This study aims at providing basic data for product planning to design smart clothing and to develop applications, focusing on consumers by satisfying their emotions through analyzing emotional factors on smart clothing, comparing emotional differences between conventional clothing and it, reviewing changes of consumers' emotion by integrating the product and clothing and researching differences of preference and purchase intention between smart clothing and traditional one. As the results of the study, emotional factors for smart clothing were analyzed with total 6 including 'technical', 'comfort', 'aesthetic', 'modern', 'fun' and 'multiple' factors. Among them, except for 'comport', five emotional factors showed emotional factors between conventional sport-casual clothing and smart clothing. That is, emotional factors of 'technical', 'aesthetic', 'modern', 'fun' and 'multiple' were emphasized more in smart clothing than conventional ones, indicating that they should be considered in planning products of smart clothing. Though there was no significant difference of preference between smart clothing and conventional clothing, in case of comparison of averages, that of smart clothing was a little higher. For purchase intention, smart clothing was lower than the conventional clothing. So preference seems to be not directly related to consumers' immediate purchase. To make consumers' interests and preference to result in purchase, it is necessary to develop smart clothing with more various applications and to prepare commercializing strategies. As the results of the analysis on free-descriptive questionnaire survey, consumers were interested in development of smart clothing to help diet with functions including energy harvesting from body motion, calorification and perspiration, measurement of motion and calory consumption as well as health-care type smart clothing to measure heartbeat and ECG. Reflecting these requirements from the consumers, they should be utilized as guidance to develop smart clothing in the future.
Since the 4th industrial revolution was thrown into the world at the Davos World Economic Forum in January 2016, the world has been undergoing major social and economic changes. In this study, the direction of quality management in the 4th industrial revolution era was examined. First, in all the major countries the industrial structural changes and smart business models were confirmed due to the convergence of new ICT such as IoT, robotics, 3D printing, big data, and AI with the existing technologies and industries. Second, we found that although the core technology level of the 4th industrial revolution in Korea is not as good as that of advanced countries, we have been working on expanding smart production methods and creating new industries by utilizing new ICT. Finally, it was confirmed that quality management is a real-time implementation of new ICT that reflects the needs of the market in real time based on big data from the planning and design stage of products or services.
This research was carried out in order to suggest useful data for planning fabrics of summer eco-friendly fashion products. For this purpose, four cellulose fabrics were dyed with natural indigo under three different dyeing conditions, then, their colorimetric properties and color sensibilities were evaluated, and their influences on color preferences were analyzed. All cellulose fabrics naturally dyed with indigo showed the characteristics of PB color tones, middle and low value, and low chroma. Color characteristics were significantly different according to fiber type and dyeing condition. The color sensibilities of the fabrics dyed with indigo were classified into three factors: sporty, classic and natural. These sensibilities showed partially significant differences according to fiber type and dyeing condition. Also, there were partially significant relationships between color characteristics and the color sensibilities of the fabrics dyed with indigo. The color preferences of the dyed fabrics with indigo were found to be influenced by the sporty and classic of color sensibility and $L^*$ of color characteristics.
As a competition of the internet shopping mall is getting worse, the manager of the internet shopping mall has to know about the internet shoppers. To know about the internet shoppers is an important and difficult task. Accordingly, this paper is designed to take a look at the direction and the patterns of the development of new products as well as changes in the needs of clients in the concepts of client-satisfaction administration executed in the administration of enterprises. In order to outlive from these economic situation and struggle for existence, we are in need of detailed strategies and service for only a customer, and differential goods from other items. The purpose of this study was to review the gap between the progress of individualization and consumrirs' expectations on the Internet shopping malls centering around the apparel shopping malls - which are most obliged to satisfy the consumers who are extremely individualized - and thereupon, explore the directions for development of on-line shopping mall designs.
This study was aimed to consider the influence of hue-tone, dyes, and mordants of naturally dyed silk fabric on color sensibility image factors and to establish color sensibility image scales of naturally dyed silk fabric by color and image descriptors. By single or sequential dyeing with various natural dyes commercially available in domestic and foreign market on the same silk fabric, a total of 66 colored fabric stimuli were prepared and they were used to evaluate subjective color sensibility image by 40 participants. As results, four different color sensibility image factors for naturally dyed silk fabric, 'delight', 'natural', 'modern' and 'attractive' were extracted. All of factors were significantly influenced by hue-tone, dyes, and mordants. Furthermore, by using color sensibility image adjectives and colors, multidimensional image scales were established, which leads to the conclusions that the results of this study help to design color sensibility-oriented naturally dyed fabric and apparel products.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the visual element of the label design image of premium lunch boxes and general lunch boxes on purchasing intention. As a method of research, the label design images and purchase intentions of premium lunch boxes and general lunch boxes from the nation's leading convenience store brands, Seven Eleven, GS25, and CU, were investigated through a survey, T-verification was conducted based on the measured average value and standard deviation was completed after analysis with SPSS 21. The results of the study showed that the label design of premium lunch boxes was recognized by consumers as a premium image that was a point of differentiation from general lunch boxes, and that the proportion of "quality" and "menu composition" was high, This indicates that convenience store premium lunch boxes could also offer consumers a competitive edge in value that is considered premium other than "price."

In this paper, the advancement in IT technology is not only inducing the multi-functionality of simple products but also changing even the lifestyle, that is, the pattern of consumers' daily life. The actual paradigm for the conversion from off-line to on-line is at the level of threatening the ecology of off-line. In this study, the diversified advancement method of off-line is in functional relationship with the increase in sales revenue and profits not only through the visit of consumers to the sales outlets for the simple purpose of making purchase but also through the application of augmented realities such as 3-dimensional sense in space and sense in reality, which are entertainment experience factors. Therefore, the improvement in the enhancement of sales revenues by applying augmented reality to off-line department store was researched in this study.
This paper presents a case study of designing the stroller and its renting system for department stores in order to verify the feasibility of the participatory design approach, in particular the concept generation toolkits and the participatory design workshops, in the product development process. As the concept generation toolkits to draw active user participation, a Velcro Covered stroller model and a Block Layout System were developed and used in a series of the participatory design workshops. The results suggest that the participatory design approach provides better understanding of what the users want and allows designers to avoid false expectation about the design context. It was also found that the experience of design team with the users in the workshop was a good source of design ideation. The study also suggests that participatory design approach can become more effective by developing the concept generation toolkits which are more appropriate for design problems and the methods to smoothly transform the concepts from users into synthesized design solutions.
Currently co-work programs between industries and engineering schools play an important role for mutual interests, win-win strategy. Industries can develop new technologies through the human resources and facilities in school and schools are able to have research achievements by applying their own theoretical abilities to real field of industries's projects. However most co-work programs between industries and engineering schools mainly focus on programs such as research projects with graduate research lab, on-site training for job and training program for field engineers. And more it is difficult for schools to make co-work programs targeted engineering education for undergraduate school students because of many constraints such as planing program, budget and indifference of companies. Therefore this paper introduces LG Electronics Display Idea Competition hosted by LG Display Division in Kumi, S. Korea and present what benefits to both school and company made through this program and unique model of co-work program for engineering education between school and company in country.
