남천(Nandina domestica)은 중국이 원산지이며 매자나무과에 속하며 우리나라 남부지역에서 관상수로 많이 식재되며 애호가들에게 인기가 많은 수종이다. 특히 가을에 붉게 물든 잎이 겨울까지도 붉은 색을 그대로 간직하여 겨우내 잎 없이 삭막한 겨울을 나는 여러 활엽수와는 달리 아름다움 자태를 가진 나무라 할 수 있다. 그리고 겨울에는 송이송이 달려있는 붉은 열매가 아름다운 정원이나 공원 등지에 군식(群植)하여 악센트식재, 차폐식재, 경계식재용으로 많은 사랑을 받고 있다. 열매와 줄기는 약재로 사용되며, 열매가 황색으로 익는 것은 노랑남천(var. leucocarpa)이라고 한다. 요즘에는 다채로운 원예종으로 개발되고 있기도 하다. 이처럼 우리의 사랑을 받고 있는 남천에 피해를 주는 몇몇 해충 종에 대해서 생태 및 방제법을 소개하고자 한다.

봄이면 우리의 가슴을 설레게 하는 벚꽃의 연분홍색 자태는 4월을 알리는 봄의 전령으로 우리를 기쁘게 하지만 이를해치는 해충의 종류는 한국수목해충목록집에 424종이 등재되어 있어 인간이 벚꽃을 사랑하는 만큼이나 곤충들도 벚나무류를 무척 좋아 하는가봅니다. 1990년 이후 각 도시의 가로수, 정원수로서 경쟁적으로 식재 관리하고 있는 벚나무류에 대한 주요해충으로 복숭아혹진딧물, 뿔밑깍지벌레, 뽕나무깍지벌레, 공깍지벌레, 벚나무응애 등 흡증성해충을 중심으로 이들 해충에 대하여 생리·생태 및 방제법을 간략하게 소개하고자 한다.

일본이 원산지이며 제주도에서는 과수로 그리고 내륙의 도심지에서는 실내 정원수, 분재 등으로 인기가 매우 높다. 6월에 흰색의 꽃을 피우며 길이는 2cm로 짙은 향기가 있다. 9월에 구형의 열매가 녹색을 띠며 10월에는 황색의 열매가 우리의 마음을 안정하게 해준다. 귤은 꽃, 설익은 녹색 열매, 질 익은 황색 열매 모두가 짙은 향기를 가지고 있어 인기가 높다. 특히 늦은 겨울에도 열매를 볼 수 있어 적막한 도시민의 정서에 도움을 주는 과수이다. 이러한 귤을 가해하는 해충으로 깍지벌레류와 진딧물류의 피해가 심하며 이들에 대한 생태 및 방제법을 간략하게 소개하고자 한다.

3월에 잎보다 꽃을 먼저 피우는 매실나무는 이른 봄 우리의 가슴을 설레게 하는 매화의 연분홍색 아름다움은 예로부터 군자의 기상이요, 선비의 자태다. 수많은 선각자들이 글, 노래, 시, 그림 등 각양각색으로 매화를 칭송하고 아름다움을 묘사했지만 이들에 대한 우리 민족의 사랑은 영원할 것이다. 꽃을 매화, 열매를 매실이라고 식 약용으로 쓰이며 봄의 전령으로 우리를 기쁘게 하지만 이들 해치는 해충의 종류는 매실을 가해하는 과수해충을 포함하여 각종 해충 종은 무수히 많다. 이들 해충 중 중요한 몇몇 해충에 대하여 생리 생태 및 방제법을 간략하게 소개하고자 한다.

중부이남 특히 남부해안지역에서 흔히 볼수 있는 상록성활엽관목으로 내음성이 강하여 수하에도 잘자란다. 6월에 백록색의 작은 꽃과 열매는 동양의 아름다음을 간직한 옥구슬처럼 은은한 아름다움이 피어난다. 그리고 상록의 잎은 광택이 있고 질감이 좋아서 관상수로 많은 사람들의 사랑을 받고 있는 나무이다. 또한 예로부터 우리의 집안을 지켜주는 생울타리로 많이 사용하여 우리의 전통가옥과도 잘 어울어지는 나무이다. 또한 요즘에는 다채로운 원예종으로 개발되고 있기도 하다. 이처럼 우리의 사랑을 받고 있는 꽝꽝나무에 피해를 주는 몇몇 해충 종에 대해서 생태 및 방제법을 소개하고자 한다.

제주도, 완도 등 남부해안 지역의 표고 200~700m의 해변과 산록에서 자생하는 상록활엽교목으로 수고 15m, 직경 1m에 달하는 나무로 잎 표면은 녹색의 윤채가 있고, 뒷면은 연한 연갈색의 인모가 있어 관상학적으로 우수한 수종이다. 따라서 남해안 지역에서 가로수 및 정원수로 많은 사랑을 받고 있으며, 병해충에도 비교적 강한 수종으로 알려져 있다. 또한 가을과 겨울에는 혼자만이 꿋꿋이 녹색을 띠면서 적막한 해안도로의 거리를 조금이나마 부드럽고 훈훈하며 따뜻한 느낌을 주는 나무이다. 이러한 구실잣밤나무가 다량으로 식재된 까닭에 최근 구실잣밤나무를 가해하는 해충들이 많이 발생하여 방제에 도움을 주고자 주요해충에 대한 생태 및 방제법을 간략하게 소개하고자 한다.

The purpose of this study is to improve the laws for landscape planning & design, construction, and management. The results obtained in this study are as follows : 1. In a section of landscape planning and design, it is needed to intensity the preliminary inspection for the landscape planning and design. 2. In a section of landscape construction, it is needed to intensify the superintendence and the penal regulation for the landscape construction. 3. In a section of landscape management, it is needed to provide the obligatory regulations and to intensify the penal regulation for the landscape management.

Landscape architecture is an indispensable professional service in building sustainable land and urban environments. The landscape architecture industry is closely related to the promotion of the health and welfare of the people, urban revitalization and residential environment improvement as well as job creation. Despite various public interest values of landscape architecture, the growth engine of the landscape architecture industry, which is supposed to improve the quality of landscape services, has stagnated. In 2015, the Landscape Architecture Promotion Act was enacted to provide a landscape architectural promotion facility and complex system to support revitalization through the integration of the landscape architecture industry. The purpose of this study is to suggest an improvement plan to enhance the effectiveness of the landscape architectural promotion facility and complex system. The results of the analysis are as follows: First, workers and experts in landscape architecture recognized the need for policies and projects to promote the landscape architecture industry. Second, the industrial types suitable for the landscape architectural promotion facility were landscape design, landscape maintenance and management, and landscape construction industry. Meanwhile the industrial types suitable for a landscape architectural promotion complex were landscape trees and landscape facilities production and distribution. Third, the expected effect of the designation of the landscape architectural facility was 'the increase of the business opportunity through the expansion of the network'. On the other hand, that of the landscape architectural promotion complex was 'the activation of various information sharing'. Fourth, 'the size of the local government landscape architecture industry and the capacity to cultivate' was the most important among the designation criteria of the landscape architectural promotion facility. As for that of the landscape architectural promotion complex, the 'feasibility of promotion plan' was the most crucial. Fifth, 'tax benefit and deductible exemption' was considered as a necessary support method for the activation of the landscape architectural promotion facility, and 'maintenance and management fee support' was recognized in the case of the landscape architectural promotion complex.

수목이 토양환경에 의해 피해를 보았을 때 토양 자체의 건조 괴습 문제 등 토양불량과 사람에 의해 복토, 심식되었을 때 문제로 나누어 볼 수 있으며, 공통적으로 토양의 심상중 토양공극 내 수분과 공기의 불균형으로 인하여 발생하는 문제로 볼 수 있다. 이번 연재에서는 토양환경 불량에 대한 여러 가지 예와 병징, 방제법에 대해 살펴보았다.
