Optimization of Dose Distribution for High Dose Rate Intraluminal Therapy (고선량율 관내 방사선치료를 위한 종양선량분포의 최적화에 대한 연구)

  • The use of high dose rate remote afterloading system for the treatment of intraluminal lesions necessitates the need for a more accurate of dose distributions around the high intensity brachytherapy sources, doses are often prescribed to a distance of few centimeters from the linear source, and in this range the dose distribution is very difficult to assess. Accurated and optimized dose calculation with stable numerical algorithms by PC level computer was required to treatment intraluminal lesions by high dose rate brachytherapy system. The exposure rate from sources was calculated with Sievert integral and dose rate in tissue was calculated with Meisberger equation, An algorithm for generating a treatment plan with optimized dose distribution was developed for high dose rate intraluminal radiotherapy. The treatment volume becomes the locus of the constrained target surface points that is the specified radial distance from the source dwelling positions. The treatment target volume may be alternately outlined on an x-ray film of the implant dummy sources. The routine used a linear programming formulism to compute which dwell time at each position to irradiate the constrained dose rate at the target surface points while minimizing the total volume integrated dose to the patient. The exposure rate and the dose distribution to be confirmed the result of calculation with algorithm were measured with film dosimetry, TLD and small size ion chambers.

Design of Illumination Control System Using Microwave Sensors and Dimming Control (마이크로웨이브센서와 디밍제어를 활용한 조명제어시스템 설계 및 구현)

  • In this paper, we present a novel illumination system for parking lots constructed underground. We design and implement this system using microwave sensors and dimming control of LED fluorescent lamps so that we can obtain lighting efficiency of the illumination scheme. We construct an effective illumination system in the aspects of performance and cost, resulting in energy-saving and electricity reduction. Recently conventional energy-saving method applied to old underground parking lots mainly relies upon turning off the half of total number of lamps installed in the parking lot. Sometimes there are some lots that have infrared sensor to be used to turn on/off the fluorescent lamps to realize these operations smoothing. The other schemes utilize timer to control lighting time of the fluorescent lamps. These conventional schemes are forcing to turn off a part of lamps installed so that we cannot apply them in a systematic way. Moreover they will be most inefficient when we leave them alone to be continuous consumers. The lighting control system proposed in this paper can recognize objects through microwave sensors and inform the appropriate lighting time, furthermore we can adjust brightness of LED lamps following the surroundings using dimming control scheme so that we can epochally improve the illumination system for underground parking lots. According to our sophisticated test experiments, we can maximally obtain 81.9% of energy-saving effectiveness using the system proposed in this paper.

  • To improve the precision of relative positioning for GPS single frequency(L1) receiver, we accomplished the GPS data processing using the weighted smoothing techniques. The weighted phase smoothing technique is used to minimize the measurement error of pseudorange and position domain smoothing technique is adopted to make the complement of cycle-slip affection. we also considered some component errors like as ionospheric error, which are related with baseline length, and processed for several baselines (5, 10, 30, 40, and 150 km) to check the coverage area of this algorithm. This paper shows that weighted phase smoothing technique give more stable results after using this technique and the position domain smoothing technique can reduce the errors which are sensitive to the observational environment. Based on the results, we could find out that this algorithm is available for post-time and real-time applications and these techniques can be substitution methods which is able to get the high accuracy and precision without resolving the Integer ambiguity.

The Effects of Auditor Turnover Ratio on the Quality of Earnings (경영자의 외부감사인 교체빈도가 기업이익의 질에 미치는 영향)

  • Since 1982, the auditee have selected the auditor under market mechanism. Under the system on which the auditor have been chosen by client, there have been chances for opinion shopping, etc. To prevent those, some audit regulations have been introduced. Prior studies have documented the positive effect of these audit regulations. Those studies, however, had some limitations which they dealt with just short event period for empirical tests. This study examines the effect of Auditor Turnover Ratio on the Quality of Earnings using a sample of firms that were listed on Korea Exchange(KRX) from 1995 to 2004. The firms that change auditor frequently are expected to have low disclosure quality. The CEO with the incentives to manage or manipulate earnings could accomplish this purpose by replacing existing auditor with more friendly auditor, which could result in eventually lowering earning's quality of the firm. The result of empirical test shows that the accrual quality of firms which have high auditor turnover ratio are significantly lower than those of firms which have low ratio. This result is consistent with our hypothesis that the more frequently a firm changes auditor, the lower the quality of earning is. This evidence might give the implication to policy-making supervisor.

Prediction of the Acoustic Performance of a Music Hall Considering the Radiation Characteristics of Korean Traditional Musical Sources (국악음원의 방사특성을 고려한 국악원의 음향 성능 예측)

  • There have been always some difficulties in target setting and conditioning of acoustic performances of the Korean traditional music hall due mainly to the lack of the information on the sound radiation characteristics of Korean musical sources. In this study, the radiation characteristics of four typical Korean traditional musical sources were investigated in precision and their usage was demonstrated: The selected musical sources were Gayageum (string), Daegeum (woodwind), Jango (drum), and Pansori Chang (vocal performance). Each sound source was located at the center of a semi-anechoic chamber and the directivity was determined by the measured sound pressure levels in every 10° angular position, for both vertical and horizontal directions. The directivity pattern of Gayageum varies from a uniform to a complex pattern having many side lobes with the increase of frequency. The main radiation of Daegeum is toward the upward direction. The directivity pattern of Jango is clearly a side-oriented one and the left direction intensity is sharper than its right side at low frequencies. For the Chang, the directivity pattern change from a uniform pattern to a frontally directed one as the frequency goes high. Measured directional and spectral characteristics of traditional Korean music sources were implemented into the computation of architectural acoustic measures for the Busan National Korean Traditional Music Hall which is under construction. Parameters such as RT, SPL, C80, IE, STI were calculated at two receiver positions by using a ray tracing technique. Significant differences in the acoustic measures at receiver positions were observed between the results in using the omni-directional source and the directional one. It is thought that the suggested source data and design method can be used as a basic reference in the future acoustic design of performance halls for the Korean traditional music.

A Study on Factors for Adopting of RFID Application Technology (RFID 응용 기술의 도입에 미치는 영향 요인에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) application technology is the core of ubiquitous technology. this research examines the factors for adopting the RFID application technology together with factors for adopting the related information system such as ERP, SCM, EDI by researching relevant literature. this research attempts to derive the factors for adopting RFID application technology by using the Delphi Method. The factors for adopting the information technology of the above-mentioned three areas totaled 116 adoption factors. Based on these 116 adoption factors, the factors for adopting RFID application technology were to be derived. A total of 27 adoption factors were derived in the first Delphi investigation. Of the total 27 adoption factors, final 9 adoption factors could be derived by conducting frequency analysis and relative importance analysis. In other words, 9 adoption factors that were derived last were found to be the cost related to tag, relationship with customer firms, compatibility of technology, information technology-based structure, trust and coordination between business firms, intensity of competition within the industry, the standardization of RFID technology, the top management's support and participation degree of client companies. When business firms try to adopt RFID application technology afterwards, concrete and close examination from this point of view was found to be necessary.

  • To effectively and quickly respond to new forms of terrorism, a more organically integrated and coordinated system will be needed. As establishing the grounds of such a system based on laws would be most in congruence with legalism, it would be desirable to fundamentally establish an antiterrorism act. However, enactment of such counter-terrorism laws must be accomplished by means with which human rights violations against citizens may be minimized, contrary to what has been the case with third world nations. The act will need to include clauses that may relieve organizations, such as national human rights committees or citizen groups, of concerns over potential human rights violations. To address vulnerabilities of investigative rights issues which relate to cases relevant to acts of terrorism being delegated to the National Intelligence Service, the investigative jurisdiction shall be assigned to the public prosecutors and law enforcement officials as with other criminal proceedings. As for public concern that establishing the Anti-Terrorism Center under the National Intelligence Service, a secret service agency, may infringe upon human rights, functional and organizational dualism of the Anti -terrorism Center would be worth taking into account.

  • To prepare the edible film based on fish protein, the optimal conditions for extracting soluble protein from Alaska pollack ( Theragra chalcogramma) and mackerel (Scomber japonious) muscle were defined. The effects of protein concentration, pH and temperature of protein solution on the physical properties of films were also investigated, Contents of moisture, crude protein, crude lipid and ash in Alaska pollack muscle were 79.6, 18.2, 0.6 and $1.2\%$, respectively. Contents of moisture, crude protein, crude lipid and ash in mackerel muscle were 69,1, 20.1, 9,5 and $1.3\%$, respectively. Both soluble protein contents extracted from Alaska pollack and mackerel were the highest at pH 12.0, and then un 2.0, 11.0. But they were extracted a little at neutral range. forward the recovery yield of protein by controlling isoelectric point was the highest at pH 4.8 ($79.8\%$) for Alaska pollack and at pH 5.0 ($64.1\%$) for mackerel, For the preparation of protein films from both Alaska pollack and mackerel, the most effective conditions of film forming solution were achieved, after supplied fish protein 4 g (glycerol 1,6 g) in 100 mL of distilled water, by adjusted to pH 10.0 and then heated at $90^{\circ}C$.

  • Recently, the depletion of fossil fuels, global warming and environmental pollution have emerged as a worldwide problem, and studies of new renewable energy sources have been progressed. Among the many renewable energy sources, the use of bio fuel has the potential to displace fossil fuels due to low price, easy to handle, and the abundant sources. Pyrolysis oil (PO) derived from waste wood and sawdust is considered an alternative fuel for use in diesel engines. On the other hand, PO is limited to diesel engines because of its low cetane number, high viscosity, high acidity, and low energy density. Therefore, to improve its poor properties, PO was mixed with alcohol fuels, such as ethanol. Early mixing with ethanol has the benefit of improving the storage and handling properties of the PO. Furthermore, a PO-ethanol blended fuel was injected separately, which can be fired through pilot-injected diesel in a dual-injection diesel engine. The experimental results showed that the substitution of diesel with blended fuel increases the amount of HC and CO, but reduces the NOx and PM significantly.

  • 무선 센서 네트워크는 경제적, 환경적 목적으로 다양한 방면에서 활용되고 있다 이 때, 배치된 각 센서의 위치를 파악하는 것은 센서 네트워크에서 가장 기본적이며 가장 중요한 문제 중의 하나이다. 기존 논문에서 제안된 센서 위치 측정 방법은 특별한 장비를 장착하거나 특정한 환경의 지역에 한정시킨 방범으로 제한하고 있는 경우가 대부분이다. 하지만 어떠한 관심 지역의 환경은 언제라도 바뀔 수 있다. 또한, 센서가 위치할 환경의 기온, 풍속 등을 미리 안다는 것은 비현실적인 가정이다. 더구나 각각의 센서에 특별한 장비를 장착한다는 것은 비용 절감을 이유로 센서 네트워크를 운영하는 경우 오히려 그것을 이용하지 않는 경우보다 비용이 더 들 수도 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 센서 노드의 기본적인 통신 기능은 이용하여, 환경에 순응적으로 센서의 위치를 측정할 수 있는 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 센서 노드에서 기본적으로 제공하는 통신 기능은 RF 전파를 보낼 때 전송 레벨을 달리하여 보낼 수 있다. 이러한 기본적인 기능을 이용하여 위치를 측정하게 되면 전체적인 센서 네트워크의 비용이 절감될 뿐만 아니라 환경에 순응적인 위치 측정이 가능하게 된다. 또한, 각 노드의 위치가 정해진 후 다른 노드와 통신할 때 전파의 세기를 조정함으로써 RF 통신에서 소모되는 전력량을 줄일 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서 제안하는 전송 레벨을 이용한 위치 측정 방법은 단순히 위치를 측정한다는 의미뿐 아니라 환경에 순응적으로 작동한다는 장점이 있다. 향후 네트워크 내에서 통신에 소비되는 전력을 줄일 수 있다는 점에서도 중요한 의미를 지닌다.를 집행하는 caspase의 활성 형태인 cleaved caspase-8, -9, -7, -3의 단백질 수준이 목향 헥산추출물의 처리에 의해 증가하였고 caspase-3의 표적 단백질 중 하나인 PARP의 불활성 형태인 cleaved PARP의 단백질 수준도 현저하게 증가하였다. 이 결과들은 목향 헥산 추출물이 LNCaP 세포의 apoptosis를 유도함으로써 전립선 암세포의 증식을 억제함을 보여주는 것이며 목향 헥산추출물에 의한 apoptosis 유도는 caspase 활성 증가와 Bak 및 t-Bid 단백질의 증가에 의한 것임을 제시한다. 따라서 앞으로 항암효과를 나타내는 성분의 동정 및 동물실험을 통하여 좀 더 면밀한 기전 연구가 수행된다면 목향 헥산추출물은 화학적 암예방 물질이나 치료제로 개발될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.적 분해층과 마모질이가 가장 깊은 것으로 나타났으며 flowable type의 복합레진과 컴포머는 표면 경도와 마모도에서 양호한 결과를 보였다. 이상의 결과 복합레진과 컴포머의 평가요소로서 마모도와 함께 가수분해도 고려되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.증후군 환자에서 대조군에 비해 높은 비율을 보였다.er thinning은 3 군모두에서 관찰되었고 항암 3 일군이 가장 심하게 나타났다. 이상의 실험결과를 보면 술전 항암제투여가 초기에 시행한 경우에는 조직의 치유에 초기 5 일정도까지는 영향을 미치나 7 일이 지나면 정상범주로 회복함을 알수 있었고 실험결과 항암제 투여후 3 일째 피판 형성한 군에서 피판치유가 늦어진 것으로 관찰되어 인체에서 항암 투여후 수술시기는 인체면역계가 회복하는 시기를 3
