Social Media Analysis Based on Keyword Related to Educational Policy Using Topic Modeling (토픽모델링을 이용한 교육정책 키워드 기반 소셜미디어 분석)

  • The traditional mass media function of conveying information and forming public opinion has rapidly changed into an environment in which information and opinions are shared through social media with the development of ICT technology, and such social media further strengthens its influence. In other words, it has been confirmed that the influence of the public opinion through the production and sharing of public opinion on political, social and economic changes is increasing, and this change is already in use on the political campaign. In addition, efforts to grasp and reflect the opinions of the public by utilizing social media are being actively carried out not only in the political area but also in the public area. The purpose of this study is to explore the possibility of using social media based public opinion in educational policy. We collected media data, analyzed the main topic and probability of occurrence of each topic, and topic trends. As a result, we were able to catch the main interest of the public(the 'Domestic Computer Education Time' accounted for 43.99%, and 'Prime Project Selection' topics was 36.81% and 'Artificial Intelligence Program' topics was 7.94%). In addition, we could get a suggestion that flexible policies should be established according to the timing of the curriculum and the subject of the policy even if the category of the policy is same.

  • This study reflects the regional context of Northeast Asian countries embodied in US-North Korean nuclear tension. The researcher uses the methodological inquiry of practical theology to analyze the political affairs and intertwine with religious education. The ecology of religious education to dismantle the threat of ethnic and racial discrimination such as white supremacy supports a shared pedagogy between students and their teachers in the narrative of Jesus to challenge all forms of oppression as the democratic presence of God.

  • This study addresses the crucial role of Christian Religious Education (CRE) amidst civic polarization, moral disimagination, and learned helplessness. It begins her personal background as a 1.5-generation Vietnamese American and her academic engagement in immigrant faith and the challenges of teaching faith in violent contexts. The work underscores the public dimension and impact of religious education, highlighting its potential for fostering critical capacities for public engagement. However, that study observes a prevalent disconnection between congregational culture and the aim of public engagement, leading to a form of learned helplessness among students and communities. The researcher draws on Paulo Freire's concepts of "critical hope" and the need for a curriculum that transcends mere content delivery to foster transformative engagement with societal issues. The document critiques the disimigination machine that undermines critical thinking and collective resistance, as articulated by Henry Giroux, and explores the concepts of "learned helplessness" as a barrier to environmental and social activism. The researcher advocates for a theopoetic and theopolitical approach to education that nurtures hope and practical engagement with the world's injustice. The Necessity of Establishing National Education Committee and Legislative Implications (국가교육위원회의 설치 필요성 및 입법적 함의)

  • The possibility of establishing the committee was increased because of the pledge of the President Moon Jaein for the national education committee. Thus, the purpose of this study was to discuss about its necessity and the meaning of legislation. The study method was to analyze existing studies (concept establishment, overseas cases, and legal research), media materials, and internet materials. It also suggested positive and negative functions in establishing the national education committee. Its positive functions are; first, stability of policy, second, political neutrality, third, seeking the nature of education, and fourth, improvement of possibility. Negative functions are; first, establishing the committee could be poison, second, argument in position and role, third, issue of agreement, and fourth, populism policy oriented.

집중분석 - 전력요금개편의 의미와 향후 과제

  • 최근 전기요금 개편으로 매년 여름철 요금폭탄 논란을 유발하였던 주택용 누진제 요금이 대폭 개선되었다. 1970년대 석유파동때 도입된 이후 거의 40여년만의 개선이란 점에서 '만시지탄'이란 표현이 어울리지 않으나 어찌되었건 누진단계(6단계에서 3단계로 조정)와 누진폭(11.7배에서 3배로 축소)이 크게 축소된 것은 다행한 일이다. 이와 함께 찜통과 냉골교실의 논란을 초래한 교육용 요금도 하향 조정되었고, 기초생활수급자 등 저소득층에 대한 지원도 강화되었다. 하지만 애초에 들끓는 사회 여론의 열기에 부응하여 누진제 요금만이 아니라 모든 전기요금 체계를 전반적으로 검토하겠다는 선언에 비하면 이번 개편의 폭과 정도에 다소 아쉬운 점은 있다. 여야 간의 뜨거운 정치쟁점에서 출발한 까닭에 이번 개편작업이 '요금체계의 정치화'에서 완전히 자유로울 수 없었다는 불가피성을 인정하고, '요금체계의 정상화'의 관점에서 이번 개편안의 의미와 향후 과제를 살펴보기로 하자.

Social Impact Assessment on National Development Projects in Korea (대형 국책사업에 대한 사회영향평가)

  • 새만금사업, 신행정수도(행정중심복합도시, 세종시), 한반도 대운하사업(4대강 살리기사업) 등과 같은 대형국책사업은 대통령 선거공약으로 제시되었다. 그러한 대형국책사업이 국가의 이익을 위해 꼭 필요한 것으로 제시되었다 하더라도, 그 결과는 좋은 의도와는 다르게 나타날 수도 있다. 대통령 선거후 환경정책기본법과 환경영향평가법에 따라 대형국책사업에 대한 사전환경성검토(전략환경평가)와 환경영향평가가 이뤄졌지만, 예상하지 못했던 정치적, 사회경제적, 환경적 갈등이 발생하였다. 이러한 개발 및 환경 갈등의 원인은 여러 측면에서 찾을 수 있겠지만, 사회경제적 항목을 중심으로 하는 사회영향평가의 미흡을 그 원인으로 제시하는 연구가 많다. 대규모 국책사업을 둘러싼 개발 및 환경 갈등을 해소하기 위해, 우리나라와 외국의 사회영향평가의 현황과 연구 동향을 고찰하고, 국책사업의 주요 쟁점의 분석을 통하여 사회영향평가의 중요성과 필요성을 강조하였다. 그리고 사회영향평가의 도입, 강화, 지침 마련에 대해 다음과 같이 제안하였다. 첫째, 현재의 사전환경성검토(전략환경평가)시에 사회적 통합, 경제적 측면(B/C분석, 비용, 고용 등), 법제적 측면, 한반도 통일이나 국가균형발전 등과 같은 사회경제적 항목을 평가항목에 추가함으로써 사회영향평가를 도입하고; 둘째, 환경영향평가 시에 공공시설, 교육, 교통, 문화재, 경제적 타당성, 고용, 토지이용을 현재의 사회경제평가항목에 추가시켜 사회영향평가를 보다 강화시키고; 셋째, 한국의 환경적, 정치적, 경제적, 사회적, 문화적 상황을 반영하여(사회영향평가의 원리와 지침(가칭))을 마련하도록 한다.

A Study on Exploring Direction for Future Education for the Common Good Based on Big Data (빅데이터 기반 공동선 증진을 위한 미래교육 방향성 탐색 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide basic data onto preparing soft landing plan of future education policy by exploring direction of future education for the common good using big data and keyword network analysis. Based on the big data provided by Textom, data was collected under the keyword 'future education + common Good' and then keyword network analysis was performed. As a result of the research, it was found that 'common good', 'social', 'KAIST future warning', 'measures', 'research', 'future education', 'politics' were common keywords in the social awareness of future education for the common good. The results of this study suggest that the social awareness of future education for the common good is related to factors related to human, physical environment, social response, academic interest, education policy, education plan, and related variables, It was closely related. Based on these results, we suggested implications for the support for the preparation of a soft landing plan of future education for the common good.

User Education in Academic Libraries : Research Trends and Issues (대학도서관 이용교육 연구의 동향과 논점)

  • User education in academic libraries can be traced back to the beginning of the education for librarianship in late 19th century. Since then, perspectives in library user education and the perceptions of researchers and practitioners have changed due to new technologies. Recent literature in this field illustrates wide variety of concerns and issues of user education in academic libraries. This paper attempts to highlight such issues and perceptions regrading the subject. It suggests that some fundamental features of LIS education require attention. Suggestions are outlined along with the strong recommendations in terms of the importance of critical thinking and reading, user education as a tool of library promotion, and the politics of academic library user education.

Some Semiotic Applications in Mathematics Education (수학교육의 기호학적 적용)

  • The semiotic approach to the mathematics education has been studied in last 20 years by PME, ICME conferences. New cultural developments in multi-media, digital documents and digital arts and cultures may influence mathematical education and teaching and learning activities. Hence semiotical interest in the mathematics education research and practice will be increasing. In this paper the basic ideas of semiotics, such as Peirce triad and Saussure's dyad, are introduced with some mathematical applications. There is some similarities between traditional research topics for concept, representation and social construction in mathematics education research and semiotic approach topics for the same subjects. some semiotic applications for an arithmetic problem for work, induction, deduction and abduction syllogisms with respect to Peirce's triad, its meaning in scientific discoveries and learning in geometry and symmetry.

  • The moral categories in the Mengzi have a close affinity with those of Kongzi. Mengzi fostered the Kongzi's teaching on virtuous rule and moral government, and taught benevolent government based on the virtue of benevolence. Mengzi set up a basis for Confucian teaching on human nature, and his teaching of the essential goodness of human nature has been accepted by most Confucian intellectuals. This study explores the Mengzi's teaching of moral education focussing on his instructional method to expand the goodness of human nature. Instructional method refers to educator-centered transmission of values, and it concerns mainly on how to deliver the educational goal and content meaningfully to the educatee. The main concerns of Mengzi's instructional method are teaching-standard setup, delivery of lecture key points, understanding of students' talent and situation, and encouragement of students' initiative. These points are all based on Mengzi's assertion of good human nature, and aim at forming a ideal personality. Confucian ideas of education lie in raising the well-rounded person through moral education. The well-rounded person can be characterized by noble men and sages with benevolence and righteousness. This means that the ultimate goal of well-rounded education is to lead people to attain the sublime moral stage through education.
