User Context-aware based Interactive Display Service for Smart Collaborative Environment (지능형 협업 환경을 위한 사용자 컨텍스트 기반 인터랙티브 디스플레이 서비스)

  • Intelligence of collaborative environments starts from a trial to provide optimal services to with users based on real-time information about participants and environments of the collaboration itself. Up to now, we can collect information such as temperature, light, time, each participant's gestures, faces, voices, and locations by adopting ubiquitous computing technologies. However, since social relationship is intrinsic to collaborative activities, the relationships and roles among participants should be fully considered to provide optimal services. To do so, we have to integrate collected data from various sensors and extracted data about relationships and roles among participants as unified one context. Thus, this paper designs collaborative services filtered, by using the integrated data as a context, and introduces an implemented example, context-aware based interactive display service, called as smart meeting system (SMeet system).

A Study on Cloud Service Quality by Using Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA 기법을 적용한 클라우드 서비스 품질 분석)

  • This study sheds light on the quality aspect of cloud computing services as next IT platform. Three tasks of the research are to extract the quality factors of cloud service from the user's viewpoint, empirically analyze the perceptual differences between the user group and the provider group by applying the IPA technique, and suggest some quality factors that need to be improved. Based on the previous researches and focus group evaluation, 13 quality factors have been established. Two field surveys have been performed respectively to collect the perceptual importance and satisfaction level of the users and the providers. It is shown that the quality satisfaction of the user group is lower than the quality perceived by the providers. And there exist significant differences between two groups in respect to quality importance level and IPA matrix. In conclusion, 6 quality factors that need to be improved are suggested such as service functionality, service availability, interoperability, scalability, confidentiality, and provider's responsiveness.

A Study on the Effects of Digital Platform Capabilities and Customer Orientation of Financial Institutions on Service Innovation Behavior (금융기관의 디지털플랫폼역량과 고객지향성이 서비스혁신행동에 미치는 영향연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the structural relationship between the digital platform capabilities of financial institutions and the impact of customer orientation on service innovation behavior through exploitation/exploration. A survey was conducted on employees of financial institutions to verify the research model, and the final 280 copies of the questionnaire were analyzed using SPSS 25 and SmartPLS 2.0. As a major research result, First, digital platform competency has a positive effect on exploitation and exploration. Second, customer orientation has a positive effect on exploitation, but not on exploration. Third, both exploitation and exploration have a positive impact on service innovation behavior. Through this research, this study shed new light on the relationship between digital platform capability and customer orientation that affects service innovation behavior of financial institutions, and expanded the scope of research through empirical research. Future research will require research attempts on various variables and research samples.

Study on Motivation and Satisfaction of Voice Chat Service (음성채팅서비스사용자의이용동기와만족감)

  • Nowadays, online messengers are the main communication tool of modern people. Currently, not only messengers that communicate based on text and images, but also services that can interact in real time through voice or screen sharing are actively used by the MZs. This study aims to figure out 1) the motivation of users of voice chat services, and 2) to explore the influence of motivation for use on satisfaction that one of the factors that determine the user's experience. As a result, five major motivations for using voice chat service(Relationship formation, Usefulness, Relationship maintenance, communication supplementation, and distance overcoming) were found. Among them 'Usefulness' and 'Relationship maintenance had a positive effect on user satisfaction. This study, highlighted the various needs of users who communicate in a non-face-to-face environments as well as factors to be satisfied for their positive experiences. These results should be actively used in the online communications market.

  • It is strongly beliefed that Video on Demand(VOD) will become one of the most promising services in Broadband Integrated Services Digital Network(B-ISDN) for the nest generation VOD service can be classified into two types of services 'Near VOD(NVOD) and Interactive VOD(IVOD). For both services, some video servers should be installed at some nodes(especially, at the root node for NVOD service) in the tree structued VOD network,so that each node with video server stores video programs and distribules stored programs to customers. We consider thre kinds of cost.a program transmission cost, a program storage cost, and a video server installation cost. There exists a trade-off relationship among those three costs according to locationsl of video servers and the kinds of programs stord at each video server. Given a tree structured VOD network, and the total number of programs being served in the network, the resource allocation problem in a VOD network providing both IVOD and NVOD services is to determine where to install video servers for IVOD service, which and how many programs should be stored at each video server for both IVOD and NVOD services, so as to minunize the total cost which is the sum of three costs for both IVOD and NVOD services. In this paper we develop an efficient cynamic programming algorithm for solving the problem. We also implement the algorithm based on a service policy assumed in this paper.

Satisfaction Factor Analysis on Foodservice Quality for Employee Grouped by Working Types 1. Analysis of Expectation and Perception, Satisfaction (사업체 급식서비스 품질의 업무형태별 만족요인 분석 1. 기대도, 인식도 및 품질만족도 조사)

  • The purpose of this study were to identify customer expectation, perception and satisfaction of foodservice quality to analyze the influencing factors on foodservice quality and finally to provide basic information for the improvement of foodservice quality. Among expectation scores of food quality attributes, ‘hygiene of food(3.27)’received the highest score. In expectation scores of service quality attributes,‘hygiene of tableware(3.40)’was the most important. Satisfaction of ‘appropriate 1 portion size(-0.11)’was the highest scored, while‘dealing with complaints on meals(-0.70)’was the most dissatisfied one. Satisfaction was highly correlated with‘providing preferred menu(r = -0.62)’of food quality expectation. It was highly correlated with‘dealing with complaints on meals(r = -0.61)’of service quality expectation. Expectation and perception of foodservice as 2.25 and 2.90 out of 5, respectively, which suggests that foodservice needs to be improved. The attributes identified in Quadrant A, which was labelled‘focus here’and supposed to indicate the areas of high expectation but in low perception, was hygiene of carts holding used trays. The results of expectation and perception analysis indicated the areas that the attention of management should be given to improve quality of foodservice. The stepwize regression analysis suggested that foodservice expectation and perception explaints around 56.7% of the variation in general customer satisfaction.

  • Smart home is a technology for monitoring and controlling all the information about a house by integrating various home applications like cooling, heating, lighting, kitchen and security systems into a network. Although home appliances have become more convenient to use due to the development of smart home technology, they are also more vulnerable to information security hazards. Unauthorized visitors may have access to any of home appliance to arbitrarily control it or acquire information. This causes serious privacy and security problems, which should be solved to further smart home technology. This present paper proposed a dynamic user access control system for privacy protection in smart homes. The proposed system defines the role of a user of smart home services by automatically identifying the status information of the user and dynamically controls the access range for the service. In this way, the privacy of a user can be protected and the inter-smart device service is effectively provided. Consequently, the proposed dynamic user access control for smart home will improve the security service for protecting privacy in smart home devices.

  • In this paper, we propose an HMD-AR interaction system that combines optical camera communication to provide location-based service for tourists in Jeonju Hanok Village. The proposed system receives optical camera communication data from Light infrastructure existing in Jeonju Hanok Village and provides service through ID information along with its own location information. We researched optical camera communication technology and smart device based HMD-AR system and constructed the actual HMD-AR system and tested it. The proposed system is expected that it will be applied to various tourist attractions by utilizing the proposed system in the future, and it is expected to be used as a valuable feedback for smart device based HMD-AR.

Developing a Conceptual Model for Measuring the Electronic Commerce Success of Online Game Websites (온라인게임 웹사이트의 전자상거래 성공측정모델의 개발에 관한 연구)

  • Most online games today are provided via a website interface. Researchers found that various aspects of a game website importantly influence the success of the online game business. This paper aims at identifying key site-related quality factors affecting the success of online casual game websites and creating a model for measuring such success. To meet this end, we extracted basic factors from the literature and expanded them through a Delphi survey method in which domain experts were asked to identify key quality factors of online game websites. Then we performed a questionnaire survey using online game users for an empirical analysis. The results revealed that information quality, service quality, and system quality are all positively related to user satisfaction and that an increase in user satisfaction leads to an improvement in both gamer loyalty and business outcomes. However, it was found that gamers' loyalty does not necessarily increase business outcomes. The paper offers practical as well as academic implications based on the research findings.

  • PSTN (public switched telephone network) provides voice communication service, whereas IP network provides data oriented service, and we can use IP network for multimedia transport service (e.g. voice over IP service) with economic price. In this paper, we propose RoIP (robot on IP) service scenario, signaling call flow, and implementation to provide home automation and monitoring service for remote site users. In our scheme, we used a extended SIP (session initiation protocol) for signaling protocol between remote site users and home robots. For our bearer transport control, we implemented H.263 video codec over RTP (real-time transport protocol) and additionally DTMF (dual tone multi-frequency) transport for robot actuator control. We implemented our scheme on home robots and experimented with KTF operator network, and it shows good communication quality (average MOS = 9.15) and flexible robot controls.
