  • Thyristor는 많은 전력기기와 결합되어 전기기기 전반의 양상을 크게 변화시키고 있다. 예를 들면 변압기의 불꽃없는 탭이나 회전기의 정류자에 대치되는 무정류자전동기와 그리고 개폐기, 차단기의 대용등을 생각할 수 있다. 전력변환장치로서는 (1)직류전력을 조정하는 목적으로 Thyristor를 일종의 스위치로써 직류전압을 단속시켜 직류평균전력을 제어하는 DC Chopper (2)교류전원에 두개의 Thyristor를 역병렬접속하여 교류전류의 통전기간을 위상제어에 의하여 교류를 제어하는 AC Chopper (3)직류를 교류로 변환하는 자여식 inverter등이 있다. 본 해설에서는 지면관계상 D.C Chopper방식에 대한 기본회로와 그의 이용만을 취급한다.

A Study on the Forging Process Development of the Commutator of an Automotive Starting Motor (자동차용 시동 모터 정류자의 단조공정 개발에 관한 연구)

  • Commutators of a starting motor for automobiles has been produced through various processes such as forging, segmenting, and assembling. And the conventional method producing an automotive motor commutator is not appropriate for saving material and cost, because it makes each segment separated one by one. Therefore a new process design is required in oder to avoid the assembling process. In this study, a new process design of the commutator of an automotive starting motor has been carried out to save material and manufacturing time by FE analysis. In the FE analysis, three forging processes are proposed for producing the copper(ASTM Cl1000) commutators of a starting motor. And forging experiments are performed to make an unsegmented commutator in order to verify the theoretically proposed process. And then, in order to get the final product, the forged commutator is passed through various postprocessing such as resin terming, and machining. From the experimental result, the forging process proposed from the FE analysis is verified to be an economical method for producing the commutator of an automotive starting motor.

  • Mobile phone is a representative personal communication tool among wireless communication devices. Recently, with the miniaturization and light-weight trend of mobile phone, the vibration motor has been replaced by coin type. The required performances of coin type vibration motor needed by user are long life, higher vibration, and thin thickness. Also the most important factor determines the performance of vibration motor is long-term reliability, which is mainly related to PCB plating technique for commutator. In this study, three types of fault were categorized to analyze the cause for malfunction of vibration motor. And, hardness and surface morphology on plating surface are also investigated to optimize the plating method and plating conditions. As a result, new plating method and conditions were proposed to increase the durability of PCB commutator.

A Method for Locating Bus Stops Considering Traffic Safety at Signalized Intersections (교통안전을 고려한 신호교차로 버스정류장 설치방법에 관한 연구)

  • Currently, the only established criteria is on the location of bus stops on principal roads where uninterrupted flow mainly occurs. There are no clear guidelines on any method to locating bus stops considering the characteristics of bus operation and pedestrians. If the location or exterior of a bus stop is inappropriate, road users including bus drivers and pedestrians will be caused serious dangerous and inconvenience. In this study, the research below was performed in order to propose rational criteria for the location of bus stops integrated with or separated from speed-change lanes at signalized intersections considering smooth traffic flow and the characteristics of bus operation and pedestrians as well as traffic safety : First, the appropriate length of each of the near-side and far-side bus stops was calculated by categorizing bus stops to be constructed into those integrated with speed-change lanes and those separated from speed-change lanes. Secondly, the appropriate length of each of the bus stops divided into near-side bus stops and far-side bus stops and integrated with or separated from speed-change lanes was selected by considering the characteristics of pedestrians. Thirdly, whether the construction locations of bus stops were appropriate or not was determined based on the appropriate length of bus stops integrated with or separated from speed-change lanes, which was calculated and selected by considering traffic flow and the characteristics of pedestrians and considering traffic safety. The method for locating bus stops considering traffic flow, the characteristics of pedestrians, and traffic safety will be able to help suggestion criteria of bus stop and the location of safe and pleasant bus stops.

Analysis of the Encoder Composite Signal for a Absolute Position Detection of the Permanent Magnet Type Synchronous Motor (영구자석형 동기전동기의 절대 위치 검출을 위한 엔코더 복합 신호의 분석)

  • For driving a sinusoidal type permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum continuous torque, a $120^0$ delayed three phase sinusoidal current input which matched with the absolute rotor position is needed at a stator coil. So, the detection of absolute rotor position is required inevitably. Thus the right angle relationship between stator magnetic field and rotor magnetic field has to be preserved at a stator by this commutation action. The detection of a absolute position for the commutation can be made generally by the output signal analysis of the encoder attached at a motor shaft. This study purposes to design signal processing logic circuits which can detect the absolute position of motor with a modem encoder system and generate the three reference wave for making sinusoidal current input at a stator coil.

  • A dynamo set for a high-power induction motor drive is expensive and needs a long time to manufacture. Therefore, the development of a simulator that functions as the induction motor and load equipment is required. A load simulator of an inverter for a high-power three-phase induction motor consists of a reactor and three-phase PWM inverter. Therefore, it cannot simulate the dynamic characteristics of an induction motor and functions only as a load. In this paper, a real-time simulator is proposed to simulate a model of an induction motor and the load characteristics based on an LCL filter and three-phase PWM rectifier for a three-phase induction motor. The currents of a PWM inverter that simulate the stator currents of the motor are controlled by the inductor currents and capacitor voltages of the LCL filter. The capacitor voltages of the LCL filter simulate the induced voltages in the stator windings by the rotating rotor fluxes of the motor, and the capacitor voltages are controlled by the inductor currents and a PWM rectifier. The rotor currents, the stator and rotor flux linkages, the electromagnetic torque, the slip frequency, and the rotor speed are derived from the inverter currents and the motor parameters. The electrical and mechanical model characteristics and the operation of vector control were verified by MATLAB/Simulink simulation.

  • Thyristor motor 또는 Commutatorless motor는 특수한 전동기의 명칭이 아니라 분배기를 사용한 자제식인버어터에 의해 제어되는 동기전동기 system의 총칭이고 특히 이와 같은 system에 적합한 동기전동기의 연구는 Alexanderson, Stohr의 무정류전동기의 이론적 고찰에서부터 시작하였다. Thyristor motor는 최근의 다이리스터의 발달에 따라 이 소자의 Switching 회로를 다상화하여 직류전동기의 정류자, 브러시를 다이리스터에 의한 스위칭작용으로 치환시키고, 직류정도기와 거의 등가되는 특성을 얻도록 연구되었고 Thyristor motor의 탄생을 Motors have graduated from the laboratory into commercial applications라고 발표하였다. 여기서 다이리스터를 사용한 가변주파수에 의한 동기전동기의 속도제어 system으로서의 구체적인 2-3의 회로예로서 이 새로운 전동기를 해설하고자 한다.

  • 세계제2차대전이후, 급속도로 발전해온 전기 및 전자공학으로 말미암아 현재의 시대를 electronic시대라고 불러도 과언이 아니다. 이러한 전자공학의 발전으로 수많은 전자장치소자가 새로이 개발되었다. 그중에서 전기 및 전자회로에서 없어서는 안될 싸이리스터라는 반도체소자가 있다. 싸이리스터의 특성을 응용하여 정지스위치로서 과전압보호회로, 지연회로, 온도조절기, 전자충전용, 조정기, 변압기탭전환, 용접기의 제어회로등에 이용되며 위상제어용으로 조광회로, 전기로의 온도제어, 전동기의 속도제어, 직류전동기의 주전류제어회로에 이용되고 전류기로서 정전압전원, 정정류전원으로 이용하며 쵸퍼, 인버어터로서 직류를 단속시키며 다시 교류로 변환하여 전압을 변화시킬 수 있다. 이밖에 정류자나 부러쉬가 없는 모터를 제조할 수 있다.

  • 다이리스테레오나드방식과 쵸퍼방식에 의한 직류전동기의 운전에 대하여 개략적으로 검토하였다. 고정도 가변속도제어를 요하는 산업부문에서는 다이리스터레오나드제어방식이 많이 사용되며, 전시, 전기자동차와 같은 수송기관에는 쵸퍼방식이 주로 사용되고 있다. 그러나 직류기는 구조상 정류자 및 브러쉬를 갖고있으므로 보수문제, 용량 및 속도의 제한, 편용환경의 제약 및 고가인 난점이 있는 관계상, 직류기 대신에 교류기를 모든 분야에서 편용하기 위한 연구가 근년 활발히 전개되어, 현재 산업분야는 물론 전철과 같은 수송기관에 까지 인버어터제어에 의한 교류기운전의 사용례가 발표되어 있다. 현단계에서는 경제성 및 제어성의 관점에서 교류시시스템이 직류기시스템보다 우수하다고는 할 수 없지만, 직류기시스템이 금후에도 계속하여 발전하기 위해서는 경제성을 제1위주로 부단한 연구가 필요한 시기라 생각된다.
