, Leisure-time pursuer and Friendly outgoes were lifestyles that earn and spend more compared to the other three. Nevertheless, they differed according to the family size, indicating that the parenting burden might have direct influence on the lifestyle of Korean older adults. Older adults without parenting burden and with high level of education and economic capacity were likely to show Friendly outgoes lifestyle. On the other hand, Daily-life survivor, Illness sufferer and Shelter seeker showed lower level of spending, indicating that for those lacking in economic capacity, urgent needs such as medical need or housing need dominates the lifestyle. The results call for adequate custom policies that best fit the needs of older adults.

Regional Disparity and Its determinants of $CO_2$ Emissions from Residential Energy Consumption in China (주거 에너지 소비에 따른 이산화탄소 배출량의 지역 격차와 격차요인 분석 -중국의 성(省)급을 대상으로 하여-)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the regional disparity and its determinants of $CO_2$ emission from the residential energy consumption in China. This study examines factors that affect the $CO_2$ emission per capita using the panel model. The panel model was set by a balanced panel data for 30 provinces and for the period of 2006~2011. $CO_2$ emission per capita is used as the dependent variable and characteristics of the household and regional physical environmental factors are selected as the explanatory variables. The important findings can be summarized as follows. $CO_2$ emission per capita is influenced by the ratio of the graduate students, household size, the ratio of the old-aged, female economic participation rate. High residential density is negatively affected on $CO_2$ emission. The findings suggest that the effect of policies reducing $CO_2$ emission per capita may vary by characteristics of the household, energy sources and regional climate. The results of this empirical study give some implications to reduce the residential energy consumption in the era of climate change.

  • 최근, 국내에서는 스마트홈 기술이 공동주택인 아파트를 중심으로 점차 도입되고 있는 실정이다. 스마트홈의 주거공간은 홈네트워크를 기반으로 하는 다양한 정보(가전)기기들이 활용되고 있다. 이러한 주거생활환경에 의해 전기에너지의 의존도가 지속적으로 증가하고 있어, 먼저 스마트 홈 환경하 수용가 변압기 2차측에서의 전기합선과 누전에 대한 전기안전 및 진단의 기반기술을 제시한다. 다음으로, 주거시스템이 지능형홈으로 발전함으로서, 소비 전기량이 급속히 증가하는 추세이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 홈거주자의 정보가 전기기 사용유무에 따라서 전원상태를 지능적으로 차단/통전시켜 소비전력을 최소화할 수 있는 Auto 스위치에 대해 기술하고자 한다.

  • According to the "Population and Housing Census of 2010", announced by the National Statistical Office, "House Nomad group" was increased by more than 70% compared to 2005. Emergence of House Nomad tribe about the cause of the increase of influence and House Nomad tribe give the housing market, but prior to the discussion often, there is no place that still it became clearly evident in the research. The purpose of this study, are looking for the emergence and increasing cause of House Nomad group in terms of consumption behavior of the house. For this reason, We use the Population and Housing Census 1% of the data 2010. and Multinomial Logit Models., is a useful method that can be utilized when there is no rank and order the consumer choice. The results were as follows. House Nomad group was found to be higher probability of living place and good environmental characteristics of housing that has been expressed in the properties of the housing. Also appeared to have a relatively longer time commuting. And that residential mobility is high.

  • In this paper, we draws tendency of the electricity consumption in residential buildings according to inhabitants Composition types and the level of incomes. it is necessary to reduce energy cost and keep energy security through the electricity demand forecasting and management technology. Progressive social change such as increases of single household, the aging of society, increases in the income level will replace the existing residential electricity demand pattern. However, Only with conventional methods that using only the energy consumption per-unit area are based on Energy final consumption data can not respond to those social and environmental change. To develop electricity demand estimation model that can cope flexibly to changes in the social and environmental, In this paper researches propensity of electricity consumption according to the type of residents configuration, the level of income. First, we typed form of inhabitants in residential that existed in Korea. after that we calculated hourly electricity consumption for each type through National Time-Use Survey performed at the National Statistical Office with considering overlapping behavior. Household appliances and retention standards according to income level is also considered.

  • The purpose of the research is analyzing how the emotional factors of the external apartment design can be influenced by the consumers' emotional reaction, and analyzing how the emotional reaction of the consumers will affect the expenditure of the apartment in the upcoming future. For this purpose, first, external surrounding factors of the apartment are extracted and then classified into three major design categories (instinctive, behavioral, and reflective design), and each factor is evaluated by the emotional evaluation. The scope of the research is restricted to the apartments in Daegu city which are built by Top 3 construction companies from the analysis of construction-working rank (May, 2010). The residential-expenditure data are extracted from D-univ. students, in accordance with the satisfaction of the external surroundings and emotional-reaction against the emotional-design factors of the apartment. This research is done by the statistic analysis program SPSS17.0. This shows that difference of emotional design by the apartment external space requisites will be significance as fundamental data for development of application and planning and apartment external space of emotional design by the apartment external space in the future.
