A Robust Disjoint Multipath Scheme based on Geographic Routing in Irregular Wireless Sensor Networks (불규칙적 무선센서네트워크에 강한 위치기반 다중경로 제공 방안)

  • Sensor networks are composed of a great number of sensor nodes with constrained battery. Disjoint multipath scheme based flooding method has a merit that efficiently construct multipath in irregular networks, but causes lots of energy consumption in networks. Flooding method is not a suitable technology in wireless sensor networks with constrained battery. We introduce energy-efficient geographic routing scheme considered as an efficient, simple, and scalable routing protocol for wireless sensor networks. The geographic routing scheme on multipath generates a problem with a congestion. So we introduce the concept of multipath pipeline as a congestion avoidance strategy. But multipath pipelines have a big problem on the boundary of holes under irregular networks. We propose a novel disjoint multipath scheme as combined method with geographic routing scheme and hole detouring algorithm on multipath. A novel disjoint multipath scheme constructs disjoint multipath pipelines efficiently for reliability without a collision in irregular wireless sensor networks. Simulation results are provided to validate the claims.

  • On a Mobile Ad hoc NETwork(MANET), it is difficult to detect and prevent misbehaviors nodes existing between end nodes, as communication between remote nodes is made through multiple hop routes due to lack of a fixed networked structure. Therefore, to maintain MANET's performance and security, a technique to identify misbehaving middle nodes and nodes that are compromise by such nodes is required. However, previously proposed techniques assumed that nodes comprising MANET are in a friendly and cooperative relationship, and suggested only methods to identify misbehaving nodes. When these methods are applied to a larger-scale MANET, large overhead is induced. As such, this paper suggests a system model called Secure Cluster-based MANET(SecCBM) to provide secure communication between components aperANET and to ensure eed. As such, this pand managems suapemisbehavior nodes. SecCBM consists apetwo stages. The first is the preventis pstage, whereemisbehavior nodes are identified when rANET is comprised by using a cluster-based hierarchical control structure through dynamic authentication. The second is the post-preventis pstage, whereemisbehavior nodes created during the course apecommunication amongst nodes comprising the network are dh, thed by using FC and MN tables. Through this, MANET's communication safety and efficiency were improved and the proposed method was confirmed to be suitable for MANET through simulation performance evaluation.

  • The multi robot operation technique has emerged as one of the most important research subjects that focus on minimizing redundancy in space exploration and maximizing the efficiency of operation. For an efficient operation of the multi robot systems, the movement of each Single robot in the multi robot systems should be properly observed and controlled. This paper suggests Multi Robot Management System to minimize redundancy in space exploration by assigning exploration space to each robot efficiently to take advantage of the RFID. Also, this paper has suggested fault tolerance technique that detects disable Single robot and substitute it by activated Single robot in order to ensure overall exploration and improve efficiency of exploration. Proposed system overcomes previous fault that it is difficult for central server to detect exact position of robot by using RFID system and Home Robot. Designated Home robot manages each Single robot efficiently and assigns the best suited space to Single robot by using RFID Tag Information. Proposed multi robot management system uses RFID for space assignment, Localization and Mapping efficiently and not only maximizes the efficiency of operation, but also ensures reliability by supporting fault-tolerance, compared with Single robot system. Also, through simulation, this paper proves efficiency of spending time and redundancy rates between multi robot management applied by proposed system and not applied by proposed system.

Harmonic Reduction Scheme By the Advanced Auxiliary Voltage Supply (개선된 보조전원장치에 의한 고조파 저감대책)

  • Diode rectifiers are very popular in industry. However, they include large low-order harmonics in the input current and do not satisfy harmonic current content restrictions. To reduce the harmonics to the power system, several methods have been introduced. It is heavy and expensive solution to use passive filters as the solution for high power application. Another solution for the harmonic filter is utilization of active filter, but it is too expensive solution. Diode rectifiers with configurations using switching device have been introduced, but they are very complicated. The combined 12-pulse diode rectifier with the square auxiliary voltage supply has been introduced. It has the advantages that auxiliary circuit is simple and inexpensive compared to other strategies. The advanced auxiliary voltage supply in this thesis is presented as a new solution. When the square auxiliary voltage supply applied, the improvement of THD is 6~60[%] in whole load range. But when the advanced auxiliary voltage supply applied, it shows stable and excellent reduction effect of THD as 57~71[%]. Especially, for the case with 10[%] load factor, reduction effect of THD has little effect as 6[%] in the case of inserting a square auxiliary voltage supply. But when the proposed new solution applied, reduction effect has excellent effect as 71[%]. Theoretical analysis of the combined 12-pulse diode rectifier with the advanced auxiliary voltage supply is presented and control methods of the auxiliary supply is proposed. The reduction in the input current harmonics is verified by simulation using software PSIM.

  • As a domestic traffic control signal system, either the system with which a traffic signal turns into green at regular intervals or the system with which an amber or a red signal flickers on local roads without heavy traffic at midnight has been utilized. However, when the former system is used for roads with light traffic at midnight, delays and congestion can be incurred. Besides, in case of the latter signal system, the risk of vehicle crash is high. This study proposes a response type of flickering green signal system that rearranges signal system after analyzing beacon messages including sensor data. The proposed system, on a trunk road or a branch road at midnight, makes the signal keep flickering in green; When a vehicle enters the range of RSE, the transfer coverage, it transmits beacon messages regularly and Agent System analyzes the messages and alters the signal. It is a system by which vehicles move following the altered signal system, which will not only ensure smooth flow but also prevent vehicles from crashing on a road with light traffic. As a result of a simulation, traffic throughput and the average waiting time displayed 10 to 30 percent better improvement than existing signal systems, in terms of performance.

A Study on Combustion Experiments of Multi Type Air-Conditioner Outdoor Units by Large Scale Calorimeter (라지스케일 칼로리미터에 의한 멀티시스템형 에어컨실외기의 연소실험에 관한 연구)

  • The combustion test for real box of AC outdoor unit has been performed in this study in order to estimate the fire hazard in multi-system type of AC outdoor unit which is currently used for commercial use. The result showed that in test, there was explosion inside of AC outdoor unit, and flame erupted and fire spread through upper side grill. And then this fire burnt the combustibles such as wires, electronic control board, heat exchange copper plate and plastics etc inside the unit, refrigerant gas pipe was burst due to fire, and accelerated the explosion and flame eruption to outside while the refrigerant was erupting. It is found in this test that the maximum heat release rate of AC outdoor unit is 5,830 kW, the maximum internal temperature measured with infrared camera and thermocouple is $1,201^{\circ}C$, maximum ambient temperature is $881^{\circ}C$, and flame rose higher than about 5 m. It is concluded that the fire in AC outdoor unit cause fire to combustibles around the unit, and may give big damage by generating the secondary fire. It is expected that the result obtained from the test on the real object may be applied to fire realization of AC outdoor unit and estimation of fire spreading to the combustibles around in the future computer simulation.

A Design of Novel Instrumentation Amplifier Using a Fully-Differential Linear OTA (완전-차동 선형 OTA를 사용한 새로운 계측 증폭기 설계)

  • A novel instrumentation amplifier (IA) using fully-differential linear operational transconductance amplifier (FLOTA) for electronic measurement systems with low cost, wideband, and gain control with wide range is designed. The IA consists of a FLOTA, two resistor, and an operational amplifier(op-amp). The principal of the operating is that the difference of two input voltages applied into FLOTA converts into two same difference currents, and then these current drive resistor of (+) terminal and feedback resistor of op-amp to obtain output voltage. To verify operating principal of the IA, we designed the FLOTA and realized the IA used commercial op-amp LF356. Simulation results show that the FLOTA has linearity error of 0.1% and offset current of 2.1uA at input dynamic range ${\pm}3.0V$. The IA had wide gain range from -20dB to 60dB by variation of only one resistor and -3dB frequency for the 60dB was 10MHz. The proposed IA also has merits without matching of external resistor and controllable offset voltage using the other resistor. The power dissipation of the IA is 105mW at supply voltage of ${\pm}5V$.

  • Recently, a fuel cell with low voltage and high current output characteristics is remarkable for new generation system. It needs both a DC-DC step-up converter and DC-AC inverter to be used in fuel cell generation system. Therefor, this paper, consists of an isolated DC-DC converter to boost the fuel cell voltage 380[VDC] and a PWM inverter with LC filter to convent the DC voltage to single-phase 220[VAC]. Expressly, The fuel cell system which it proposes DC-DC the efficient converter used PWM the phase transient control law and it depended to portion resonance ZVS switching, loss peek voltage and electric current of realization under make schedule, switching frequency anger and the switch reduction. And mind benevolence it sprouted 2 in stop circuit and it added and a direct current voltage and the electric current where the ingredient is reduced in load side ripple stable under make whom it will be able to supply. Besides the efficiency of 92[%]is obtained over the wide output voltage regulation ranges and load variations. Also, under make over together the result leads simulation and test, the propriety confirmation.

A Design of SPI-4.2 Interface Core (SPI-4.2 인터페이스 코어의 설계)

  • System Packet Interface Level 4 Phase 2(SPI-4.2) is an interface for packet and cell transfer between a physical layer(PHY) device and a link layer device, for aggregate bandwidths of OC-192 ATM and Packet Over Sonet/SDH(POS), as well as 10Gbps Ethernet applications. SPI-4.2 core consists of Tx and Rx modules and supports full duplex communication. Tx module of SPI-4.2 core writes 64-bit data word and 14-bit header information from the user interface into asynchronous FIFO and transmits DDR(Double Data Rate) data over PL4 interface. Rx module of SPI-4.2 core operates in vice versa. Tx and Rx modules of SPI-4.2 core are designed to support maximum 256-channel and control the bandwidth allocation by configuring the calendar memory. Automatic DIP4 and DIP-2 parity generation and checking are implemented within the designed core. The designed core uses Xilinx ISE 5.li tool and is described in VHDL Language and is simulated by Model_SIM 5.6a. The designed core operates at 720Mbps data rate per line, which provides an aggregate bandwidth of 11.52Gbps. SPI-4.2 interface core is suited for line cards in gigabit/terabit routers, and optical cross-connect switches, and SONET/SDH-based transmission systems.

A Discrete Model of Conveyor Systems for FMS (FMS를 위한 Conveyor System의 이산구조 모델링)

  • In this paper, we propose a discrete model of conveyor systems, which is frequently used in flexible manufacturing systems to transfer work-in-process( WIP) between manipulators. In the case where the time required for transferring WIP's between manipulators are greater than that of manufacturing itself, as in many flexible assembly lines, the quantitative model of the transfer systems is needed to analyze the behavior and productivity of the whole manufacturing system. The proposed model is based upon the assumptions that the length of any unit conveyor component is integer multiple of the length of a pallet and hat the transferring speed of the conveyor is constant. Under these assumptions, the observation moments and the length of the conveyor can be quantized. Hence, the state of a conveyor can be represented by two kinds of Boolean variables: one representing the presence of a pallet on each quantize conveyor length and the other representing the mobility of this pallet. The whole conveyor system can be modeling as a network composed of branches and knots based on these two Boolean variables. The proposed modelling method was tested with various conveyor system configurations and showed that the model can be adopted successfully for the simulation of transfer systems and of the piloting of manufacturing processes.
