국립중앙도서관(관장 우진영)은 최근 국립중앙도서관 국제회의장에서 대한출판문화협회와 공동으로 '도서관과 출판계의 상호발전과 협력'을 주제로 세미나를 개최했다. 김기태 교수(세명대학교) 사회로 진행된 이번 세미나는 표정훈 출판평론가의 '최근 우리 출판계 동향과 전망' 발표를 시작으로 곽철완 교수의 '납본제도 현황과 발전', 최성구 출판유통진흥원 기획팀장의 '국제표준도서번호(ISBN)제도 운영 활성화: 전자출판물, 정부간행물 ISBN 부여 중심으로', 오혜영 국가서지정보센터추진단 사무관의 '출판시도서목록(CIP)제도 운영 현황과 신청안내'에 대한 주제발표와 참석자들의 질의 응답 순으로 진행됐다. 본지는 표정훈 출판평론가가 발표한 '최근 우리 출판계 동향과 전망' 발표를 요약 정리한다.

동 연구는 미국 캘리포니아주 San Joaquin Valley의 고정오염원들로부터 발생되는 ROG(Reactive Organic Gases) 배출량을 저감하기 위하여 명령통제방식(CAC)과 경제적 유인제도를 적용할 경우의 비용효과성을 비교 분석하였다. 경제적 유인제도로서는 UMPS(uniform marketable permit system)와 LMPS(localized marketable permit system) 배출권거래제도를 적용하였다. 분석결과 배출권거래제도(UMPS, LMPS)를 이용한 ROG 배출량 저감이 명령통제방식보다 비용이 적게 드는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, one-to-one permits trading이 허용되는 UMPS의 경우에는 일부 특정 지역에 대한 환경질이 악화되는 결과를 초래하는 경우가 발생하여, 궁극적으로 San Joaquin Valley의 ROG 배출량 저감을 위해서는 UMPS 방식의 배출권거래제도 도입이 보다 바람직한 것으로 나타났다.

대학에서의 생명교육은 대학의 체질을 개선함으로써만 가능하다. 가장 바람직한 방향은 대학의 전통적 정신과 제도를 현대의 사회.문화적 조건 아래서 재발견하고 소화하여 이 기초 위에 현대의 모든 새로운 과학, 기술, 방법들을 수용하는 것이다. 이를 위해 대학은 강연을 되찾아야 한다. 학문의 공동체이어야 한다. 연구와 교수의 기능으로 새로워져야 한다. 연구와 교수의 질 제고를 위해 대학은 작아야 한다. 행정과 경영으로부터 자유로워져야 한다.

학교교육이 본래의 목표, 즉 지.덕.체의 균형발달을 제대로 수행한다면 사교육 의존도는 낮아질 수 있다고 본다. 그러기 위해서는 교사의 재교육이 절대적으로 요구된다. 교사들의 근무조건을 대폭 개선하여 학습연구에 전념할 수 있도록 해야 하고, 더 나아가 대학원 교육지원과 지속적인 연수 등을 통해 학생과 학부모가 만족할 수 있는 질 높은 교과교육을 제공할 수 있어야 할 것이다.

2010년 농림수산식품부 축산분야 2010년 사업계획이 확정됐다. 축산분야 주요업무 추진계획으로 생산비 절감, 유통구조 개선, 품목 대표조직 육성, 2011년 하반기 항생제 사료첨가 금지, BSE 위험통제국 지위 획득, 축산물 등급제도 개선, 가축분뇨 자원화 에너지화 등으로 구체적인 계획이 나왔다. 그 가운데 한 EU FTA 대책, 낙농산업에 대한 주요 현안 과제를 발췌해 도움이 되고자 한다.

수입산쇠고기의 종류가 늘어나면서 국내산쇠고기와의 등급 비교에 대한 궁금증이 커지고 있다. 외국에서는 등급이 주로 유통단계까지 반영되는 반면에 우리나라에서는 소매단계까지 적용되고 있다. 본 정보지에서는 주요 국가별 소 등급판정에 대한 전반적인 표기방법을 살펴보고자 한다.

Purpose: The objective of this study was to identify relationships among the perception of quality assurance and national hospital evaluation program and nursing performance of hospital nurses. Method: The participants were 401 nurses who worked at the A medical center. The data were collected from 25 April to 9 May. 2008. The cross-sectional descriptive survey was done using a structured questionnaire. Result: The perception of the quality assurance correlated significantly with nursing performance. Also, the perception of national hospital program correlated significantly with nursing performance. However, the scores of perception of quality assurance & national evaluation program of hospital nurses is relatively low. Conclusions: These results means positive perception of quality assurance of nurses can produce good nursing performance. It suggests that nurses need more education and training for quality assurance. And the incentives will be needed to enhance the perception of quality assurance. Moreover, the detailed nursing performance indicators should be developed to measure the quality of nursing performance properly.

The purpose of this study is to examine variation and result of welfare bureaucrats' discretion. To achieve this research purpose, ten welfare bureaucrats participated depth interview. The major findings of this study are as follows. welfare bureaucrats exercised high degree of discretion in the process of implementing public welfare programs. As a result they influenced recipient selection process and the recipients' allowance level. These results suggest that welfare bureaucrats' professional accountability is as important as public welfare programs' institutional standardizations and monitoring to approve the quality of public welfare service. And limitations and implications of this study were discussed with respect to further studies.

As expectations for medical service have increased recently, the interest in medical quality improvement and patient safety has increased. In addition, as part of efforts to improve the training environment of the residents, the working hours of the residents are reduced which means that the medical workforce is expected to change significantly in the future. As a result, in hospital care of surgical patients, it is inevitable to change the patient care system by surgeon-residents to the new system. For this, the introduction of a surgical hospitalist system is proposed as an alternative. This article is an introduction to the process of introducing a surgical hospitalist system in a single institution and describes in detail the considerations This is the first case of the introduction of surgical hospitalist in Korea. Through this case, we intend to lay the groundwork for the successful implementation of the surgical hospitalist in Korea.

This article is to examine the influence of occupational stress, socio-psychological factors and quality of sleep on fatigue symptoms from firefighters in fire service. The correlation coefficients were obtained by a tool of Pearson analysis, and covariance structure analysis was performed on the factors affecting the level of fatigue symptoms. This result suggests that the level of firefighters' fatigue symptoms in fire service. has a causal effect with occupational stress, socio-psychological factors and quality of sleep. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the work environment and to increase organizational support to deal with firefighters' fatigue in fire service.
