Development of Travel Time Functions Considering Intersection Delay (교차로 지체를 고려한 통행시간함수 개발)

  • The goals of this study are to develop travel time functions based on intersection delay and to analyze the applicability of the functions to traffic assignment models. The study begins with the premise that the existing assignment models can not effectively account for intersection delay time. In pursuing the goals, this study gives particular attention to dividing the link travel time into link moving time and stopped time at node, making the models based on such variables as the travel speed, volume, geometry, and signal data of signalized intersections in Cheongju, and analyzing the applicability of these models to traffic assignment. There are several major findings. First, the study presents the revised percentage of lanes (considering type of intersection) instead of g/C for calculating intersection delay, which is analyzed to be significant in the paired t-test. Second, the assigned results of applying these models to the Cheongju network in EMME/2 are compared with the data observed from a test car survey in Cheongju. The analyses show that the BPR models do not consider the intersection delay, but the modified uniform delay model and modified Webster model are comparatively well fitted to the observed data. Finally, the assigned results of applying these models are statistically compared with the test car survey data in assigned volume, travel time, and average speed. The results show that the estimates from the divided travel time model are better fitted to observed data than those from the BPR model.

Peak Hour Volume Signal Warrant for T Intersection (첨두시간 교통량에 의한 T형 교차로 신호등 설치기준)

  • 현재 사용되고 있는 신호등 설치기준은 교차로의 형태를 반영하고 있지 않다. 본 논문은 신호 및 비신호 T형 교차로에 대한 현장의 지체도 조사를 바탕으로 첨두시간 교통량을 이용한 T형 교차로의 신호등 설치기준을 개발하였다. 기준설정을 위해 교차로의 평균정지지체 최소화를 평가척도로 사용하였으며 주요 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, T형 교차로의 지체도 모형은 주도로 교통량과 부도로 교통량을 독립변수로 하는 지수함수 형태를 갖는다. 둘째, T형 교차로의 신호등 설치기준은 T형으로 인한 현시의 감소로 MUTCD에서 제시하고 있는 신호등 설치기준과 비교시 타당성 교통량이 높게 나타났다. 셋째, T형 교차로의 신호등 설치를 위한 첨두시 교통량기준 도표를 작성하였으며, 평일의 하루중 주도로(양방향)의 시간당 교통량과 이에 사용하는 부도로의 시간당 교통량의 최대값을 도표에 표시했을 때 접근로 차로수의 조합에 해당하는 기준선의 상위영역에 위치하면 신호등을 설치하는 것이 교차로의 지체도를 최소화시킬수 있다.

The Effect of Parent Education Program Based on Sensory Integration Approach on the Parent's Understanding of Sensory Processing Ability of Children With Developmental Delays (감각통합접근 부모교육이 발달지체 아동의 감각처리능력에 대한 부모의 이해도에 미치는 효과)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of parent education program with sensory integration approach on the parent's understanding of sensory processing ability of their own children with developmental delays. Methods : The period of this study is from March 15, 2015 to May 10, 2015. The participants of this study were thirty of parents who have children with developmental delays. The participants were randomly divided as experimental group (15 parents) and control group (15 parents) and an educational program was provided to those parents in the experimental group. The education program was developed based on sensory integration approach and 1:1 intensive individual counseling education. Short Sensory Profile (SSP) & a specially designed questionnaire were used to evaluate the parent's understanding of sensory processing ability of their children with developmental delays. The effect of between the groups was analyzed using an independent two samples t-test, and the effect of the intervention within a group was measured using the paired t-test. Results : After the intervention of parent education program, the total score of SSP was significantly decreased and the score of the parent questionnaire was significantly increased (p<.05). Conclusion : The results of this study show that parent education program with sensory integration approach is effective to improve the parent's understanding of sensory processing ability of their children with developmental delays. This study can be used as a good resource for therapists who is planning to provide sensory integration treatment for children with disabilities.

Shear Lag in Framed Tube Structures with Multiple Internal Tubes (복수의 내부 튜브를 가진 골조 튜브 구조물의 Shear Lag)

  • A simple numerical modelling technique is proposed for estimating the shear lag effects of framed-tube system with multiple internal tubes. The tube(s)-in-tube structure is analysed by using an analogy approach in which each tube is individually modelled by a beam that can accounts for the flexural and shear deformations, as well as the shear lag effects. The numerical analysis is based on the minimum potential energy principle in conjunction with the variational approach. The shear lag phenomenon of such structures is studied with additional bending stresses. Structural parameters governing the shear lag behaviour in tube(s)-in-tube structures are also investigated through thirty-three numerical examples.

  • 본 논문은 지체장애인들의 컴퓨터 접근성을 향상시키기 위해서 Head Pointing System을 기반으로한 키보드 대체 방법을 제안한다. 먼저 컴퓨터의 접근성을 돕기위해 현재 사용되고있는 Head Pointing System에는 어떤 기능을 대체하고 있는지 간략하게 살펴보고, 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법이 이전에 사용되었던 Head Pointing System, On-Screen Keyboard를 함께 사용하여 문자를 입력하는 방식에 비해 어떤 이점이 있는 확인한다. 또한, Quikwriting 방식을 사용하여 사용자에게 단순하고 직관적인 제스쳐를 요구하도록하여 입력에 대한 부담을 낮추고, 사용자 개인의 제스쳐 특성에 따라 문자를 입력할 수 있도록 하기위해 신경망 알고리즘을 사용하였고 이를통해 Head Pointing System기반 문자입력 방법이 유용함을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • One of the most important hydrological response characteristics is the lag time. It is well known as being under the influence of the morphometric properties of the basin, which could be expressed by catchment shape descriptors. In this paper, the geometric characteristics of an equivalent ellipse proposed by Moussa(2003) is applied for the lag time analysis. The lag time is obtained from the rainfall-runoff observed data by the method of moments suggested by Nash(1960) and the relationships between the basin morphometric properties and the lag time are discussed as applied to 3 catchments in Korea. Additionally, the shapes of equivalent ellipse are examined how they are transformed from upstream area to downstream one. As a result, the relationship between descriptors based on a equivalent ellipse a+b and $a+b+{\epsilon}OM$, and the lag time is shown to be close and the shape of ellipse is presented to approach a circle along the river downwards. Also, the notion of compactness which is used to express the shape of an irregular plan-form is tried to apply.

A Qualitative Research on Library Education and Cultural Programs for Students with Physical Disability (지체장애인의 공공도서관 이용 활성화를 위한 교육 및 문화 프로그램에 대한 질적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide practical support methods of the library education and cultural programs for people with physical disabilities through the qualitative investigation. To collect data, focus group and individual interviews were conducted. Fourteen people with physical disabilities and six parents were interviewed. From the qualitative analysis, three themes and thirteen subthemes were emerged: (1) cognition about library, (2) difficulties of using the library, (3) support methods for activating library use. Finally, discussions, implications and future directions of library education and cultural programs for people with physical disabilities were presented based on the results of the study. We expect that this research can serve as a basis for further effort to develop library education and cultural programs suited for the unique needs of people with physical disabilities.
