IMM-Based Interference Prediction and Power Control for Broadband Wireless Packet Networks (광대역 무선 패킷 통신망에서의 IMM 알고리듬을 이용한 간섭예측 및 전력제어)

  • In this paper, we develop an effective method for estimating and predicting interference power strength using the IMM(Interacting Multiple Model) algorithm. Based on the proposed interference prediction algorithm, we adjust transmission power of mobile terminals to maintain a certain level of target signal - to - interference- plus -noise- ratio ( SINR ) at the base station. Results of numerical experiments are presented to show a performance profile of the proposed algorithm.

  • 본 논문에서는 GFR이 요구하는 최소 전송률 보장과 높은 공평성을 제공하기 위하여 퍼지 이론을 이용한 버퍼관리 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 태깅정보, 전체 버퍼의 점유량, VC의 부하 정도로 구성된 세 개의 파라미터를 이용하여 패킷 폐기를 결정한다. 시뮬레이션 결과 MCR의 크기가 커질수록 제안된 알고리즘의 수율과 공평성이 우수하였으며. 스위치에서 버퍼의 크기 변화에서도 Double-EPD나 DFRA는 비슷한 성능을 보였고, 제안된 알고리즘은 좋은 수율과 공평성을 제공한다.

  • Downlink Shared Channel (OSCH) is used for high-speed packet service transmission in WCOMA. The power-controlled performances of the OSCH are studied through simulation works. Under various channel conditions and mobile speeds, the simulation results show that current power control scheme in WCDMA, especially for the OSCH power control, has some problems. In this paper, cause of problems is revealed. Also, the quantitative result related to the OSCH power control problem is analyzed.

  • Ad Hoc 네트워크에서 Threshold-Tuning을 통한 노드들간의 균형적인 에너지 소모를 위한 알고리즘 (BECT : A Balanced Energy Consumption Algorithm by Threshold-Tuning)을 제안한다. BECT는 노드간 에너지 균형을 맞추어 네트워크의 수명 (Network Lifetime)을 연장한다. 제안한 알고리즘은 DSR (Dynamic Source Routing) 프로토콜을 기반으로 구현하였으며, GloMoSim 2.0을 이용하여 실험을 하였다. 실험 결과 BECT가 실험 토폴로지에 따라 DSR의 에너지 균형을 17-31% 향상시키며, 데이터 전송율이나 제어 패킷 비율에 있어서도 향상된 성능을 보여준다.

  • MOST Network는 차량내 멀티미디어 네트워크로 버퍼링없는 실시간 오디오 및 비디오를 전송할 수 있는 동기식 데이터 전송영역, 실시간을 요구하지 않는 패킷 데이터를 전송하는 비동기 영역, 그리고 MOST 디바이스를 제어하기 위한 control 채널이 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 차량용 멀티미디어 네트워크인 MOST Network에서 현재 널리 사용되고 있는 Ethernet과의 데이터 통신을 위한 Ethernet Frame 전송 방안을 제안한다.

  • SDN(Software Defined Networking)은 효율적인 방법과 저렴한 비용으로 네트워크를 직접 프로그램 하여 즉각적인 제어를 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 SDN 의 특성을 활용, SDN 구성요소인 컨트롤러와 스위치를 활용하여 공격 정보를 수집하고 이를 기반으로 공격을 탐지하는 위협 레벨 관리 모듈, 공격 탐지 모듈, 패킷 통계 모듈 등을 설계하여 프로그래밍하고 허니팟을 적용하여 서비스 거부(DoS, Denial of Services)공격을 차단하는 방법을 제시한다.

  • NGN is a packet-based converged network to support session and non-session services in QoS-enabled broadband transport network. QoS based resource control must be defined to support differentiated services for various network users in NGN. We designed and implemented DIAMETER protocol as the Rs interface, and also defined mapping rules between DIAMETER information elements and SDP(Session Description Protocol) attributes for QoS based resource control in NGN. We selected and implemented DIAMETER protocol among alternate resource control protocols in ITU-T as the Rw interface because of simple interworking method with Rs interface and adequate AAA functionality. We defined mapping rules of messages and information elements between Rs and Rw interfaces for resource control from a service layer to a transport layer. Based on the mapping rule of QoS information elements and the interworking method between Rs and Rw interfaces, we built up a test-bed that support differentiated delivery services.

  • To verify correct operation of measuring instruments, we request the verification of measuring instrument to the agency that holds inspection devices. This works requires time and cost to the company. For this reason. We proposed "Smart Network Interface Card Model" for remote control of measuring instruments. Our model based on Web adapter, can add, delete and change the program to an existing web adapter from remote system. Furthermore, more than one program can be loaded, and can be updated from the remote system of internet. And also we can change the verification requirement of measuring instrument, hence it makes more good quality and competitive power of instruments.

  • In this paper, we propose a reliable high-speed UDP-based media transport with an adaptive error control. The proposed adaptive transport scheme controls the amount of redundancy by monitoring the network in order to adapt to network fluctuations efficiently. The feedback of receiver enables the sender to be aware of current reception status (i.e., rate and type of packet loss) and to estimate the expected network status. Based on this, the proposed transport attempts to enable reliable transport by adaptively controlling the amount of both whole sending rate and the ratio for adaptive FEC code. Experiment with high-speed network has been conducted to verify the performance of the proposed system that demonstrates the enhanced reliability of the proposed transport at the speed of up to several hundred Mbps.

  • Reliable multicast data transmission in a 1:N environment needs more sophisticated error control mechanism than that of in 1:1 environment due to ACK implosion and duplicated retransmission. Although there have been many related research on error control in reliable multicast, real implemented protocols are rare. As one of the reliable multicast transport protocols, ECTP is selected as an international standard reliable multicast protocol by ITU-T and ISO and implemented on RedHat 7.2 machine by us. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of the error control mechanism in the respect of throughput and generated control packet numbers with a real implementation code. From the results, it is concluded that the suitable values of error control parameters can be obtained from the local group size and network environments.
