Influence of Product Similarity between Parent Brand and Extended Brand on Extended Product Evaluation - Focus on Franchise Brand - (모브랜드 제품-확장브랜드 제품간 유사성이 확장제품평가에 미치는 영향 - 프랜차이즈 브랜드를 중심으로 -)

  • This study scrutinizes the similarity difference between parent brand product and extended brand product of franchise business and its effect on the attitude toward extended brand product. Results showed that the similarity difference is appeared according to product extended. The cognitive attitude and the behavioral attitude toward similarity difference are also appeared to be different as high in product similarity leads to high in both cognitive and behavioral attitude. The result also showed that the food similarity compare to the technological similarity has higher impact on attitude. These study results provided a significant insights in brand extension strategy of franchise business.

An Influence on Attitude of Korean Product of the Korean Wave Storm in Uzbekistan Market (우즈베키스탄 시장에서의 한류열풍이 한국제품의 태도에 미치는 영향)

  • Until now, many researches related to Korean Wave were focused on China and Japan. So, this study extend a scope of research about Korean Wave to Uzbekistan. Especially, we focused on relationship of perception on Korean Wave, self-congruity, attitude on Korean entertainment products and attitude on Korean consumer products. In conclusion, the 6 hypotheses were all supported. It was verified that self-congruity and attitude on Korean entertainment products is the very important factor. That is to say, we find that these two factors have a mediating role between perception on Korean Wave and attitude on Korean consumer products. This study's results are can use to raise Korean wave storm in Uzbekistan. Also, companies can use to improve its sale through a our study's results.

  • From near and far, Koren wave(Hallyu) become a familiar term. In Japan, Bae Yong-joon, hero of the phenomenally popular drama "Winter Sonata", "Yonsama", a nickname coined by Japanese fans. So, we research about relationship of attitude on Korean wave, image on Korean product, an attitude on Korean product and purchase intention of Korean product in Japanese market. The results are summarized as follows: First, attitude on Korean wave positive impact on Korean product image. Second, attitude on Korean wave positive impact on attitude on Korean product. Third, image on Korean product significant impact on attitude on Korean product. Fourth, image on Korean product significant impact on purchase intention of Korean product. Finally, attitude on Korean product positive impact on purchase intention of Korean product.

Factors Influencing Consumer's Attitude and Buying Behavior on the Green Products (친환경 제품에 대한 태도와 구매행동에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • This study was carried out to analyze factors influencing Korean consumers' attitude and buying behavior on the green products. The research model was constructed that values and personality variables affect on attitudes and the attitudes affect on buying behavior. Variables in the model were selected altruism and collectivism values, dominance and tolerance as personality. The results show that altruism, collectivism and tolerance have significant positive influence on the attitudes, but dominance has not. Attitudes on the green products connect to buying them positively. When consumers buy green products, a high price factor and distrust about the benefits of green products were investigated the largest concerns. We emphasize it is important based on the results of this study that green marketing should focus on social values, find consumer benefits and use trusty ways to communicate with consumers. Also, we need leadership and self-respect based on altruism and collectivism for the sustain ability of our society.

Effect of Multimodal cues on Tactile Mental Imagery and Attitude-Purchase Intention Towards the Product (다중 감각 단서가 촉각적 심상과 제품에 대한 태도-구매 의사에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this research was to determine whether multimodal cues in an online shopping environment could enhance tactile consumer mental imagery, purchase intentions, and attitudes towards an apparel product. One limitation of online retail is that consumers are unable to physically touch the items. However, as tactile information plays an important role in consumer decisions especially for apparel products, this study investigated the effects of multimodal cues on overcoming the lack of tactile stimuli. In experiment 1, to explore the product, the participants were randomly assigned to four conditions; picture only, video without sound, video with corresponding sound, and video with discordant sound; after which tactile mental imagery vividness, ease of imagination, attitude, and purchase intentions were measured. It was found that the video with discordant sound had the lowest average scores of all dependent variables. A within-participants design was used in experiment 2, in which all participants explored the same product in the four conditions in a random order. They were told that they were visiting four different brands on a price comparison web site. After the same variables as in experiment 1, including the need for touch, were measured, the repeated measures ANCOVA results revealed that compared to the other conditions, the video with the corresponding sound significantly enhanced tactile mental imagery vividness, attitude, and purchase intentions. However, the discordant condition had significantly lower attitudes and purchase intentions. The dual mediation analysis also revealed that the multimodal cue conditions significantly predicted attitudes and purchase intentions by sequentially mediating the imagery vividness and ease of imagination. In sum, vivid tactile mental imagery triggered using audio-visual stimuli could have a positive effect on consumer decision making by making it easier to imagine a situation where consumers could touch and use the product.

  • 본 연구는 소비자의 의류제품평가에 있어 개인적ㆍ심리적 요인인 자기이미지 및 의복태도의 관련성을 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구결과, 소비자의 의류제품평가는 다차원적인 구조를 가지며, 외관적, 성능적, 외재적, 표현적 요소로 세분화되어 사용되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 소비자의 자기이미지와 의복태도에 따라 의류제품 평가기준과 의복선호스타일에 유의한 차이가 나타남으로써 이들이 소비자의 의류제품 평가에 영향을 미치는 중요한 변인이라는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 이러한 소비자의 자기이미지 및 의복태도는 감성이나 이미지와 같은 요소들의 중요성이 증가하고 있는 최근의 의류시장의 경향에 부합하여 시장세분화의 효과적인 변수로 사용될 수 있을 것이다. 이와 함께 자기이미지 및 의복태도를 통해 세분화된 표적시장 소비자들이 보다 중요시하는 의류제품평가의 차원들을 파악하고 이를 강화함으로써 보다 효율적인 마케팅 전략을 수립할 수 있을 것이다.

The Effects of Product Image Locations and Product Type on Responses to Search Engine Advertising (제품검색광고 내 제품 이미지 위치와 판매 단위 유형이 광고효과에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구)

  • Product image location in search engine advertising plays an important role in consumer perception when the product is relatively low involved and has functional value. The purpose of this research is to investigate the interaction effects of product image location and product type on advertising effectiveness. Building on the literature of location effects, we show that for products for which heaviness is considered a positive attribute, product image placed on the right are preferred. To test hypotheses, a 2(product image location: left vs. right) × 2(product type: single vs. bundle) experiment is conducted and a total of 144 paricipants took part in the experiment. The results revealed that respondents show higher brand attitude and purchse intention toward a bundle product's advertising with product image place on the right. The results provide implications and suggestions for improving search engine advertising and marketing strategies.

Factors Influencing Consumers' Actual Behavior based on Different Degree of Product Information (제품정보제공수준에 따른 소비자 행동)

  • E-commerce has been developing rapidly by enabling companies to sell their products or services online. However, adoption of an e-commerce website still faces lots of problems, such as changing consumer behaviors from purchasing in physical stores to purchasing online, privacy and risk, and so on. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of consumers' attitude on actual purchasing behavior based on the degree of product information. In this study, we designed two kinds of product web pages which show different degrees of product information. The first web page has adequate product information, and the second one has much less product information than the first one. We found that according to degree of product information, there is a difference among perceived usefulness, privacy, attitude and actual behavior. And we also reveal weight difference between the two kinds of webpages. Finally, we indicated that variables have impact effect on both mutual relations and preceding relationships.

  • Recently the sales of PB products attribute shows a steady growth day by day. The consumers buy them due to low prices, however, lately they buy the high premium PB products. And thus the large distributors made a rapid growth of sales. The aim of this study is to analyze what the PB products attributes may affect the consumers' purchase behavior. First, the attribute factors of the PB products: store image, knowledge and information, quality perception, economic value etc. have effects on the consumer attitude after usage experience with PB products. Second, the consumer attitude after usage experience with PB products can have an effect on the purchase behavior. As a result of this study, the various attributes of PB products such as store image, knowledge and information, quality perception, economic value appeared to be positive effect. At the same time the attitude after buying the PB products showed positive effects on the purchase behavior.

The Effect of V-commerce Content Type and Product Type on Attitude and Sharing Intention (V커머스 콘텐츠 유형과 제품 유형에 따른 태도와 공유의도에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between attitude, purchase intention, and intention to share content and brand intention according to Influencer contents and branded content types. The results of this study are as follows: First, beauty products have a positive effect on the content intention and purchase intention as well as the sharing intention as compared to the branded contents. Second, V-commerce of innovative products showed that the branded content was more positive than the influencer content, but the purchase intention was lower. In addition, the content of sharing is higher than that of branded content. Third, the sharing intention was more positive than the beauty product, and the influencer content was higher than the branded content. The purpose of this study is to examine the attitude, purchasing intention, and sharing intention of beauty products and innovative products, which are most frequently used and most interested in users, to examine the content strategy of V-Commerce.
