  • This study implemented the LED lighting control system using Zigbee Communication. We designed a desk lamp using LEDs. The PWM signals control LEDs using LED drivers. A desk lamp received PWM signals using Zigbee protocol to control LED Color, Color temperature and brightness. Zigbee protocol that have such several advantages to existent Home network system can upgrade more interface dimension.

  • Spotlight system has been made use of art works on stage such as musical and performance etc. Currently, spotlight is controlled manually through the planned path in advance. Therefore, automatic control system is necessary for manipulating spotlight on stage. In this paper, we propose the system that detects to track the multiple objects and classifies those objects, also selects an object of those ones. The proposed method can be applied to the interactive stage spotlighting system(ISSS).

  • The purpose of this study is to implement a landscape lighting system that displays full color video by precisely controlling the R, G, B (Red, Green, Blue) LEDs which have a resolution of 256 each. The system implemented in this study consists of a PC, MASTER, SLAVEs and MODULEs. The PC sets the various landscape lighting displays, and the image files can be sent to the MASTER through a virtual serial port connected to the USB (Universal Serial Bus). The MASTER sends a sync signal to the SLAVE. The SLAVE uses the signal received from the MASTER and the landscape lighting display pattern.

  • Generally, reverse engineering means getting CAD data from unidentified shape using vision or 3D laser scanner system. In this paper, we studied unidentified model by machine vision based reverse engineering system to get information about in-processing model. Recently, vision technology is widely used in current factories, because it could inspect the in-process object easily, quickly, accurately. The following tasks were mainly investigated and implemented. We obtained more precise data by corning camera's distortion, compensating slit-beam error and revising acquired image. Much more, we made similar curves or surface with B-spline approximation for precision. Until now, there have been many case study of shape recognition. But it was uncompatible to apply to the field, because it had taken too many processing time and has frequent recognition failure. This paper propose recognition algorithm that prevent such errors and give applications to the field.

  • Recently, with the rapid growth of information technology, many studies have been performed to implement web-based manufacturing system. Such technologies are expected to meet the need of many manufacturing industries those want to adopt E-manufacturing system for the construction of globalization, agility, digitalization to cope with the rapid changing market requirements. In this research, areal-time web-based machine tool and machining process monitoring system is developed as a first step fur implementing I-manufacturing system. In this system, main spindle motor current and feed current are measured using hall sensors. And the relationship between the cutting force and the spindle motor RMS current at various spindle rotational speed is obtained. Also, a rule-based expert system is developed in order to monitor the machining process effectively. Finally, developed system is applied to real machining process to verify the effectiveness.

  • 방송 콘텐츠는 매우 잘 분업화 된 시스템에 의해 서로의 협력으로 제작된다. 그러나 대학의 교육과정은 각 학과의 특성과 목적에 맞추어 독립적인 학문과 실험이 이루어지므로 학생들은 완성된 콘텐츠 제작 과정을 경험하기가 쉽지 않다. 본 연구에서는 방송 콘텐츠 제작을 위해 프로그램 연출 및 영상, 음향, 카메라, 조명 등 다양한 분야의 경험을 가진 교수진의 협력을 바탕으로 방송용 콘텐츠를 만들어 가는 융합수업의 개발과 학습 효과를 분석하고 있다.

Development of straightness measurement system for flat workpiece (평면 공작물의 진직도 측정 시스템 개발)

  • This paper presents a straightness measurement system for flat and long workpieces. The measurement system consists of a laser optical unit, a CCD camera and processing system, and a carrier system with a stylus. The carrier system accompanies the stylus, which displaces a retroreflector along the surface profile. The optical unit is used to optically amplify the displacement of retroreflector. The CCD camera and processing system finally identifies the vertical displacement of the stylus unit. The developed system is applied to two surfaces: ground surface and LM guide surface. The experimental results show that the developed system can measure the straightness of flat surfaces within sub-micron error.

  • Laser claddmg 1s thc deposition of material on the surface of a part or workpiece. Cladding of metals produces a 100% dense metallurgically-bonded coating with minimal dilution for enhanced corrosion, abrasion and wear resistance. Despite of minimal heat Input and reduced processing time, cladding quality 1s affected by various process condition such as laser power and feed rate. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the momtoring and control methods of laser cladding process for the best cladding quality. In this paper, laser cladding monitoring system using CCD camera for measuring cladding pool shape, and photo-diode sensor for detecting optical signal emitted from the cladding front is introduced The variables extracted using this system can be apphed to control the laser cladding system to achieve the best claddmg results..

  • The objectives of this research are to develop lumber and lower-thoracic pedicle fixation system for Korean patients. To achieve the aimed goals, first, optimized shape design process is performed, and finite element methods are applied to evaluate the mechanical strength of the developed fixation system. Second, appropriate machining experiments are carried out to develop optimum machining conditions for titan~um alloys those are known as one of the most difficult-to-cut material. As the results of this research, new pedicle screw system, considering the morphological characteristics of Korean patients, is developed by applying the finite element analysis, optimum shape processing method and optimize design algorithm.
