Teacher Education using Online Learning Community: Success factors driven from the analysis of representative cases in the U.S.A. (온라인학습커뮤니티를 활용한 교사교육: 미국의 사례 분석에 기초한 성공 요인)

  • As the use of Internet becomes popular along with the rapid progress of digitalization, educators increasingly pay attention to online education as a method to complement the current educational system. Especially the Online Learning Community(OLC) has been successfully utilized for teacher education in many advanced countries including the U.S.A.. Considering such trend, this research analyzed representative cases which used the OLC for teacher education in the U.S.A. and explored major factors for successful construction and management of the OLC. Among various cases, five OLCs operated by universities and research institutes were selected, and special aspects of these OLCs were compared and analyzed. On the basis of the five case studies, this research suggested ten factors to be implemented for the successful construction and management of the OLC for teacher education.

  • The employees in social welfare institutions have an importance of learning due to jop specialty more than any one else. That is because there are a variety of increasing needs in social welfare services and customer-oriented welfare services. On the basis of that, this study shows how learning orientation theories as a new organization management strategy affects the employees in social welfare institutions. It shows cause and effect relation by establishing hypothesis model based on the preceding researches. It performed empirical analysis on the employees in social welfare institutions in G metropolitan city. As a result, the hypothesis was tested that learning flow, vision sharing, openness have significant effects on member's jop satisfaction. It implies that job satisfaction can be improved, if the level of learning flow, vision sharing, openness of the employees in social welfare institutions are promoted.

Project-based Embedded System Education Using Arduino (아두이노를 활용한 프로젝트 기반의 임베디드 시스템 교육)

  • In this paper, we propose a project-based learning using Arduino as an example of embedded system class in engineering students. By introducing these Project-Based Learning(PBL) into engineering education, students became able to actualize individual theories that they had learned through their major curriculum and they were given the experience to build up their field work ability by participating in the whole project development process. We conducted a questionnaire survey to investigate the education effect of PBL before and after class and the results were analyzed using SPSS statistical program. Since PBL is mainly operated by a team system, communication skills and teamwork within the organization can be improved through interactions among the members. All of the materials produced during the course of the project could be used to make portfolio of students, which could be of great help to data for employment activities after graduation.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 메타버스 교수법 적용을 통해 문제점을 파악하고 활용방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 교수법을 효율적으로 달성하기 위해 각각 전공이 다른 교수자가 참여하여 학습법을 공유하였다. 대부분 메타버스 활용으로 흥미로운 학습법이 이루어진 반면에 다양한 문제점도 나타났다. 활용방안으로 게임, 토론, 대화 등을 통해 사전에 충분히 숙달될 수 있도록 하고, 정규수업이 아닌 비정규 교과목에서 우선 적용, 아바타 꾸미기 활용으로 보다 즐겁게 수업 참여 유도, 가상현실속에서 예의범절 지키기 등 학습 환경 이해, 학생들의 가상공간을 통해 자신들의 언어로 수업을 이끌어 흥미 유발, 젭 스페이스에서 나만의 강의실 만들기, 친구와 대화 및 상호작용 시행, 이론 교과목 수업 메타버스 플랫폼을 활용, 모의토론 및 발표 자유롭게 유도, 자신만의 케릭터 꾸미기, 진로코칭 및 상담 적용, 수업 종료후 학생만의 추가 활동 유도 등 활용방안이 제시되었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 동물의 십자인대 질환의 진단지표인 경골고원각도(TPA)를 자동으로 측정하는 딥러닝 소프트웨어 기법을 제안한다. 동물 X-ray 영상에서 나타나는 피사체의 위치와 형태에 대한 다양한 변이는 TPA(Tibial Plateau Angle) 지표 산출에 필요한 특징점 검출과정에서 학습 효율을 현저하게 저하시킨다. 이에 본 연구에서는 YOLO(You Only Look Once) 기반 모델을 사용하여 일차적으로 경골영역의 분할 단계를 수행하고, 이어서 경골 상단부의 과간융기와 복사뼈의 중심점을 찾는 과정을 Resnet 기반의 특징점 추출 모듈로서 구현함으로써 학습의 효율과 지표 검출의 정확도를 향상시켰다. 총 201 개의 실제 X-ray 영상을 사용하여 학습 속도와 영역 분할 및 특징점 추출의 정확도 측면을 고려함으로 제안된 이론의 타당성을 실험적으로 평가하였다.

  • The information infrastructure between all the elementary and middle schools of the nation have made it possible to build an environment to breed competent students for our future society. However, since the focus of computer education has been mostly on utilization, it has created many problems such as limitation of creativity, weakening the self-studying skill and many other. Consequently this study is for the development of the textbooks of the computer principles in education and shows the affirmative effect of the improvement of creativity through their application.

  • The purpose of this paper is to develope a neurofuzzy system for a ship design which can determine efficiently design values e.g. principal dimensions and hull factors in a conceptual design. The neurofuzzy system for a ship design(NeFHull) applies a information about given input-output data to fuzzy theories and deals these fuzzificated values with neural networks, e.g. first, redefines normalized input-output data ad membership functions and then executes these fuzzficated information with backpropagation neural networks. We use a hybrid learning algorithm in the training of neural networks and examine the usefulness of suggested method through mathematical and mechanical examples.

  • Color segmentation is one of the most challenging problems in image processing especially in case of handling the images with cluttered background. Great amount of color segmentation methods have been developed and applied to real problems. In this paper, we suggest a new methodology. Our approach is focused on background extraction, as a complimentary operation to standard foreground object segmentation, using self-organizing feature selective property of unsupervised self-learning paradigm based on the competitive algorithm. The results of our studies show that background segmentation can be achievable in efficient manner.

  • The importance of Knowledge Management (KM) can be easily recognized in many diverse aspects of the theory studies and in KM's efforts to help implement the government's policy to innovate corporation management. The core of KM is to improve the circulation of knowledge by generation, accumulation, sharing, utilization and acquisition by learning. The improvement of knowledge circulation would result in high quality and quantity of intellectual assets in corporations and make decision-making more efficient. This, too, is the operational philosophy of the special libraries. The primary objective of this study is to promote KM by presenting KM methodology and by explaining a theoretical background and cases, based on the existing special libraries. I cite an example of a case wherein merging intellectual assets and human resources activated the company culture. The reference service system, which is the core of the special library, was used in this merging.

  • It is inevitable for college students to be confused when they first face university education, which requires them to be self-reliant and responsible, after finishing their course of education, which is passive under control of period and environment, in primary, middle, and high schools. Introduction to college courses, which require students to be subjective and responsible, to be taken after chronically and environmentally controlled primary and secondary education, are but confusing. In this stage, college education should provide ground for educational system so that students can escape from repetitively enforced way of studying of fixed curriculums and study creatively and subjectively while befitting each individual's aptitude. For instance, in programming classes in engineering school, students scholastic achievements are closely interrelated with the professor's educational principles. A change in method of education, from one previously focused on theoretical contents to one centered on practices and experiments, can reap good results. Also, as the need arose for introduction of practice-focused evaluation system, from recognition-centered professor evaluating system to enablement of actively developing creative and self-reliant way of learning, we applied the Rublic System. It is a feedback system that all or most students become the evaluators, of which the indicators of evaluation such as category, standard, and score are public. We have looked into whether or not there has been an improvement in GPAs of students, and if there exists an improvement then what efforts should be made to solidify the system.
