Real-Time Implementation of the Navigation Parameter Extraction from the Aerial Image Sequence (항공영상을 이용한 항법변수 추출 알고리듬의 실시간 구현)

  • 본 논문에서는 영상 항법 변수 추출 알고리듬의 실시간 구현에 관해 연구하였다. 영상 항법 변수 추출 알고리듬은 이전 위치를 기준으로 현재 위치를 추정해내는 상대위치 추정 알고리듬과 상대위치 추정에 의해 누적되는 오차를 보정하기 위한 절대위치 보정 알고리듬으로 구성된다. 절대위치 보정 알고리듬은 고해상도 영상과 IRS (Indian Remote Sensing) 위성영상을 기준영상으로 이용하는 방법 및 DEM (Digital Elevation Model) 을 이용하는 방법으로 구성된다. 하이브리드 영상 항법 변수 추출 알고리듬을 실시간으로 구현하기 위해 MVP (Multimedia Video Processor)로 명명된 TMS320C80 DSP (Digital Signal Processor) 칩을 사용하였다. 구현된 시스템은 MVP의 부동 소수점 프로세서인 MP (Master Processor) 를 고정 소수점 프로세서인 PP (Parallel Processor) 를 제어하거나 삼각함수 계산과 같은 부동 소수점 함수를 계산하는데 사용하였고, 대부분의 연산은 PP를 사용하여 수행하였다. 처리시간이 많이 필요한 모듈에 대해서는 고속 알고리듬을 개발하였고, 4개의 PP를 효율적으로 사용하기 위한 영상분할 방법에 대해 제안하였다. 비행체에서 캡코더를 이용해 촬영한 연속 항공 영상과 비행체의 자세정보를 입력으로 실시간 시뮬레이션 하였다. 실험결과는 하이브리드 항법 변수 추출 알고리듬의 실시간 구현이 효과적으로 구현되었음을 나타내고 있다.

  • An antenna gain measurement system using an extrapolation technique is described. The technique is similar to the usual two-antenna method for absolute gain measurement system, but involves the measurement of the received signal as a function of seperation in short distances, and the signal-versus-seperation data is processed in a way that allows an extrapolation of the signal to "infinite" seperation. In this technique it is possible to obtain the near field gain as function of distance by combining the far field gain and a proximity correction factor. The results of gain measurements of standard gain horn antennas and OEG (open ended waveguide) antennas are also presented.

  • This paper presents an integrated method for aircraft position estimation using sequential aerial images. The proposed integrated system for position estimation is composed of two parts: relative position estimation and absolute position estimation. Relative position estimation recursively computes the current position of an aircraft by accumulating relative displacement estimates extracted from two successive aerial images. Simple accumulation of parameter values decreases reliability of the extracted parameter estimates as an aircraft goes on navigating, resulting in large position error. Therefore absolute position estimation is required to compensate for the position error generated in relative position estimation. Absolute position estimation algorithms by image matching or digital elevation model (DEM) matching are presented. In image matching, a robust oriented Hausdorff measure (ROHM) is employed whereas in DEM matching an algorithm using multiple image pairs is used. Computer simulation with four real aerial image sequences shows the effectiveness of the proposed integrated position estimation algorithm.

  • This paper derives conversion formulas from yearly-based absolute rates of decrements to monthly-based rates of decrement due to cause J under fractional age distributions. Next, it suggests conversion formulas from monthly-based absolute rates of decrements to monthly-based rates of decrement due to cause j under fractional age distributions. In addition, it applies the conversion formulas including a dynamic lapse rate model to variable annuities. Some numerical examples are discussed.

Estimation of Average Low Flow Using Base Flow Index for Ungaged Basin (기저유량비를 이용한 미계측 유역의 평균 갈수량 산정)

  • 유량자료는 연속적으로 관측하기가 쉽지 않을 뿐 아니라 모든 관측소에서 매년 적정한 유량자료를 생산하는 것 또한 매우 어려운 실정이다. 이에 따라 미계측 유역에 대한 유량 산정을 위해 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 영국의 "Low Flow Studies report(Institute of Hydrology, 1980)"에서는 갈수량 산정과 관련하여 기저유량비(Base Flow Index, BFI)를 사용하는 것을 추천하였다. 국내에서는 이와 관련한 적용 사례가 없기 때문에 본 연구에서는 BFI를 적용하여 미계측 유역의 갈수량을 산정하고자 하였다. 대상유역은 낙동강 권역의 22개 지점을 대상으로 실시하였으며, 기저유량비 및 평균 갈수량과 유역 및 수문인자들의 상관분석을 수행하였다. 분석을 통하여 기저유량비는 토양군 C와 지하수위를 독립변수로, 평균 갈수량은 기저유량비, 유역면적, 강수량을 독립변수로 선정하여 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 개발한 기저유량비 지역회귀모형의 상대오차는 -26.5%(기계2)~57.2%(구영)의 범위로 분포하였고, 절대오차의 평균은 17.2%로 산정되었다. 평균 갈수량 지역회귀모형은 상대오차가 -38.4%(도천)~184.4%(길안)의 범위에서 분포하고 있으며, 절대오차의 평균은 47.3%이다. 그러나 소토, 기계2, 길안 지점을 제외하면 절대오차는 30.6%이다. 상대오차는 다소 부정적이지만 기존에 개발된 지역회귀모형으로 평균 갈수량을 산정한 결과와 비교하면 상대적으로 양호한 것으로 판단된다. 사용한 자료의 기간이 6년으로 통계적인 결과로 보기에는 다소 미흡한 측면이 있지만, 유역인자로서 BFI가 미계측 유역의 갈수량 특성을 설명할 수 있는 우수한 인자라고 판단하였다.

Techniques of Optimizing the Launching Nose under Conditions of Minimizing the Launching Bending Moment (압출가설시 발생하는 휨모멘트의 최소화 조건을 통한 압출노즈의 최적설계)

  • The behavior of nose-deck system during launch was examined by three dimensionless launching parameters, such as the relative flexural stiffness, the relative nose weight, and the relative nose length. The techniques of optimizing the launching nose were illustrated and equations of relationship between relative nose weight and relative nose length were derived under minimum conditions of the launching negative and positive moment. Equations of maximum positive and negative moment were suggested under the conditions. The optimum design method of the launching nose was proposed in launched continuous girder bridges. It was found that the ideal launching nose was to design that with the relative nose weight of 0.167 and the relative nose length of 0.836 to minimize absolute values of the positive and negative moment during launch.

News Data Analysis Using Acoustic Model Output of Continuous Speech Recognition (연속음성인식의 음향모델 출력을 이용한 뉴스 데이터 분석)

  • In this paper, the acoustic model output of CSR(Continuous Speech Recognition) was used to analyze news data News database used in this experiment was consisted of 2,093 articles. Due to the low efficiency of language model, conventional Korean CSR is not appropriate to the analysis of news data. This problem could be handled successfully by introducing post-processing work of recognition result of acoustic model. The acoustic model more robust than language model in Korean environment. The result of post-processing work was made into KIF(Keyword information file). When threshold of acoustic model's output level was 100, 86.9% of whole target morpheme was included in post-processing result. At the same condition, applying length information based normalization, 81.25% of whole target morpheme was recognized. The purpose of normalization was to compensate long-length morpheme. According to experiment result, 75.13% of whole target morpheme was recognized KIF(314MB) had been produced from original news data(5,040MB). The decrease rate of absolute information met was approximately 93.8%.

  • As the continuous casting process is to product slab with high temperature liquid steel, the main role of strand driven roll is to withdraw slab from mold as operator set up casting speed pattern. The strand driven roll in old cast machine is controlled casting speed only. Due to inaccuracies in drive setting up, varying roll diameters, bulging in the product, withdrawal force was distributed irregularly. As a result, because of horizontal crack in slab comer, high casting speed can't be achieved. In this paper, the correlation between the distribution of withdrawal force and slab quality is investigated and the new control algorithm which can be distributed regularly the withdrawal force of strand driven roll is proposed. The principle of proposed algorithm is not to control motor torque directly but to control motor speed reference according to sharing ratio of withdrawal force which is set up in high level controller. The proposed algorithm implemented in POSCO Kwangyang 1-4 continuous casting plant.

  • The objective of this study is to evaluate an application of stochastic continuous storage function model with ensemble Kalman filter technique. The case study is performed at the upstream basin of Jibo streamflow gauge including Andong and Imha dam. Test period is for the rainy season during 2006 and 2007. Long term runoff analysis is feasible in the case of using deterministic model. Ensemble members for input data and parameters are generated using Monte Carlo simulation for the purpose of applying ensemble Kalman filter technique. The cumulative absolute errors of stochastic model to the deterministic one are improved for the amount of 17.5 %, 18.3 % and more than 40.0 % for Andong dam, Imha dam and Jibo station, respectively. The results indicate that the stochastic model improves the accuracy of the simulated discharge considerably.

  • The paper examines several classes of probability distributions with heavy tails. An (asymptotic) expression for tail probability needs to be known to understand which class a given probability distribution belongs to. It is usually not easy to get expressions for tail probabilities since most absolutely continuous probability distributions are specified by probability density functions and not by distribution functions. The paper proposes a method to obtain asymptotic expressions for tail probabilities using only probability density functions. Some examples are given to illustrate the proposed method.
