Construction of Citation Network of Authors Using URI (URI 기반 저자 인용 네트워크 구축 및 활용)

  • For the construction of accurate scientific citation information, author disambiguation should be primarily resolved. This study proposes a method that utilizes URI(Uniform Resource Identifier) to create precise author citation networks. The adoption of URIs for representing authors and papers in this study enables us to maintain the integrity of constantly changing citation information and to guarantee the accessibility to the right literature. In experiments, we extracted 2,872 author-centric citation relation pairs from recent major IT-related proceedings written in Korean. From those, 135 citation network groups were discovered. The findings of this study are expected to be applied to a variety of researcher network services and scientific information portal services.

  • 정보가전들을 제어하기 위한 많은 미들웨어들이 존재하고 있으며(예 : Havi. Jini, Lonworks, UPnP), 또한 계속 진화하고 있다. 이에 따라 다양한 정보가전들에대해 특화된 새로운 미들웨어들은 계속해서 등장하게 될 것이다. 또한 비즈니스 시장에서 주로 사용되어오던 웹 서비스가 정차 홈 내부의 서비스로 확대됨에 따라 댁 내의 가전들과 댁 외의 웹 서비스를 상호 연동하기 위한 미들웨어가 필요하게 되었다. 본 논문은 이질적인 홈 네트워크 미들웨어 상호 연동을 위한 통합 구조 방식에 대해 고찰하고, 이질적인 홈 네트워크 미들웨어들을 통합하여 정보 가전들을 제어 및 연동하고, 진화하고 있는 홈 네트워크 미들웨어들의 유동적인 특성을 반영할 수 있는 사용자 중심의 시나리오 기반 통합 구조의 설계에 관하여 설명한다.

A Study on Efficient Network Topology Visualization using Node Centrality (노드 중심성을 이용한 효율적 네트워크 토폴로지 시각화 연구)

  • Network topology visualization has been studied a lot since the past and developed with many tools. The network topology has strength in understanding the overall structure of a network physically and is useful for understanding data flow between nodes logically. Although there are existing tools, not many can be utilized efficiently while using the general network node data structure and express the topology similar to the actual network structure. In this paper, we propose an efficient method to visualize topology using only connection information of network nodes. The method finds the central node by using the centrality, the influence of nodes in the network, and visualizes the topology by dynamically segmenting all nodes and placing network nodes in 3D space using the weight of the child node. It is a straightforward method, yet it effectively visualizes in the form of an actual network structure.

  • 데이타 중심 센서 네트워크에서는 측정된 데이타의 값에 따라 데이타를 저장하는 센서 노드가 결정되기 때문에 같은 값을 갖는 데이타가 빈번하게 발생하면 이를 저장하는 센서 노드에 부하가 집중되어 에너지가 빠르게 고갈되는 문제가 있다. 또한 센서 네트워크가 확장되면 데이타 저장 및 질의 처리시 목적 센서 노드로의 라우팅 거리가 멀어져 통신 비용이 증가되는 문제가 있다. 그러나 기존 연구들은 데이타 저장의 효율적인 관리에만 치우쳐 이와 같은 문제를 효율적으로 해결하지 못하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 비균등 네트워크 분할(Non-Uniform Network Spilt: NUNS) 기법을 제안한다. NUNS는 센서 네트워크를 센서 노드 개수와 분할된 영역 크기 차이가 최소가 되도록 비균등 크기의 Partition으로 분할하고 각 Partition에서 발생한 데이타를 그 Partition 내의 센서 노드가 저장 관리함으로써 센서 노드의 데이타 저장 부하를 분산시키고, 센서 네트워크의 확장에 따른 통신 비용을 줄인다. 그리고 NUNS는 각 Partition을 분할된 영역 크기 차이가 최소가 되도록 센서 노드 개수만큼 비균등하게 Zone으로 분할함으로써 센서 노드가 없는 Zone으로 인해 센서 노드에 부하가 집중되는 것을 막고 불필요한 라우팅 비용을 줄인다.

A Receiver-Centric Carrier Sense Technique for Wireless Ad Hoc Networks (무선 애드혹 네트워크에서 수신자 중심 캐리어 센싱 기법)

  • Most wireless ad hoc networks use sender-centric carrier sensing where a data sender determines the transmission timing through channel assessment. However, sender-centric carrier sensing suffers from both exposed and hidden terminal problems even with physical and virtual carrier sensing. In this paper, we propose a new receiver-centric carrier sense (RCS) technique where a data receiver triggers packet transmission based on local channel assessment. Through both numerical analysis and simulation studies, we show that the proposed RCS achieves up to 20.9% higher throughput than previous receiver-centric approaches.

  • This study aims to improve the information service so that construction engineers and construction project participants without specialized knowledge can easily understand the important words and the interrelationships between them in construction practice. To this end, using text mining and network centrality, the frequency of occurrence of words, topic modeling, and network centrality in construction practice information such as technical information, case information, and cost reduction, which are most used in the Construction Technology Digital Library, were analyzed. Through this analysis, design, construction, project management, specifications, standards, and maintenance related to road construction such as roads, pavements, bridges, and tunnels were identified as important in construction practice. In addition, correlations were analyzed for words with high importance by measuring Degree Centrality and Eigenvector Centrality. The result was that more useful information could be provided if the technical information was expanded. Finally, we presented the limitations of the study results and additional studies according to the limitations.

Combining Ego-centric Network Analysis and Dynamic Citation Network Analysis to Topic Modeling for Characterizing Research Trends (자아 중심 네트워크 분석과 동적 인용 네트워크를 활용한 토픽모델링 기반 연구동향 분석에 관한 연구)

  • The combined approach of using ego-centric network analysis and dynamic citation network analysis for refining the result of LDA-based topic modeling was suggested and examined in this study. Tow datasets were constructed by collecting Web of Science bibliographic records of White LED and topic modeling was performed by setting a different number of topics on each dataset. The multi-assigned top keywords of each topic were re-assigned to one specific topic by applying an ego-centric network analysis algorithm. It was found that the topical cohesion of the result of topic modeling with the number of topic corresponding to the lowest value of perplexity to the dataset extracted by SPLC network analysis was the strongest with the best values of internal clustering evaluation indices. Furthermore, it demonstrates the possibility of developing the suggested approach as a method of multi-faceted research trend detection.

  • This paper attempts to show the status and network characteristic of regional innovation support agencies(company support agencies and R&D institutes, RISA) which play an important role in the regional system of innovation in Daegu City, using questionnaire data. Most of these agencies were established in 1990s and tend to locate in Buk-Gu and Dalsu-Gu, being major local universities which retain a large number of R&D and industry support agencies. The business areas of the agencies are largely associated with business training and applied research. Their major role is to provide the information that local firms need to acquire. It shows that they have relationships with 1 to 5 agencies, primarily in the form of informal network, for the purpose of sharing information and knowledge about science/technology and market trend. There are not many spin-offs from RISA. But most of spin-offs from RISA are located in Daegu City and maintain cooperative relationships with their parent organization primarily in the form of formal network. The main purpose of cooperative relationships with RISA is to interchange knowledges about technology.

  • In this paper, we formalize a new adaptive online price control scheme based on the Stackelberg game model. By using the hierarchical interaction strategy, control decisions in each mechanism act cooperatively and collaborate with each other to satisfy conflicting performance criteria. In addition, our dynamic online approach is practical for real network implementation. With a simulation study, the proposed scheme can adaptively adjust the network price to approximate an optimized solution under widely diverse network situations.
