인터넷 서비스 품질의 향상을 위해 고성능 서버의 증설 및 트래픽 분산 등 서비스 대역의 확장으로 인터넷 접속 장치인 서버 및 가입자망의 접속 속도는 급속히 향상되었으나, 인터넷의 접속 품질과 속도에 대한 만족도는 기대에 못 미치고 있다. 이러한 문제는 인터넷 접속장치의 증설로는 증가하는 트래픽을 수용하는 데에는 한계가 있고, 사용자측 노드에서 CP(Content Provider) 서버를 이르는 미들마일(Middel-mile) 구간이 개선되지 못하는데 원인이 있다. 본 논문에서는 지역적으로 분산된 멀티 사이트 인터넷 환경에서 각 클라이언트의 위치에 따라 클러스터링된 서버들의 로드 밸런싱을 유지하면서 서버와 사용자 측 노드를 최소화하여 사용자에게 효율적인 서버를 선택하는 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법에는 효율적인 서버를 선택하기 위해 네트워크 상태 감시자(NSP)와 컨텐츠 서버 관리자를 두어 각 서버의 상태와 각 분산된 네트워크의 상태를 파악할 수 있도록 하였으며, 서버 선택 알고리즘과 알고리즘을 실현하기 위한 서비스 구조를 제시하였다. 또한, 효율적인 서비스 서버를 선택하기 위한 인자들과 측정방법을 나타내었으며, 제안된 서비스 구조에서 실험을 통하여 타당성을 확인하였다.

IPsec 기술은 양단간 보안은 물론, 모드, 암호 프로토콜, 다양한 암호화 알고리즘들의 조합을 통해서 다양하고 계층적인 보안 서비스를 제공한다. VPN 서비스가 제공되는 가장 일반적인 유형은 원격 접속자의 공동 인트라넷에 대한 접근을 허용하는 것이다. 하지만 NAT(Network Address Translation) 기술이 호텔과 같이 원격 접속자가 주로 사용하는 곳은 물론 홈 게이트웨이와 같은 네트워크 장치에 널리 사용되고 있어 IPsec 을 통한 양단간 통합 보안 서비스를 제공하는데 치명적인 장애가 발생한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 IPsec 기술을 NAT 상의 네트워크에 적용할 때 발생하는 문제점과 기존의 해결 방안에 대해서 언급하고 이들의 장 단점을 분석한다. 또한 효율적으로 IPsec 기술을 NAT 네트워크 상에 적용할 수 있는 새로운 연동 방안을 제시함으로써 네트워크 구조에 독립적인 보안 서비스를 제공하고자 한다.

최근 개인 휴대폰의 대중화에 따라 기존의 유선 인터넷 환경과 휴대폰 서비스가 결합된 무선 인터넷서비스가 각광을 받고 있다. 현재 웹을 기반으로 WAP 인터페이스를 제공하는 회사들은 디스크 기반DBMS를 사용한다. 데이터의 전송 속도가 유선 상에 비해 떨어지고 회선이 불안정한 무선 인터넷의 특성상, 응답 시간이 느릴 결우 사용자는 서비스 이용에 큰 불편을 느낄 수밖에 없고, 이용상에 오류가 생길 가능성이 높아진다. 이에 비추어 볼 때 응답 시간은 기존의 유선 인터텟 서비스에 비해 더욱 중요한 요소로 작용한다. 디스크 기반 DBMS는 이와 같은 요구 조건을 만족하지 못한다. 그에 반해 구조가 간단하면서 높은 성능을 낼 수 있는 메인 메모리 DBMS는 무선 인터넷 서비스에 적합한 환경을 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 2세대 고성능 메인 메모리 DBMS인 P＊TIME을 이용하여 무선 인터넷 서버를 구현하고, 그 성능을 상용 DRDBMS인 Oracle을 이용했을 때의 성능과 비교 분석해 본다. WML, WML Script, JSP를 이용하여 PIMS 서비스를 구현해 본 결과, 동시 접속자 수가 늘어남에 따라 Oracle과 P＊TIME의 성능 차이는 더욱 크게 벌어져 동시 접속자 수가 50명일 경우 P＊TIME이 100배 이상의 성능을 보였다.

최근 웹 변조 공격은 대형 포탈, 은행, 학교 등 접속자가 많은 홈페이지에 악성 URL을 불법 삽입하여 해당 URL을 통해 접속자 PC에 자동으로 악성코드 유포하고 대규모 봇넷(botnet)을 형성한 후 DDoS 공격을 수행하거나 감염 PC들의 정보를 지속적으로 유출하는 형태로 수행된다. 이때, 홈페이지에 삽입되는 악성 URL은 탐지가 어렵도록 Javascript 난독화 기법(obfuscation technique) 등으로 은밀히 삽입된다. 본 논문에서는 웹 소스코드에 은닉된 악성 Javascript URL들에 대한 일괄 점검체계를 제안하며, 구현된 점검체계의 prototype을 활용하여 점검성능에 대한 시험결과를 제시한다.

In smart work environment, a company provides employees a flexible work environment for tele-working using mobile phone or portable devices. On the other hand, such environment are exposed to the risks which the attacker can intrude into computer systems or leak personal information of smart-workers' and gain a company's sensitive information. To reduce these risks, the security administrator needs to analyze the usage patterns of employees and detect abnormal behaviors by monitoring VPN(Virtual Private Network) access log. This paper proposes a decision support system that can notify the status by using visualization and similarity measure through clustering analysis. On average, 88.7% of abnormal event can be detected by this proposed method. With this proposed system, the security administrator can detect abnormal behaviors of the employees and prevent account theft.

최근 가입자 구내의 정보 전달을 위한 LAN 접속장치들의 다양함과 대량생산으로 이에 대한 LAN 접속기준의 제정이 시급한 문제로 대두됨에 따라, LAN 기준에 대한 모범이라고 할 수 있는 ANSI/IEEE 802.3 및 ANSI X3.166의 규정중에서 시장성이 높은 10 Base T, 10 Base 2, 10 Base 5, AUI, FOIRL 및 FDDI 인터페이스 기준을 분석하여 향후 국내의 LAN 접속기준 제정시 활용하고자 한다.

With the introduction of the concept such as QoS, QoE, and MOS for the multimedia services over the high-speed network the user's concern about the degradation in the perceived quality of service for the conventional data service has become a new problem to the Internet service providers. In this work we propose a method to evaluate the subjective QoE such as MOS for the high-speed Internet service, where the round trip time for the data transfer is taken into account as a performance parameter for the experienced delay. We develop a tool to evaluate an MOS that enables us to investigate the behavior of users for diverse delay times for the web access service, via which we analyze the sensitivity of users with regard to MOS as a function of delay.

We usually applied PPP CHAP when the visited ISP subscriber accesses to authentication server in own home ISP network and IP Assignment for remote Internet service. But PPP CHAP doesn't support in case of visited ISP subscriber in GPRS network accesses to authentication sorrel in own home ISP network for wireless Internet service. We suggest solution for this problem with PPP CHAP improvement. For this we propose the modified PPP CHAP message format, PCO Message format at MT, and interworking message and format between GGSN and RADIUS in home ISP network for wireless internet service of mobile ISP subscriber at GPRS network in this paper. We also show authentication results when visited mobile ISP subscriber via PPP CHAP at GPRS network accesses the RADIUS server in home ISP network.
