  • A design power supply for car audio installation which uses SCR phase control method is able to get output DC 15[V]-100[A] in US wall outlet restricted to input AC 120[V]-15[A]. As the power supply for car audio is tested, output is DC 15[V]-100[A] in ripple voltage 110[mV].

  • Power system which provides electricity to the accident mitigation load for nuclear power plant should be verified to maintain the proper voltage level under the various loading and source conditions. For this purpose, it was needed to collect the voltage data of safety related buses during operation of the Reactor Coolant Pump(RCP) motor and Component Cooling Water Pump(CCWP) motor, respectively, under the certain loading condition of the plant. The data (such as, voltage, current, power factor) collected from actual measurement were used to modify the existing ETAP model and then the reanalysis was conducted to simulate the testing conditions. Through these actual measurement and analysis, it ensures that the existing electrical system analysis including assumptions and methods was conducted properly. Finally, the voltage of safety related buses was not dropped below the acceptable level, and the discrepancy between two results was within the limit.

  • This purpose of this study is to propose the characteristics analysis of the PCB pattern designed two modes for the output voltage value on the PMIC through converting the limited voltage value inputted from a battery. The PCB design technology has been undergoing difficulty in getting the related technology in a domestic market because of increasing EMI/EMC, Cross-talk, Impedance. And it requires to have the appropriate clearance between the patterns and the technology of PCB pattern width with a amperage according to various uses. The study carried out the characteristics analysis of the PCB pattern designed from a direct output method without a capacitor[mode1], to an output method through a capacitor[mode2] for PMIC output voltage value. Besides, we calculated the pattern width with a amperage using the equation suggested by IPC-2221, presenting the right way of the layout design to analyze the trouble with the test. Therefore, this study is expected to contribute not only to applying the PMIC design for the mobile panel power supply, but also helping the design and application technology in various areas such as car control, camera, note-book, computer, PDA, etc.

  • In comparison with some other light sources, LED has merits such as long lifetime, pollution free, and high energy efficiency. Lately, due to development of LED with high brightness and capacity, LED, which has been applied in display system only, has applied in the field of lighting system. Driving current of power LED has to be controlled below the designed value. In this paper, half-bridge LLC series resonant converter, which has the current limiting function, has been described. Half-bridge LLC series resonant converter allows in relatively wide input voltage and output load range when compared to the other resonant converter. Also, it is possible to reduce a magnetic component, because leakage inductance of transformer is used as a resonant inductance. It has been validated by designing and testing 200[W] half-bridge LLC converter of DC24[V] output voltage for LED lamp driver, which includes a current limiting function and power factor correction(PFC) function.

  • This paper proposes a feedback linearization control scheme of AC/DC PWM converters with LCL input filters using no damping resisters. This feedback linearization scheme can eliminate the non-linearity of the system. So, the controller of the system can be designed by using linear control theory, which gives a good transient response. The cascade structure of the controller makes the converter current be controlled within a certain limit. To reduce the number of sensors, the source voltage and current is estimated. The validity of the proposed control algorithm is verified by simulation and experimental results.

  • A receiver ASIC for fiber optic modules of STM-1 optical communication has been fabricated with 0.65 $\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS technology. The ASIC has a limit amplifier circuit for the 155.52 Mbps data reshaping, and a clock extraction circuit for the 155.52 MHz clock recovery. The ASIC has an acquisition aid and LOS monitoring circuit for properly operation with near 155.52 MHz clock frequency in case of the data loss due to transmission line open or data transfer fail. Measured results show that the circuit reshapes data from 5 mV to 1 V wide range of input voltage condition, add it recovers system clock with stable on any condition.

  • In this paper a dual-input self-powered power management system is proposed for low-power applications. The system is powered by merging the energy from a PZT vibration element and a solar cell. The proposed system consists of a charge pump for increasing the output voltage of a solar cell, a rectifier for DC conversion of the PZT output and a power management circuit for merging and managing the harvested energy. The performance of the design circuit has been verified through extensive simulation using a 0.18um CMOS technology. The chip area is $295um{\times}275um$.

  • One-stage low noise amplifier (LNA) using 65 nm RF CMOS technology below 20 GHz is designed to find the optimal bias voltage and optimal width of input transistor so that the maximum figure of merit (FoM) has been achieved. If the frequency is higher than 13 GHz, the amplifier needs two-stage to achieve the higher gain. If the frequency is lower than 5 GHz, one additional capacitor between gate and source should be added to control the power under the limitation. This paper summarizes one-stage LNA overall performances below 20 GHz and this approach can also be applied to other CMOS technology of LNA designs.

  • 산업분야에서 이용되는 이력 데이터는 압력, 부피, 온도, 볼트, 전류, 전압 등 각종 제어기나 센서에서 발생하는 입력 정보를 일정 시간 간격으로 수집되는 데이터로, 데이터의 값이 일정하거나 값의 폭이 좁고, 많게는 수만 개의 포인트가 실시간으로 수집, 저장되어지는 대용량의 데이터라는 특징이 있다. 이러한 특성을 지닌 이력 데이터는 이력의 모든 데이터를 저장하지 않고, 전체를 대표하는 데이터의 일부만을 저장함으로써 이력 데이터의 효율적인 관리와 공간효율을 극대화시킬 수 있다. 이러한 이력 데이터를 효과적으로 관리하고, 보관하기 위해 이력 데이터 압축 알고리즘에 대한 개발과 연구가 진행 중이다. 그러나 이미 알려져 있는 이력 데이터 압축 알고리즘과 개발하고 있는 알고리즘의 성능에 대한 평가를 할 수 있는 시뮬레이터는 개인이나 소규모 집단만을 위해 만들어지거나, 공개되지 않고 있어 사용하기에 제한적이다. 이에 이력 데이터 압축 성능평가를 위한 시뮬레이터인 HDCS(Historical Data Compression Simulator)를 설계하고 구현하고자 한다.

  • 일반도로에서 자유주행이 가능한 온라인 전기자동차(On-Line Electric Vehicle, OLEV)에 적용하기 위해 전류원 급전방식의 직렬-직렬 공진형 자기유도 전력전달시스템(Inductive Power Transfer System, IPTS)을 개발하였다. OLEV용 IPTS에서는 급전선로의 누설 인덕턴스가 크고 집전픽업의 유무에 따라 입력측에 유기되는 전압변동이 심한 특성을 반영하여 급전측에 공진형 전류원을 사용한다. 또한 자화 인덕턴스와 집전픽업의 누설 인덕턴스를 포함하여 변압기를 완전 공진시킨다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 방식의 IPTS에서 최대출력을 전달하기 위한 조건을 찾고, 이로써 최대 출력전류 및 출력전력을 제한하는 요인을 찾아 최적설계를 할 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 실험을 통해 그 타당성을 검증하였다.
