Once refractive error of the eye was fully corrected, Maddox rod was used to investigate binocular vision function. When the deviations of subjects' eyes were measured, orthophoria. without any horizontal deviations, was found in 10%, esophoria in 55% and exophoria in 34% of the patients. Esodeviation of the eye was found to be greater than exo-deviation by 11%. This is also refracted in deviations found to be greater than $4{\Delta}$ diopter magnitude where esophoria was 23% and exophoria was 9%. Thus for the patients to achieve comfortable binocular vision function, binocular vision anomalies need to be considered in spectacle prescription. In examining ocular anomalies of corrected refractive error, the deviation of the eye differed from under corrected refractive power to over corrected refractive power. There was a decrease in exophoria and an increase in esophoria, with over correction. This was thought to be due to accommodation. Furthermore, calculated AC/A ratio was found to vary from 1.25 to 6.61 and its relationship to refractive error could not be determined.

This study is to research the differences of tear film for young people in of a day in a restricted indoor space. The subjects are 58 eyes volunteers for twice preliminary inspection and tear test of a day. 58 healthy individuals with no eye disease, no body disease, orthophoria, corrective visual acuity more than 0.8, binocular spherical equivalence difference over 0.50 diopter, the flattest corneal curvature in horizontal meridian and the steepest corneal curvature in vertical meridian were tested. The uncorrective visual acuity, refractive error, corneal curvature, schirmer test and tear break up test were performed in the morning and afternoon. Schirmer test were $16.0{\pm}7.0mm$ in the morning and $14.1{\pm}7.1mm$ in the afternoon. TBUT were $11.3{\pm}0.6$ sec in the morning and $12.1{\pm}0.9$ sec in the afternoon. They have no significant differences.

The presence-feeling enhancement method of a Virtual Reality (VR) simulator is proposed in this paper. The method is to increase realistic human feeling by mutual synergy effect between stereoscopic image and three-dimensional (3D) sound. In order to test the influence of mutual synergy effect, subject assessment with five university students is carried out using VR ship simulator having PC monitor and LCD shutter glasses. It I found that the averaged scale value of image naturalness is increased by 0.5 from $I_{nat}$=3.1 to 3.6 when blending stereoscopic images with 3D sound, and the averaged score value of sound localization is increased by 10% from $A_{SL}$ = 70~75% to $A_{SL}$ = 80~85% when blending 3D sound with stereoscopic image. In conclusion, the results show that the proposed method is able to increase the presence feeling in the VR simulator.

This study developed a portable respiratory training device to improve breathing stability, which is an important element in using the CyberKnife Synchrony respiratory tracking device, one of the typical Stereotactic Radiation Therapy (SRT) devices. It produced an interface for users to be able to select one of two displays, a graph type and a bar type, supported an auditory system that helps them expect next respiration by improving a sense of rhythm of their respiratory period, and provided comfortable respiratory inducement. By targeting 5 applicants and applying individual respiratory period detected through a self-developed program, it acquired signal data of 'guide respiration' that induces breathing through signal data gained from 'free respiration' and an auditory system, and evaluated the usability by comparing deviation average values of respiratory period and respiratory amplitude. It could be identified that respiratory period decreased $55.74{\pm}0.14%$ compared to free respiration, and respiratory amplitude decreased $28.12{\pm}0.10%$ compared to free respiration, which confirmed the consistency and stability of respiratory. SBRT, developed based on these results, using the portable respiratory training device, for liver cancer or lung cancer, is evaluated to be able to help reduce delayed treatment time due to respiratory instability and improve treatment accuracy, and if it could be applied to developing respiratory training applications targeting an android-based portable device in the future, even use convenience and economic efficiency are expected.

The Parmenidean tradition of logos which previous researches fail to fully appreciate has three dimensions of reality-knowledge-discourse. Parmenides is not just an ontologist, as the traditional view emphasizes, but also an epistemologist, as the revisionist view begins to emphasize, and, at the same time, a meta-discourser, as those two established views fail to embrace. In order to reach the third view which fully grasps such a dynamic and integrated feature of Parmenides, we should closely pay attention to the organic interconnectedness of three discourse parts of truth-doxa-proem, especially the significance of proem and meta-discourse. In the Eleatic tradition of discourse, the figure who clearly appreciated and further developed such an authentic feature of Parmenides' discourse is not, as one might easily expect, one of the second-generation Eleatics, but Gorgias who has commonly been positioned at the opposite side of Eleatism. This paper investigates how he actually both innovated and succeeded the Parmenidean tradition of logos; especially, it characterizes his discourse as an antilogy(antilogia) from within the tradition: as a 'devil' advocate' who complemented and completed Parmenidean persuasion by positing the Parmenidean tradition of logos as an arena of a huge intellectual discipline and cultivation, offering himself as a sparring partner to it, and bringing up an antilogy. In the process of this antilogy he performed in his rhetorical speeches such as the Encomium of Helen and the Defense of Palamedes he experimented and examined a possibility of persuasion operating independently from truth, which, however, is not merely sacrificing truth in favor of persuasiveness and probability (to eikos) as Plato criticized mainly focussing on his 'philosophical' writing On not-being. Rather, it was an 'opposition for opposition's sake' and serious play which purported to provide balance and flexibility to contemporary intellectual society which had too much inclined towards truth and knowledge and become stiff and to put weight on the opposite side of mainstream. It is wholly our eranos (i.e. our share of contribution) to summon and examine such sophistic tradition for the sake of the task of our times, not for the sake of Plato's task, that we should build up a healthy culture of discourse where we can share serious play.
