  • The purpose of this paper is to establish an effective inspection system by using OMM(ON-Machine Measurement) system. This allows us to reduce the manufacturing lead time by separating the inspection process from manufacturing system. As a first step, the inspection process planning is accomplished by determining the number of measuring points, their locations, measuring path and their sequence. Subsequently, we generate measuring G-codes to be transferred to the machining center through RS232C, and then the inspection process will be performed for each shape. Analysing obtained measuring data, the dimensional tolerance will be validated.

  • Recently, it has been studying for the polishing process of micro parts widely. However, present MR polishing system, it is difficult to minimize electromagnet and to polish sphere or slope parts. Then, it can not be obtained demanded surface quality. In this study, material removal characteristics of BK7 glass using round endmill type MR polishing system were investigated through series of experiment. The experiments were investigated by changing imposed polishing conditions, such as rotational speed and polishing depth. As a results, very high material removal was obtained at 0.7mm gap distance, 1,980rpm.

  • In this paper, we propose a face detection method for medical service robot. The proposed method is robust in complex background and light. Our method is performed by three steps. Firstly the background is eliminated using mean shift algorithm. Thereafter, based on color space, face is extracted. Finally the object is extracted using Haar-like feature method. To assess the effectiveness of the proposed system, it was tested and experimental results show that the proposed method is applicable for medical service robot.

  • 본 논문은 기존의 디지털 설진 시스템이 아닌 임베디드 환경에서의 실시간 설진 진단 방법을 제안한다. 임의의 환경에서 얻어낸 이미지에서 혀 영역의 추출과 추출된 영역에서의 혀의 상태를 진단하는데는 많은 어려움이 있다. 다양한 조명환경에서의 영상으로부터 혀 영역을 추출해 내는 방법으로는 ASM을 이용하는 방법이 있는데 이는 검출률이 낮아 정확도가 떨어진다. 이를 보완하기 위해 본 논문에서는 ASM과 물체 외곽 정보 복원에 기반을 둔 컬러 분산 스테이크 기법을 사용하여 정확도를 개선하는 방법을 제안한다.

  • In this paper, we introduce the implementation of the security system using iris recognition. This system acquires images with infrared camera and extracts the 2D code from a infrared image which uses scale-space filtering and concavity. We examine the system by (i) extract 2D code and (ii) compare the code that stored on the server (iii) measure FAR and FRR using pattern matching. Experiment results show that the proposed method is very suitable.

  • When a mobile robot performs in unknown environments, a location identification is an essential task. In this paper, we propose a location identification system that uses a sensor space without additional devices on the robot. Also the sensor space consists of a matrix of CDS sensor; when a robot was positioned on the CDS sensor, we can estimate the coordinate of the location by sensing a light. Based on KS illumination standard, experiments are performed in various environments. By evaluating the experimental results, we can show that the proposed system can be applicable to the location identification system of a moving robot.

  • Sensor network supports data delivery from Physical world to cyber space. Sensors get physical events then wireless network transfers sensor data to service server. We use sensor network technology to light control system for intelligent building. In ubiquitous computing environment. wireless sensor network is basic tool for intelligent service. In this paper, we propose intelligent building light control system based on wireless sensor network. It is implemented using previous light control product, can be adopted to present building light system.

  • 가로등은 공공 부문 전력 사용량 중 절대적인 비중을 차지하지만 불필요한 전력 소모로 인한 낭비요인이 적지 않았다. 통상적으로 가로등은 조금만 어두워도 안전사고 우려가 높아 법적 기준보다 10~20% 정도 밝게 설계되고 있는 실정이다. 그래서 도로조명의 가로등은 에너지절약을 위하여 격등방식으로 사용하고 있으나 등주사이의 조도분포가 균일하지 않아, 조도가 낮은 곳에서 운전자가 불안감을 느끼고 피로가 증가하여 사고로 이어지며, 조도조절이 불가능해 차량 이동이 적은 새벽 시간까지 밝게 유지해야 하는 비효율이 발생, 불필요한 전력소모로 이어지는 등의 문제점에 대해서 본 고에서는 가로등에 디밍제어 시스템을 구현하여 안정적인 조도 유지하고 에너지 절감효과를 증가시킬 수 있는 방안에 대해 고찰하고자 한다.

  • In this paper, a temperature control for LED(Light Emitting Diode) lamp using a cooling fan is studied. An efficient temperature control scheme for the LED lamp using the fan wind at the lowest sound noise is studied. For the study, after measurement of the minimum sound noise of the fan and related temperature of the LED lamp through tests, experiments on temperature control of the LED lamp using the fan with various size of heat sinks was performed. To minimize the fan sound noise, optimal size of the heat sink was studied. Also, a teleoperting control of LED lamps using RF communication was studied.

  • 최근 상업용 빌딩, 주거용 빌딩 및 공장등의 저전압 3상 4선식 배전계통에서 PC, UPS, 정류기기, 조명장치 및 사무용기기등 비선형 부하의 사용이 증가하고 있으며, 이로 인한 과도한 중성선 전류는 중성선의 고장, 변압기의 과열 및 중성선과 접지사이의 전압강하등 심각한 문제를 야기시키고 있다. 본 논문에서는 3상 4선식 배전계통에서 중성선 전류 저감을 위한 새로운 능동전력필터를 제안한다. 제안한 방식은 제어가 간단하고 부하용량대비 인버터등 장치의 용량이 작아 저가격으로 실현할 수 있다. 제안한 시스템은 이론적인 분석과 모의실험 및 실험에 의하여 그 타당성을 입증한다.
