A Study on the Motion Mechanism of Multi-Axis Ultra Precision Stage for Optical Element Alignment (광소자 정렬용 극초정밀 다축 스테이지의 구동 메커니즘에 관한 연구)

  • The communication through optical fiber is taking an important role of the expansion of communication network with excellent transmitting rate and quality. As the optical communication is introduced to the backbone network at first and becomes a general communication method of network, the demand of kernel parts of optical communication such as PLC(Planar Light Circuit), Coupler, and WDM(Wavelength Division Multiplexing) element increases. The alignment and the attachment technology are very important in the fabrication of optical elements. In this paper, the driving mechanism of ultra precision stage is studied with the aim of optimal design of stage. The travel and the resolution of stage are investigated. The hysteresis of the stage is generated because of PZT actuator. The hysteresis and the inverse hysteresis are modeled in X, Y, and Z-axis motion. The input data of desired displacement of the stage according to input voltage is obtained from the inverse hysteresis equation. In the result of experiments with the input data, the errors due to hysteresis are well compensated.

  • We proposed an embedded capacitor with the unique electrode structure, which electrodes are located on the same plane and dielectric gap was formed by electrodes. We named it 'Gap type EC', and it was analyzed by the FEM(Finite element Method) program tool. The resonant frequency of Cap type EC was obtained at more higher frequency region. Also, resonant frequency was changed with the magnitude and thickness of electrodes. The Gap type EC with the dielectric gap of $50{\mu}m$ showed capacitance density of $55pF/cm^2$. This value is the higher than that of conventional EC. So, we concluded that the Gap type EC can be a good candidate for high frequency decoupling.

  • 본 논문에서는 22.9kV 고압 가공 배전선로를 고속 전력선 통신을 위한 통신 채널로 사용하기 위하여 전력선 통신 주파수 $2MHz{\sim}30MHz$ 대역에 대한 특성 파라미터를 해석하였다. 먼저 고압 배전선로에 주로 사용되는 ACSR-OC 케이블에 대한 구조를 분석하고 이의 특성 파라미터로부터 분포정수와 특성 임피던스를 구하였다. 또한 등각 사상법을 이용하여 유전체가 코팅된 평행 2선식 고압 배전선로의 정전용량 및 유효유전상수를 계산하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 고압 배전선로의 분포정수와 특성임피던스를 구하였으며, 특성임피던스는 케이블 단면적에 따라서 $470{\ell}{\sim}530{\ell}$ 사이의 분포를 나타내었다. 특히, 특성 임피던스는 지면을 완전 전기도체로 가정할 경우에 비하여 실제 지면의 도전율과 유전상수를 고려할 때 20MHz 이하의 대역에서 보다 높은 값을 갖는 것을 확인하였다.

Analysis of a Parallel-Two-Wire Transmission Line Coated with Multi-layer Dielectric Material (유전체가 다층으로 코팅된 평행 2선식 전송선로 해석)

  • In this paper, we proposed the method of the characteristic impedance and effective dielectric constant calculations of a parallel-two-wire transmission line coated with multi-layer dielectric material using conformal mapping method. First of all, we calculated the capacitance of the transmission line when coated by N layer dielectric material which has different thickness and dielectric constant and calculated the characteristic impedance and effective dielectric constant using calculated capacitances. When compared with the Maxwell 2D (made by Ansoft Corporation) simulation result calculated result was very similar to the simulation result within the four percent error range.

  • 최근 입력소자로 활용되는 터치스크린은 키보드나 마우스와 같은 입력장치를 사용하지 않고, 스크린에 손가락, 펜 등을 접촉하여 입력하는 방식이다. 터치패널의 구현방식에 따라 저항막(Resistive) 방식, 정전용량(Capacitive) 방식, SAW (Surface Accoustic Wave; 초음파) 방식, IR (Infrared; 적외선) 방식등으로 구분된다. 특히 최근 관심을 받고 있는 IR 방식은 적외선이 사람의 눈에는 보이지 않으나, 직진성을 가지고 있어 장애물이 있으면 차단되는 특성을 이용한 방식이다. IR방식의 터치패널은 발광(Light emitting)소자와 수광(Light detecting)소자가 마주하도록 배치되어 터치에 의해 차단된 좌표를 인식하게 되며, ITO 필름 등이 필요 없어 Glass 1장으로도 구현이 가능하며 투과율이 우수하다. 이러한 IR 방식의 터치패널을 제작하기 위하여 사용된 IR 광검출기는 광학적 band-gap이 작은 박막물질을 필요로 한다. 본 연구에서는 IR 광검출을 위한 물질로 SiGe를 co-sputtering 기법을 이용하여 성장시켰다. 일반적으로 SiGe 박막을 성장시키기 위하여 저압화학기상증착법(low pressure chemical vapor deposition, LPCVD)이나 고진공 LPCVD를 사용하지만 본 연구에서는 CVD에 비하여 무독성이면서 환경친화적이고 초기투자비용이 낮은 증착장비인 sputtering을 이용하였다. 본 연구에서 성장된 SiGe 박막은 400$^{\circ}C$에서 rf plasma가 인가된 Ge과 dc plasma가 인가된 Si의 power를 조절하여 결정화도가 70% (Fig. 1)이고 결정성장방향이 (111)과 (220)방향으로 성장하는 SiGe 박막을 얻을 수 있었다. 본 논문에서는 co-sputtering 성장조건에 따라 성장된 SiGe의 박막 특성을 논의할 것이다.

  • Due to its high power density, long cycle life and clean nature supercapacitors are widely used for improving the dynamic characteristics of the new and renewable energy sources and extending the battery run-time and life. In this paper improved dynamic model of the supercapacitor is developed by the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy technique. The developed model can be used to accurately estimate the dynamic behaviour of the supercapacitor and calculate the exact capacitance value at a certain state of charges. The model of the supercapacitor in the frequency domain is equivalently transformed into that in the time domain for Matlab/Simulink simulaton. The simulation data shows fine agreements with experimental results, thereby proving the validity and the accuracy of the developed model.

  • In this paper, vortical integrated transformers using bondwires are proposed and characterized for MMIC's (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits) In a wide range of frequencies (1∼20 GHz), where full-wave analysis by the FEM (Finite Element Method) was adopted. The electrical characteristics of the proposed transformers are compared with those of the spiral transformer. We extracted mutual inductances from S -parameters. The vertical transformers using bondwires have not only low insertion loss but also reduce parasitic capacitances and dielectric loss due to their separation from substrates. It can be fabricated easily by used of the modern automatic wirebonding technology. It is expected that the proposed transformers are to improve the performance of MMIC's applied to impedance matching, and phase shifting circuits.

  • PMMA (polymethyl metha crylate) 유기막의 농도별 최적화를 위하여 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 wt.%의 PMMA 농도별로 Al/PMMA/ITO/Glass 구조의 MIM (metal- insulator-metal) 캐패시터 소자를 제작하였다. 유기 절연층의 형성은 ITO/Glass 기판 위에 PMMA를 용질로, Anisle을 용매로 사용하여 스핀코팅법으로 소자를 형성하였다. 제작된 소자에 대해 농도에 따른 전기적 특성을 조사한 결과 누설전류는 2wt.% 농도의 PMMA로 제작된 소자에서 0.3 pA로 가장 우수한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 동일한 PMMA 농도로 제작된 캐패시터 소자의 정전용량은 1.2 nF으로 가장 좋은 결과를 얻을 수 있었으며, 계산된 값과 매우 유사한 값을 얻을 수 있었다.
