QR-code finder recognition using four directional scanning method (네 방향 스캔 방법을 이용한 QR코드 파인더 인식)

  • This paper describes a method to detect QR-code finders by four-direction scanning. The finder recognition is the first step in the QR-code recognition. If the finder is missing, QR-code recognition fails. The existing QR-code recognition method has a problem that the recognition performance decreases for perspectively distored images. To overcome the problem, we introduce four-direction scanning and a candidate set image to accurately detect QR-code finders. Using morphological operations detect the QR-code finder in the candidate set image robustly. To show the effectiveness of our method, we compared our method with the well-known existing method. The experimental result indicates that the proposed method is superior to the existing method in terms of the finder recognition performance.

  • Detection of faces on still color images with arbitrary backgrounds is attempted in this paper. The newly proposed method is invariant to arbitrary background, number of faces, scale, orientation, skin color, and illumination through the steps of color clustering, cluster scanning, sub-block processing, face area detection, and face verification. The sub-block method makes the proposed method invariant to the size and the number of faces in the image. The proposed method does not need any pre-training steps or a preliminary face database. The proposed method may be applied to areas such as security control, video and photo indexing, and other automatic computer vision-related fields.

  • In This Paper, We Propose the Development of a Medical Questionnaire Recognition System using Vision Technology. The Proposed System is Able to Accurately Recognize and Effectively Process a Large Number of Questionnaires used in Community Health Surveys in the Medical and Health Fields. The System Consists of Questionnaire Scanning, Answer Recognition and Error Data Processing, Result Data Verification, Image Storage and DB Construction, and Analysis of Questionnaire Results. Unlike Existing Systems, This System is Free from the Form of Questionnaires used, and Enables Accurate Recognition by Processing Various Markings and Erroneous Markings. Experimental Results Show that the Proposed System has 98.9% Recognition rate.

A Design of Korean Language Parsing based on Subcategorization (하위범주화에 의한 한국어 파싱 설계)

  • This paper discusses a design for Korean language parsing based on subcategorization. First, we discuss some important Korean grammar elements such as syntax category, josa, omi-conjugation, syntactic affix, dependent noun and also discuss subcategorization and expression patterns. Then, we show the basic structure of Korean language parsing process. The first stage scans the input sentence and processes article, noun phrase, numeral, josa, affix, dependent noun, adjective, omi-conjugation, adverb, auxiliary verb. The second stage deals with subcategorization patterns and expression patterns. The third stage processes the clauses and the fourth stage deals with SEA(Sentence Ending+Auxiliary).

  • 컴퓨터 그래픽스 기술과 H/W의 발달로 3D GIS에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 최근 3D GIS에 대한 활발한 연구 중 3D 가상도시의 구축이 중요한 연구로 떠오르고 있다. 3D 가상도시는 국방, 교통, 통신, 지적, 지하시설물, 관광, 도시계획, 도시모델링 등에 다양하게 활용될 수 있다. 현재 우리나라에서 3D 가상도시의 구축은 미약하지만 앞으로 그 수요는 더욱 더 많아질 것이다. 3D 가상도시의 구축에는 GIS, 컴퓨터 그래픽스, Database, 자료구조, 3D 모델링 등의 다양한 기술이 필요하다. 3D 가상도시의 구축의 방법은 크게 1/1,000수치지도+실제측량, 1/1,000수치지도+입체 인공위성 영상+수치사진측량, 1/1,000수치지도+항공사진측량 도화원도, 1/1,000수치지도+항공레이저스캐닝의 방법을 적용해 볼 수 있다. 현재 우리나라 여건상 첫 번째 방법이 가장 일반적으로 사용이 되나 도화원도에 대한 규제를 완화하여 세 번째 방법을 적용하는 것이 가장 효과적일 것이다. 3D 가상도시는 인터넷 기술과 접목이 되어 3D Web GIS의 형태로 앞으로의 GIS 주류를 이룰 것이다. 그러나 국내에서 3D 가상도시의 구축에 관한 연구는 미약한 수준이다. 3D 자료취득, 자료처리, 모델링 부문에 대한 연구가 시급하다.

Development of line-scanning two-photon microscopy based on spatial and temporal focusing for tryptophan based auto fluorescence imaging (고속 트립토판 자가형광 이미징을 위한 시공간적 집중 기반의 라인 스캐닝 이광자 현미경 개발)

  • Two-photon microscopy (TPM) is minimally-invasive 3D fluorescence microscopy based on nonlinear excitation, and TPM can visualize cellular structures based on auto-fluorescence. Line-scanning TPM is one of high-speed TPM methods without sacrificing the image resolution by using spatial and temporal focusing. In this paper, we developed line-scanning TPM based on spatial and temporal focusing for auto-fluorescence imaging by exciting the tryptophan. Laser source for this system was an optical parametric oscillator (OPO) and it made near 570 nm femtosecond pulse laser. It had 200fs pulse width and 1.72 nm bandwidth, so that the achievable depth resolution was 2.41um and field of view (FOV) is 10.8um. From the characterization, our system has 3.0 um depth resolution and 12.3 um FOV. We visualized fixed leukocyte cell sample and compared with point scanning system.

  • 셀 내의 모바일 노드들의 수가 많고 셀 간의 이동이 빈번한 고속 모바일 네트워크에서는 기존 802.11 프로토콜로는 좋은 성능을 보장할 수 없다. 셀 내에 새로 진입한 노드들은 네트워크에 참여하기 위해 자신의 존재 여부를 알려야 한다. 802.11 표준에서는 이러한 선행되어야 할 작업을 스캐닝, 인증, 결합의 3가지 단계로 규정한다. 이 등록 작업은 셀 내의 다른 데이터 패킷을 보내려는 노드들과의 경쟁을 통해 이루어진다. 그러므로 셀 내의 노드 수가 많을 경우 기본적인 통신을 위해 선행되어야 할 등록 작업이 지연될 수 있다. 802.11 표준에서는 DCF 방식을 기본 매체 접근 프로토콜로 한다. DCF는 BEB (Binary Exponential Backoff) 알고리즘을 기반으로 한다. BEB 알고리즘의 여러 문제점[5]으로 이를 대체할 알고리즘이 연구되어왔으며, 그룹화를 통해 경쟁하는 노드의 수를 줄이는 방법도 고려되었다. 본 논문에서는 802.11의 성능 평가를 위한 모델링에 Markov chain을 이용한 논문[1]을 기반으로 하나의 노드가 등록 작업에 소요하는 평균 시간을 해석적으로 계산하였다. 셀 내의 전체 노드 수에 증가함에 따라 등록 시간을 계산하고, 직접 시뮬레이션을 통해 수식으로 얻어진 결과와 비교하였다. 또한 그룹화를 시뮬레이션 하여 전체 노드 수에 따라서 적절한 그룹 수의 조정이 그룹화하지 않았을 경우보다 더 나은 성능을 보여줄 수 있다는 것을 보였다.

  • Mobile broadband wireless network is emerging as one of the hottest research areas due to technical advances, and the demands of users who wish to enjoy the same network experience on the move. In this paper, we investigate the handover process at the medium access control (MAC) layer in an IEEE 802.16e-based system. In particular, we identify problems concerned with the scan initiation Process called cell reselection and propose a received signal strength (RSS) estimation scheme to dynamically trigger a scanning process. We show how the RSS estimation scheme can timely initiate a scanning process by anticipating RSS values considering scan duration required.

  • The algorithm that is proposed in this paper defined a probability function to count connection process and connection-end process to apply TRW algorithm to voice network. Set threshold to evaluate the algorithm that is proposed, Based on the type of connection attack traffic changing the probability to measure the effectiveness of the algorithm, and Attack packets based on the speed of attack detection time was measured. At the result of evaluation, proposed algorithm shows that DDoS attack starts at 10 packets per a second and it detects the attack after 1.2 seconds from the start. Moreover, it shows that the algorithm detects the attack in 0.5 second if the packets were 20 per a second.

  • In this paper, we conducted a test of the 3D printer injection method and LSU (Laser Scanning Unit) feature a fusion of the polygon mirror scanning system that is the core mechanism operation for 3D printers for office laser printers SLA system. These tests ensure that the laser was operating and control well was confirmed that a certain point is output to the X-axis by means of a laser module and a polygon mirror. And confirmed after the F-theta lens is incident on the fixed laser power of the beam, and correction according to the correction beam on the mirror reflection was confirmed jineunji the focus according to the Z-axis upper plate.
