The comparative study of maximum likelihood estimation with Bayesian approach was made by statistical & computational methods in center of a priori information of static systems and the effect of a priori information on the accuracy of the estimatiion was also analyzed. Through the numerical computations of some examples by digital computer, we concluded that maximum likelihood method is better than Bayesian estimation except for almost certain a priori informations. The study may therefore contribute in identification problems of dynamical systems connected with a priori informations.

사용자의 실영상을 가상세계에 합성하여 보여주는 형태의 혼합현실(mixed reality) 기술에서 입력영상으로부터의 사용자 추출은 필수적인 단계이다 본 연구에서는 물체로부터 반사되는 적외선 점보를 이용하는 능동 적외선(Active Infrared) 기반 동적배경 제거 기법을 제안한다 이 기법에서는 대형 디스플레이 환경 내에 설치된 적외선 광원 및 적외선 투과 필터를 장착한 흑백카메라를 이용하여 획득된 적외선 반사 영상에 배경 제거 알고리즘을 적용함으로써 사용자 영역을 추출한다. 제안 기법을 이용하면 CAVE$^{TH}$ -like 시스템과 같이 정적배경을 보장하지 못하는 환경에서도 고가의 장비 없이 빠르고 정확하게 사용자를 추출할 수 있기 때문에 프로젝션 환경 내에 존재하는 사용자를 가상세계와 함께 합성하여 보여줄 수 있다.

인류의 역사는 앞으로 400여일이 지나면 새로운 천년을 맞이하게 된다 세계는 2000년을 기점으로 도약하기 위하여 VISION 2000을 제시하는 등 세기말을 바쁘게 지내고 있다 그러나 희망으로 다가오는 2000년은 시한폭탄이 되어 다가오고 이다 그것은 산업사회에서 정보화 사회로 이전되면서 우리가 모르는 사이에 디지털 시대에 살게 되었기 때문이다 디지털의 세계에서는 메모린의 절약과 표현의 간소화를 위하여 연도표기를 마지막 2자리 숫자로 사용하여왔다 그로인해 2000년이 되면 컴퓨터에서 처리되는 연도가 '00'으로 되어 1900년과 구별되지 않게 되었다 은행거래 각종공과금 계산의 오류는 물론이고 산업계 전역에 설치되어 있는 자동화기기의 RTC(Real Time Clock)오동작으로 국가 기반시스템까지 마비될 가능성을 파생시켰다 이러한 Y2K 문제(일명: 밀레니엄버그)는 크게 하드웨어 시스템 소프트웨어 애플리케이션 비정보처리계시스템(자동화기기)등 4가지 종류에서 발생하고 있다 본고에서는 이들 4가지 종류에 맞는 해결안을 마련하고 실현하는 구체적인 계획을 제시함을 물론 이어 최정적으로 이를 다시 통합해서 테스트하는 3단계방식으로 Y2K 문제를 해결하도록 제안하고자 한다.

Baekje Historic Areas were inscribed on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List unanimously at the 2015 World Heritage Committee held in Bonn, Germany. There are three ramparts in Beakje Historic Areas; Gongsansung fortress in Gong-ju, Busosangsung fortress and the outer city wall in Buyeo. The purpose of this study is to research the use plan and the condition of the conservation and management for enhancing values of the World Cultural Heritage. This paper analyses basic survey, repair, documentation, conservation, management, and the cases of the utilizing these fortresses through literatures and a field studies. This study, based on the management and use of Baekje fortresses, could give implications for the conservation, management, and use of other fortresses.

Bayesian networks have been used in studying and simulating causal inferences by using the probability function distributed over the variables consisting of inquiry space. The focus of the debates concerning Bayesian networks is the causal Markov condition that constrains the probabilistic independence between all the variables which are not in the causal relations. Cartwright, a strong critic about the Bayesian network theory, argues that the causal Markov condition cannot hold in indeterministic systems, so it cannot be a valid principle for causal inferences. The purpose of the paper is to explore whether her argument on the causal Markov condition is valid. Mainly, I shall argue that it is possible for upholders of the causal Markov condition to respond properly the criticism of Cartwright through the continuous causal model that permits the infinite sequence of causal events.

This study is a convergence study to understand the impact of political efficacy, political interest, and global citizenship on political participation. Participants were 3rd and 4th grade 155 nursing students. The data were analyzed t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation and multiple regression. The result is that factors influencing the political participation were political efficacy(r=.27, p=.001), political interest(r=.42, p<.001), and attitude in global citizenship(r=-.24, p=.003). The higher political interest(β=.37) and political efficacy(β=.21), the lower the Global citizenship_Attitude, the higher political participation. A total of 25.7% of political participation was explained. In order to increase political participation, the results suggest it is necessary to political education for enhancing political interest and efficacy.

Since the world wide web, simple and convenient tool, has proposed, the Internet became the most simple network resource which provide many informations of the world. Furthermore, various methodologies are developed to support the dynamic service such as 3D View web service. We will propose the volume rendering view program that interactively visualize the 3D data on the web. The 3D Data is obtained by stacking the 2D images along the z-direction. We also employ the COM based OCX control which is a kind of Active component. This web program will contribute the diagnosis of the diseases through the 3D visualization and image analysis functions at remote places.

Fluid dynamic constant volume combustion technology detonation has been paid attention as a "game-changing" technology to overcome the efficiency and performance limitation of the present constant pressure combustion systems. For the past several years, a number of experimental and CFD-based theoretical studies have been conducted for the basic operation tests of RDE's. Present paper include a comprehensive survey on the research activities on RDE and its core technologies comprehensively to provide a direction for the future RDE researches, yet unfamiliar domestically.

Many cities in the world are trying to enhance city awareness and city image through international events. In this study, the impact of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games on Beijing Image was investigated by survey. According to the result of data analysis, there is a positive correlation between the watching time of Beijing Olympic Games on TV in weekend and familiarity to Beijing. And there is a positive correlation between the watching time of Beijing Olympic Games on TV in weekend and attitude toward Beijing, too. Familiarity to Beijing and Beijing Olympic Games management have an significant impact on Beijing image, attitude toward Beijing and intention to visit Beijing. Familiarity to Beijing than Beijing Olympic Games management has a larger impact on Beijing image and attitude toward Beijing.

Natural gas is a promising alternative fuel that can be used to satisfy the strict engine emission regulations in many countries. To develop natural-gas engines, low emission, efficient fuel consumption, and increased power ratings have to be realized. In this study, a cylindrical constant-volume combustion chamber (CVCC) was used to investigate natural-gas combustion characteristics for different prechamber design parameters and equivalence ratios. In particular, the maximum combustion pressure and mass fraction of the burned gas were evaluated by considering orifice diameter, volume ratio of prechamber and equivalence ratio. Using this result and by analyzing the changes in combustion characteristics with variations in design parameters, the optimum prechamber parameters were determined.
