PAPR Reduction Method for the Nonlinear Distortion in the Multicode CDMA System (멀티코드 CDMA 시스템에서 비선형 왜곡에 대처하는 PAPR 저감 기법)

  • Multi-code code division multiple access(MC-CDMA) has been proposed for providing the various service rates with different quality of service requirement by assigning multiple codes and increasing the capacity. However, it suffers from the serious problem of high peak to average power ratio(PAPR). So, it requires large input back-off, which causes poor power consumption in high power amplifier(HPA). In this paper, we propose a new method that can reduce PAPR efficiently by constraint codes based on the opposite correlation to the incoming information data in MC-CDMA. PAPR reduction depends on the length and indices of constraint codes in MC-CDMA system. There is a trade-off between PAPR reduction and the length of constraint codes. From the simulation results, we also investigate the BER improvement in AWGN channel with HPA. The simulation results show that BER performance can be similar with linear amplifier in two cases: 1) Using exact constraint codes without input back-off and 2) a few constraint codes with small input back-off.

  • The possibility of successful commercialization of technologically innovative products depends on the degree to which consumers select and utilize the product. Therefore, the research that endeavors to find the usage behavior and the acceptance intention of users of technologically innovative products is a very important quest. This study empirically analyzes the factors that influence commercialization of a technologically innovative product: cloud computing. Existing studies examined acceptance intentions by expanding the TAM model and excluded attitude and usage behavior. This study determined attitude, usage behavior and personal characteristics of consumers to be important influencing factors. The results of the empirical analysis are as follows: First, the self-efficacy of personal characteristics had a significant effect on ease of use and acceptance intention and perceived costs had a significant influence on the factors of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Second, research on the systematic characteristics of cloud computing confirmed that security was an important factor affecting acceptance intention while innovativeness was critical to ease of use. Third, of the usage characteristics among users of technologically innovative products, perceived usefulness had an effect on the acceptance and usage behavior of cloud computing, and perceived ease of use had an important influence on perceived usefulness. Currently, when cloud computing services have not yet become widespread to the public, this study proposed meaningful results for policy direction and commercialization strategies by revealing variables that influence acceptance and usage behavior.

Estimation of Geomorphologic Change in Saemangum Tidal Flat by Remote Sensing (원격탐사를 이용한 새만금 조간대의 지형변화 연구)

  • 위성영상을 이용한 새만금 지역의 DEM생성을 위하여 waterline method를 사용하였으며, 총 13개의 Landsat thematic mapper (TM) 위성영상 자료를 이용하여 1991년과 2000년 기준의 DEM을 생성하였다. 현장 수준측량 자료를 이용하여 생성된 DEM의 정밀도 검증을 실시하였으며, 2002년 3월에 100m 간격으로 측정된 실측자료를 이용하였다. 해안선 추출은 density slicing 방법을 사용하였으며, 사용된 밴드는 육지의 경계를 구분하는데 많이 쓰이는 밴드 4번, 5번 및 6번 밴드를 선택적으로 사용하였다. 절대고도 값의 대입을 위하여 waterline 추출에 사용된 위성영상의 획득 시간에 대해 해양조사원의 10분 간격 실측 조위를 사용하였으며, 추출된 13개 waterline의 최저 조위는 58cm 이고 최고 조위는 537cm 이다. 추출된 해안선에 수준측량 자료를 이용하여 검증한 결과 RMS 오차 9.91 cm, 표준편차 9.78 cm의 정밀도를 갖는 2000년도 DEM을 생성하였다. 새만금 지역의 waterline 추출 과정에서 만경강과 동진강 하구 지역은 강에 의한 에너지의 유입, 유출로 인한 변화가 심하여 두 지역을 DEM 생성에서 제외하였다. 이렇게 생성된 과거(19991년도) DEM과 현재(2000년도) DEM을 이용한 지형변화 비교는 두DEM 차이로 9년간의 새만금 조간대 변화를 계산하였다. 군산공항지역의 지형변화는 거의 없는 것으로 나타났으며, 새만금 방조제가 건설된 이후 개화도 주변지역의 변화가 가장 두드러진 지형적 변화로서 방조제 입ㆍ출구 지역은 빠른 유속에 의해서 과거에 비해 침식이 우세하며, 방조제에서 육지로 갈수록 퇴적이 우세한 것으로 관측되었다.보체계의 구축사업의 시각이 행정정보화, 생활정보화, 산업정보화 등 다양한 분야와 결합하여 보다 큰 시너지 효과와 사용자 중심의 서비스 개선을 창출할 수 있는 기반을 제공할 것을 기대해 본다.. 이상의 결과를 종합해볼 때, ${\beta}$-glucan은 고용량일 때 직접적으로 또는 $IFN-{\gamma}$ 존재시에는 저용량에서도 복강 큰 포식세로를 활성화시킬 뿐 아니라, 탐식효율도 높임으로써 면역기능을 증진 시키는 것으로 나타났고, 그 효과는 crude ${\beta}$-glucan의 추출조건에 따라 달라지는 것을 알 수 있었다.eveloped.   • A preliminary study on the existing attraction effect and compromise effect was started on the experiment studies about product or service and conducted on the empirical studies on things, research trips, staff recruitment process in the research and the actual US presidential election. However most studies have been limited in the theories of the frequency range and no research about combining compromise effect and attraction effect with the types of promotion. The purpose of this study verifies that how attraction effect and compromise effect in the choice option of the choice process for brand varies according to the types of promotion. This study compares the difference of choice of brand between the influence of the attraction effect and compromise effect. The independent variables among the manipulated variables are as follows : (1) Brand choice (attraction effect and compromise effect), (2) Promotion Type (price promotion/non-price promotion). This study was manipulated in between-subjects design and within-subjects design. The results of this study will be able to see the implications for the positioning strategy of offering several new products such as practical dimensions of promotion strategy because the entry of new brands rather increases market share of similar existing brands.

The Effects on Satisfaction and Recommendation according to Orthodontic Patients' Perception of Treatment (치열교정환자의 진료인식에 따른 만족과 추천에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to offer information to medical institution of specializing in orthodontic patients by surveying the influence of orthodontic patients' perception of treatment according to orthodontic treatment upon satisfaction and recommendation with orthodontic treatment, targeting patients with completion of orthodontics who have experience of having received orthodontic treatment. As a result of SAS ver. 9.1 analysis on what was surveyed from February 2010 to August, the following conclusions were obtained. In comparing perception of treatment on orthodontic treatment according to general characteristics, women compared to men were indicated to be higher (p<0.05) in inconvenience recognition (p<0.05) on orthodontic device and in inconvenience during orthodontic treatment (p<0.05). In perception of treatment on orthodontic treatment, the inconvenience of orthodontic device accounted for 79.3%, thereby having been recognized by the majority of subjects. Even the inconvenience during orthodontic treatment was being recognized by 69.8%. The orthodontic treatment expenses appeared enough to be expected by 61.6%. The frequency of visiting hospital during orthodontic treatment was indicated as saying of having been proper by 72.8%. The period of orthodontic treatment was indicated to be proper as well by 61.2%. Even understanding about treatment contents during orthodontic treatment was indicated to be understood by 62.6%. In the results of correlation among subjects' cooperation with dental treatment, satisfaction with treatment service, recommendation of this clinic, and satisfaction with the convenient facilities, the significantly positive correlation was shown (p<0.05) in all among items in each.

Needs for Integrated Care for Older Adults in Seoul (서울특별시 지역사회 거주 노인의 통합돌봄 요구)

  • The purpose of this study was to classify the care needs of the older adults aged 65 and over and to identify characteristics of care need groups. This was a secondary analysis study using data from 2017 National Survey of Older Persons in Seoul. There were 50.4% in the general group without any support needs, 17.9% in the medical needs group, 14.2% in the welfare needs group with support needs of daily living or social activity, and 17.5% in the complex needs group with both medical and welfare needs. Significant differences were shown in most variables of the general characteristics, grading of long-term care or disability, financial burden and caregiving, health behaviors, health status, and life satisfactions among groups (p<.001). The complex care need group should be provided with integrated care service for medical and welfare through multidisciplinary team approach.

Between Emotional Intelligence, Interpersonal Competence and Major Satisfaction of Dental Hygiene Students (치위생(학)과 학생의 감성지능, 대인관계 유능성과 전공만족도간의 관련성)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between dental hygiene students' emotional intelligence, interpersonal competence, and major satisfaction, as a preliminary professional dental hygienist who can provide effective dental hygiene college life and high-quality dental medical services. Attempts were made to find ways to promote it. To collect data, a self-administered questionnaire was developed using a convenient sample method, and the questionnaire survey was conducted on dental hygiene students in Daejeon, Cheongju and Gunsan from April 8, 2019 to April 26, 2019. As a result, it was found that emotional intelligence and interpersonal competence were positively correlated, and there were positive correlation with major satisfaction, and interpersonal competence and major satisfaction were positively correlated. Emotional intelligence, interpersonal competence, and clinical practice satisfaction were the factors that influenced major satisfaction. These results indicate that individually customized counseling and educational approach are required and there is the necessity of utilizing multidimensional improvement strategy that integrate emotional intelligence and interpersonal ability training program.

Dignity Therapy for End-stage Patients: Concept Analysis (말기 환자의 존엄요법 개념분석)

  • Purpose: Dignity therapy is a very effective intervention to improve the dignity of end-stage patients. A concept analysis by Walker and Avant (2005) was adopted to define, describe, and delimitate the concept of dignity therapy. Methods: Nursing literature in the National Digital Science Links (NDSL) and Medline database were searched for the definitions of "dignity" and "dignity therapy". Definitions, uses, and defining attributes of dignity therapy were identified; model and contrary cases were developed; and antecedents, consequences, and empirical references were determined. Results: Through dignity therapy patients and their families share their stories, and that in turn improves the quality of life and death. Five attributes were identified: higher quality of life and death, therapeutic conversation, respect of human dignity and worth, expressing thoughts about life and death and systematic process. Conclusion: Patients at the end of their lives feel more comfortable about death. Hospice care providers should try to protect dignity of patients in their care. The attributes of the dignity therapy clarified in this study should be applied for terminally ill patients to improve their quality of life and death.

The Impact Subjective Class Consciousness on Life Satisfaction of the Elderly: A Mediation Effect of Depression (노인의 주관적 계층의식이 삶의 만족에 미치는 영향: 우울 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between the subjective consciousness and life satisfaction of the elderly, and to see how depression affects this relationship. This includes a new way of thinking about the causes of the elderly's life satisfaction, not only for individual factors, but also for subjective class consciousness. For this aim, we examine the degree of subjective class consciousness, life satisfaction and depression of the elderly, and verify mediation effects of depression between subjective class consciousness and life satisfaction. This study utilized data obtained from the 5th version of the Korea Longitudinal Study on Aging 2014, and considered data from 4,222 elderly aged 65 and over. As a means of study, a structural equation model analysis was conducted. The results were as follows: First, it was confirmed that the subjective class consciousness of the elderly may influence life satisfaction. It was also confirmed that the subjective class consciousness of the elderly also affected depression and life satisfaction among the elderly. When subjective class consciousness was high, depression was low and life satisfaction was high. When depression was low, life satisfaction was high. Second, depression had the mediation effect in which subjective class consciousness affects life satisfaction. Based on these results, this author suggests practical and political issues concerning social welfare to prevent and reduce depression and increase life satisfaction through improving the subjective class consciousness of the elderly. First, policy measures should enhance social capital through housing support policies and leisure use support to enhance the subjective class consciousness of the elderly. Second, the provision of services for the elderly through the establishment of a community-based network to reduce depression should be promoted.

  • The renewal cycle, which newly decorates stores, has been shortened, as the marketing competition between telecommunication companies has been extended to the stores, due to the rapid increase of mobile phone users and fast replacement cycle of products. The store renewal made by major telecommunication companies, including signboard, has been pushed in order for telecommunication companies to give strong impression about their own brand identity to consumers. Consumers want stores not only to sell cheap and high quality products but also to provide customer experience, by which customers can feel store, product and service and accept them. Especially, since the competition between telecommunication companies is getting tough, it is the current trend that the number of stores is increasing much, and telecommunication companies are recently renewing their stores, with the concept of SI(Store Identity), which changes store image into the incorporated image including interior and exterior, rather than just replacing CI(Corporate Identity), when they renew stores. It can be said that SI(Store Identity) is an important factor, by which companies consistently design visual factors such as interior and sign, and then apply them to the interior and exterior of the stores, and thereby give good store image to consumers, and ultimately have great effect on the increase of sales volume. This kind of activity can be image-controlled by companies' Identity Management, and it can be a very important factor in terms of marketing. In this study, it has an objective to compare and analyze SI of domestic telecommunication companies and foreign telecommunication companies, and then suggest effective SI direction.
