Zr-2.5%Nb 합금의 강도에 미치는 집합조직의 영향

  • Zr-2.5 % Nb 합금 압력관에서 집합조직이 강도에 미치는 영향을 조사하여 기저면 성분(F)의 강화 효과를 분리하였으며 아울러 온도에 따른 강도의 변화를 조사하였다. As-received 압력관 재료의 상온 항복 강도는 인장 응력에 수직한 면에서 측정한 기저면 성분(F)에 대하여 $\sigma$$_{YS}$ =600 + 410 F 의 관계를, annealing 처리한 등축정 재료의 상온 항복 강도는 $\sigma$$_{YS}$ = 410 +310 F 의 관계를 따르는 것으로 나타나 기저면 성분이 주도적인 강화 효과를 갖는다는 것을 확인 할 수 있다. 따라서 Zr 합금의 항복 강도는 인장 응력에 수직한 면에서의 기저면 성분에 따라 좌우되며, Zr-2.5% Nb 압력관에서 길이 및 원주 방향에서의 항복 강도의 차이는 주로 기저면 성분의 차이 (F)에 의한 것이라고 결론지을 수 있다. $\alpha$-Zr 에서 슬립과 쌍정의 임계 전단 응력 및온도에 따른 변형 기구의 변화에 대하여 논의하였다.

  • 다이아몬드와 같은 $sp^3$ 결합을 가지며, 다이아몬드 다음으로 경도가 강한 입방정 질화붕소(cBN)는 철계금속가공에의 적합성 및 낮은 증착온도로 인하여 표면 코팅소재로의 응용이 크게 기대되어 왔다. 그러나 증착시 cBN 상의 핵생성 이전에 필연적으로 증착되는 비정질 질화붕소(aBN) 및 육방정 질화붕소(hBN) 층의 대기 하에서의 불안정성 그리고 cBN 상의 증착에 수반되는 높은 압축 잔류응력으로 인해 모재와의 밀착력이 낮아지는 문제점 등으로 인해 응용이 크게 제한되어져 왔다. 본 발표에서는 아르곤(Ar)과 질소($N_2$)를 반응가스로 이용하여 스퍼터링법으로 증착한 질화붕소에서 발생하는 높은 잔류응력의 원인과 이를 낮추기 위해 반응가스에 첨가한 수소의 효과에 대해서 상세히 고찰해 보고자 한다.

Study on through the thickness stresses in the corner radius of a laminated composite structure (복합재 구조물의 모서리 곡면 부위에 대한 두께방향 응력 연구)

  • One of the major causes of stiffness and strength degradations in laminated composite structures is the delamination between composite layers. In most engineering applications, laminated composite structures have certain curvatures. If the curved composite structure is subjected to bending that tends to flatten the composite structures, through the thickness stresses can be generated in the thickness direction of the composites. Under normal operation open mode delamination could occur at the sites of peak interlaminar stress. This paper describes a technique to determine radial direction stress of a laminated composite structure using a curved beam. Stacking sequence effects of interlaminar stress were studied. The radial location and intensity of the open mode delamination stress were calculated and compared with the results obtained from the analytical solution and finite element method.

Isogeometric Shape Design Optimization of Structures under Stress Constraints (응력 제한조건을 갖는 구조물의 아이소-지오메트릭 형상 최적설계)

  • In this paper, the design optimization of structures with stress constraints is performed using isogeometric shape optimization method. The stress constraints have an important role in design optimization problems since stress concentration could result in structural failure. To represent exact geometry in analysis, the isogeometric analysis method uses the same basis functions as used in the CAD geometry. The geometrically exact model can be used in both stress and design sensitivity analyses so that it can yield more precise optimal design than finite element one. Through numerical examples, the isogeometric approach turns out to be effective in shape optimization problems under stress constraints.

  • Currently it is increasing to use th bonded dissimilar materials in the various field of advanced engineering such as the highly rigid and lighter vehicle, plastic molding LSI package and metal/ceramic bonded joint. In spite of such a wide application of the bonded dissimilar materials, the evaluation method of the bonding strength has not been established yet. Therefore in this paper we analyze the interface crack problem by introducing fracture mechanics parameters as the basic research about estimating of the strength of adhesive joints. The variation of stress intensity factor according to the elastic modulus of adherend and thickness of bonded layer are investigated. Numerical results are based on the results of boundary element analysis of four different type butt joints subjected to uniaxial tension loading.

  • 불포화토에 있어서 함수상태는 지반이 건조할수록 수축하고 습윤상태로 진행할수록 파괴에 이르게 하는 추가적인 입자간 응력을 발생시키며, 이러한 간극수와 흙입자 사이에 발생하는 현상을 규명하기 위해서는 정확한 모형화가 필요하다. 흙입자와 간극수 사이의 상호작용에서 흡입유발 유효응력(suction-induced effective stress)을 규명하기 위해 정규모형(regular packing)과 임의모형(random packing)이 적용될 수 있다. 최근의 연구결과에 따르면 흙은 흡입유발 유효응력과 밀접한 관계가 있으며, 흙의 비등방텐서(anisotropic tensor)를 구하기 위해 적용된 ALTERNAT 모델을 이용하여 구조텐서(fabric tensor)를 개략적으로 정의할 수 있다. Thornton의 임의모형 시뮬레이션은 구조텐서에 상응하는 파괴응력 상태를 포함하고 있으며, 미소역학 시뮬레이션을 통하여 구조텐서를 구하였다. 본 연구에서는 상기에 언급된 구형의 흙입자 모형에 대한 이론적 고찰이 수행되었고, ALTERNAT 모델을 적용한 간단한 비등방텐서의 결과를 구조텐서와 비교하였다. 본 연구결과 비등방텐서는 미소역학 시뮬레이션에 의한 구조텐서에 비해 약 20~40%정도 큰 값을 나타내었다.

Analysis of Bending Wire Mesh (와이어메쉬 굴곡배치 타당성분석)

  • We conducted structural analysis to investigate disadvantage of wire-mesh arranged at the plane and to develop three-dimensionally bent U-type wire-mesh. In all case that distributed loading at the whole top slab and the half top slab, and the wire mesh was bent $45^{\circ}$, flexura tensile stress was the fewest in both positive moment and negative moment, and the wire mesh was bent $45^{\circ}$ in crossway the shear stresss was the fewest. Therefore, by arranging wire-mesh with $45^{\circ}$ more bent than plane, flexura tensile stress, shear stress, displacement will be reduced and structural function will be improved.

Mechanics of Micro-Damage at Contact portion of Two Grains (두 입자의 접촉면에서의 손상역학 해석)

  • To better understand the fundamental problems of the true micro-damage in medium-grained granite under uniaxial compressive stress, micro-damage localization, initiation and propagation have been observed in a great detail in contact portion of two grains such as quartz and feldspar. For this purpose, new experimental system allowing us to observe the micro-damaging process continuously was developed. Earlier studies used the specimens of unloaded state and it is difficult to visualize stress-induced microcracks under unloading state. Thus, direct observation under loading state is very important for understanding the true micro-damage process. The results explain well the mechanism of micro-damage at two grains, and mechanics of the micro-damage is clarified well by Hertzian fracture mechanics.

  • Cohesive and frictional materials such as concrete and soil are pressure dependent. In general, failure criterion for such materials inclined with respect to positive hydrostatic axis in Haigh-Westergaard stress space. Consequently, inelastic volumetric strain always positive with associated flow rule. In this study, to overcome this shortcoming, non-associated flow rule which controls volumetric component of plastic flow is adopted. Numerical analysis based on a constitutive model using nonuniform hardening plasticity with five parameter failure criterion and non-associated flow rule has conducted to predict concrete behavior under multi-axial stress state and verified with experimental result.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the stress distribution and intensity derived from the transpalatal lingual arch in the investing bone composed of photoelastic material(PL-3). The transpalatal lingual arch wire was deflected in the horizontal and vertical direction to give the various conditions. The two-dimensional photoelastic stress analysis was performed, and the stress distrebution was recored by photography The results were as follows: 1. In bilateral expansion, as horizontal deflection was singly applied, the stress was more concentrated on the root apex in square free end than round. In square free end, as vertical deflection was increased gradually, the black line meaning center of rotation moved inferiorly together with the increment of whole fringes. 2. In application of vertical deflection on anchorage side for unilateral expansion, the stress distribution that expansive force leaned to expansion side was observed. As vortical deflection increased, the extruding stress was observed on molar of expansion side. And as horizontal deflection increased, the tipping stress on the molar of anchorage side was observed. 3. In unilateral rotation with the asymmetric toe-in, the fringe appeared on the distal aspect of root apex.
