V형 유입구에 안내깃을 포함한 액체 램제트 엔진 연소실의 3차원 비반응 및 반응 유동 해석

  • 액체 램제트 엔진의 V형 유입구에 3개의 안내깃이 있은 경우에 대하여 유동 해석을 수행하였다. 수치해석에 앞서 본 연구에서는 ONERA에서 발표한 고체 램제트 연소기에 대한 실험 결과를 유동 해석 결과와 비교하여 해석의 정확성을 검증하였다. 안내깃에 의하여 연소실로 유입되는 공기는 유입구 곡관에서 효율적인 흐름을 유지할 수 있고 분사되는 연료의 분포도 제어될 수 있다. 안내깃의 두께가 큰 경우 자칫 유입되는 공기의 흐름을 방해하는 장애물의 역할을 할 수 있으므로 두께의 변화에 대한 영향도 계산하였으나 선정된 안내깃에 의한 연소실에서의 유동특성 변화는 적은 것으로 나타났다. 입구조건을 균일 유동으로 주고 해석한 결과, 연소실에서의 유동은 안내깃의 유무에 따라 큰 영향을 받지 않았다. 그러나 흡입구로 유입되는 공기의 속도 분포는 다양한 비행조건에서 균일하지 않기 때문에 주 유동을 방해하지 않는 안내깃의 설치는 연소실에서의 좀 더 안정된 화염의 생성을 위해 필요하다.

  • High-resolution numerical study is carried out to investigate the flame stability of the turbulent supersonic combustion in a Dual-Combustion Ramjet (DCR). The auto-ignition in a shear layer between hydrogen/carbon-monoxide syngas and air was studied at elevated enthalpy condition. Comparison of a constant area combustor and a combustor with a small divergence angle shows that the supersonic combustion has a characteristics of the lifted flame and its stability is influenced significantly by the compressibility.

  • Performance of a dual mode ramjet engine based on the sensitivity analysis of design parameters (the gap between cowl and inlet spike and combustor length) was analyzed from the view points of aerodynamics and thermodynamics. A dual mode engine performing from supersonic to hypersonic (Mach no. 2 to 6) was designed in a proposed flight envelop. The design method and result were comparable to the results of the previous study, Hyperion RLV, and the CFD calculation.

  • In this study, the measurements of infrared (IR) signature were carried out using a small scale engine with the variation of the engine performance and target positions in the exhaust plume. The operating conditions of the engine were kept constant for each test, and the measured positions were sapced at refular intervals from the nozzle exit. The measured IR signature was calibrated by using a blackbody. The results of infrared signature measurements are shown in three bands for analysis of spectral characteristics. As the engine performance decreased and the distance from the nozzle exit increased, the IR signature decreased and the level of decrease varied according to the bands.

  • Optimal shape of a typical ramjet intake is examined numerically to maximize the total pressure recovery. A response surface method is introduced to approximately predict its performance with respect to the design parameters over the each design domain. The first deflection angle of ramp, the area of inlet throat, and the diffuser angle are chosen as a design parameter. ANOVA is used to verify the trustability of the achieved response surface. The total pressure recovery of the optimum model, compared to that of the base model, is increased by 36%. The loss of viscosity through the diffuser is estimated less than 5%.

  • In the study of control technique for a turbojet engine model, the Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy logic controller has been designed based on the model identification by the well designed PI controlled system through T-S neuro-fuzzy inference system. To enhance this designed controller, those procedures are proposed that certainty factors are adopted to each rule of objective groups which are classified by the fuzzy C-Means algorithm and the satisfaction degrees are matched to meet the objectives. This proposed technique shows its feasibility by upgrading performances of the previously well-designed T-S fuzzy controller.

  • In this paper, Propose to prevent compressor surge and improve the transient response of the fuel flow control system of turbojet engine. Turbojet engine controller is designed by applying Fuzzy-PID control algorithm. To prevent any surge or a flame out event during the engine acceleration or deceleration, the Fuzzy-PID controller effectively controls the fuel flow input of the control system. Fuzzy-PID results are used as the fuel flow control inputs to prevent compressor surge and flame-out for turbo-jet engine and the controller is designed to converge to the desired speed quickly and safely. Using LabVIEW to perform computer simulations verified the performance of the proposed controller. Response characteristics pursuant to the gain were analyzed by simulation.
