In order to clarify the trend of study by the researchers in the field of library and information science. This study is to analyze the thesis of library and information science researchers in various aspects which is included in LISA and ISA, the representative database in library and information science. In addition, the study is to analyze the form of citation of domestic library and information science researchers by studying the citation written in the thesis of the database according to the classification of form and nationality. The study made a conclusion that the journal is most frequent]y cited regarding forms, which is expected to promote the internationalization of library and information science and indicate the direction of our study in the future.

The purpose of this study is to analysis the types of cited materials dependence ratio of foreign information of researchers, and half-life of some cited analysis, Journal articles from four science & technology fields-mechanical, architectural, chemical, electrical-are selected, and the literatures cited by those journal articles are analysed in terms of resource types, languages, publication year of cited analysis. In result, it was found that the order of frequency of citation is scholarly journal, monograph, Proceeding, technical report. And dependence ratio of foreign information of researchers was most higher in the chemical field. Also, it was found that half-life of mechanical is 6.50, that of architectural is 5.45, that of chemical is 9.65, that of electrical is 5.60

This study investgated citation pattems of publication by researchers in eledncal and electronics engineering in Korea. As sources to derive citation$ Koran Peridcals Index (KPI) and the INSPEC database were seleded, and some 235 articles indexed in KPI and 189 arbcles indexed in INSPEC yielded 3,414 citations. It Identhd the citation behavior of researchers in the field, compared citabn behavior by author affhation (government, universities, and industry/cnmprues), and compared the catation patterns exhibited by articles taken from Kroean and non- Korean publications. Based on the fin-, it was concluded that the citation analysis results could ydd helpful information for the provision of library and information center services and collection development. It a h provided recommendation for the mformation senrim in the field of electrical and electronics engineering.

This study was carried out on the citations within the chemistry field Ph.D. dissertations to ascertain what types of documents are the most frequently used in the research process, the most frequently consulted journals and obsolescence rate of the journals. The analysis covered 42 doctoral theses presented at 'K' university in Seoul from 2000 to 2008. The results obtained from the 3,258 citations revealed that the most frequently used documents were Academic Journal, which accounted for 91 percent of the total; 27 journals met 50 percent of the information needs; and the age of 50 percent of the citations was no older than 9 years. Finally, the results can be used as a tool for the collection management of the library. and Researcher with the chemistry field Ph.D. dissertation.

본 연구의 목적은 전문도서관인 공무원교육원 도서관의 공동수서정책을 위해 이용자의 요구를 인용문헌분석을 통해 파악하고자 하였다. 이을 위해 3개 공무원교육원의 주이용자인 장기교육생의 인용문헌을 자료의 유형분석, 자료의 최신성 분석, 인용문헌수 분석, 외국문헌 이용현황과 핵심자료를 파악하고자 하여 공무원교육원 도서관의 공동수서정책에 반영하고자 하였다. 그 결과 형태별로는 연구보고서의 인용율이 가장 높았으며, 평균인용건수를 분석한 결과, 교육수료보고서의 1인당 평균인용건수는 29.42권으로 조사되었다. 발행시기별로 분석한 결과, 출판 후2${\sim}$5년 내의 자료를 40.6%로 가장 많이 인용하는 것으로 조사되었으며, 언어별 분석 결과, 국내서로 기술된 문헌의 인용율은 90.1%로 조사되었다. 핵심자료를 파악한 결과 단행본의 최대 피인용문헌빈도(3회 이상)는 155권 이었으며, 학술지는 112종, 통계자료는 34권이었다.

This study is to examine into the research pattern of the each country then, Korea and Japan's library and information science researchers through the ISA database, to analyze the thesis in various aspects which is included in ISA database. In this study, it was investigated if there were some differences on the preference of researchers to grey literature among seven different subjects in the field of science and technology using citation analysis. The result shows that there were some differences among researchers, depending on the subject area. It also appears that the preference of grey literature of researchers is dissimilar in journals in English and journals in Korean, regardless of the subject area. Finally, partial correlation coefficient among nine different types of material was counted with the control of languages used and subject areas included. Among nine types of cited documents, the value of partial correlation coefficient between proceedings and miscellaneous is larger than that of any other coupled comparison This means that researchers who cite articles from proceedings tend to include information from miscellaneous at the same time.

The purpose of this study is to analysis the type of cited materials, dependence ratio of foreign information of domestic researchers, and to predicts half-life of life science for the collection development of libraries and user friendly information services. The journal articles was extracted from five subjects-medical science, pharmacy, food science, agricultural science, microbiology. In result, it was found that it citing the scholarly journal most plentifully, and dependence ratio of foreign information of domestic researchers was high most the microbiology. And then, half-life of life science was found 8.98 in agricultural science, and 7.11 in food science, and 6.96 in pharmacy, and so on.
