Crystallinity and electrical properties of 6H-SiC wafers (6H-SiC wafer의 결정성 및 전기적 특성)

  • H-SiC single crystals were successfully grown by the sublimation method and the optimum growth conditions were established. The grown SiC crystals were about 33 mm in diameter and 11 mm in length. The micropipe density of the polished SiC wafers was 400/$\textrm{cm}^2$, and the planar defect density was 50/$\textrm{cm}^2$. Raman spectroscopy and DCXRD analysis were used to examine the crystallinity of Acheson seeds and the 6H-SiC wafers. As a result, the crystallinity of the 6H-SiC wafers was better than that of Acheson seeds. For examination of the electrical properties of the undopped 6H-SiC wafers Hall measurements were applied. According to the measurements the carrier concentration was estimated to be $3.91{\times}10^{15}/\textrm {cm}^3$ and doping type of the undopped. 6H-SiC wafers was n-type.

  • The flood and environment surveillance network on riverside is a network requiring a way to efficiently manage the information from all kinds of sensors, along with an optical communication device that can deliver high-quality video information at high speed. Since on-site prompt recovery is very important especially for communication problems that occurred due to cut-off or aged network, various researches have been carried out on this. However, because the security against outside hacking or outside intrusion with illegal purposes is very important for environment surveillance network, such as the national backbone network, an efficient network maintenance and repair should be enabled while satisfying security and reliability at the same time. A characteristic of requirement is that when security is improved, the efficiency of maintenance and repair drops as they are conflicting to each other. Therefore, this research proposed a system in order to satisfy the conflicting requirement and improve security, by developing a one-way Bypass TAP and an android-based smartphone app that can enable efficient network maintenance and repair.

Effects of Rice Straw Application on Barley Growth and Grain Yield in Paddy Field (답리작 보리 재배시 볏짚 시용 효과)

  • For the labor-saving cultivation of barley in rice-barley double cropping system in paddy field, a series of expriments on the effect of rice straw application were carried out at the National Yeongnam Agricultural Experiment Station from 1992 to 1993. The affection of phenol compounds released from fresh rice straw could be lessened when seeded under rice straw in the soil and that made emergence rate increase by 11%, compared with that on application on the rice straw. Although utilization of rice straw as an organic material caused the poor growth of barley in early stage, it could be enhanced the culm breaking strength. On this reason, affected by rice straw, grain yield was increased from 8% in common barley and up to 20% in malting barley. The more nitrogen, CaO$_2$2 and SiO$_2$ applied, the more decomposition of rice straw accelerated from 2% to 6.9%. On the application of rice straw as an organic material in malting barely cultivation, the content of crude protein was decreased while 1,000-grain-weight and grain assortment was increased.

Quality Changes and Shelf-life of Cut Cabbage Kimchi under Various Storage Temperatures and Packing Materials (저장온도 및 포장재에 따른 절단배추 김치의 품질변화 및 Shelf-life)

  • To study the shelf-life of cut cabbage kimchi, we examined the several quality characteristics of cabbage kimchi under various storage temperatures and packing materials. The pH of kimchi extracts were decreased to 4.0 in the condition of storage at 8$^{\circ}C$ during 6 days, at 4$^{\circ}C$ during 18days, 0$^{\circ}C$ during 42 days. The increase patterns of the organic acid were reverse to the changes of pH under the all conditions. The contents of reducing sugar were continuously decreased at 8$^{\circ}C$ , but increased gradually at 0$^{\circ}C$ and 4$^{\circ}C$ storage conditions. The contents of vitamine C were decreased at the early storage but increased to optimum ripening stage of pH 4.2-4.4 and after decreased continuously. The total bacterial cell counts of cabbage kimchi were increased suddenly at the early storage and after decreased gradually. And at the higher storage temperature, the more lactic acid bacteria were. On the results of sensory evaluation of cabbage kimchi at marketable shelf-life, sour taste and sour smell were significant under all experimental conditions by Duncan's multiple range test. On the above all results, we concluded that the marketable shelf-life of cut cabbage kimchi were 42 days, 19 days, 6 days at 0$^{\circ}C$, 4$^{\circ}C$, 8$^{\circ}C$ storage condition respectively.

  • Fresh-cut agricultural products provide convenience to consumers. However, quality changes or microbial growth can easily occur due to physical changes such as cutting and peeling etc. during processing. Therefore, efforts have been made to develop a functional packaging for extension of shelf life of fresh-cut agricultural products, food etc., and researches on prolongation of storage period have been actively developed. The shelf life is extended by antimicrobial, far infrared rays, air permeability, anti-fogging, weak current, ethylene gas adsorption or decomposition, gas composition changes such as MA (Modified Atmosphere) or CA (Controlled Atmosphere). The method of extending the shelf life by various complex factors. This paper based on the published literature to extend the shelf life of fresh-cut agricultural products, food etc., The paper has summarized the storage period extension packing method, packaging material for shelf life extension and comprehensive evaluation method.

Development of Infrared Imaging Measurement Device for Internal Red Ginseng Analysis. (홍삼 내부 분석을 위한 적외선 영상 측정기기 개발)

  • 본 연구는 홍삼 등급판정 과정에서 내부 조직 치밀도 분석을 위해 의료 영상 분석 방법을 이용하여 적외선 영상 측정기기를 개발하였다. 기존 홍삼 내부분석방법은 수동으로 암실환경에서 강한 조명을 홍삼에 투과하여 사람 눈으로 직접 판별하는 과정을 거친다. 이러한 기존 검사 과정은 작업 비효율성과 불균일한 검사기준으로 제품 품질 신뢰도 저하의 단점을 가져온다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 본 연구는 적외선 조명환경에서 자동 측정이 가능한 홍삼 내부 측정기기를 개발하였다. 개발된 장치는 홍삼의 빛 투과 특성을 응용한 920nm 파장대역의 적외선 조명기구, 조명 제어회로, 적외선 대역 촬영이 가능한 영상 측정 카메라 장치, $0.9^{\circ}$의 간격으로 $360^{\circ}$ 홍삼 영상취득이 가능한 회전 엑츄에이터로 구성이 된다. 본 연구에서 제안 하는 홍삼 단층 영상분석 방법은, 홍삼을 $0.9^{\circ}$ 간격으로 회전시키어 $360^{\circ}$ 홍삼 내부영상을 취득하여 라돈 변환(Radon transform)을 통해 사이노그램(Sinogram)으로 재구성 하였으며, 역 라돈 변환(Inverse Radon transform)을 통해 단층 영상복원(Back-projection)알고리즘을 구현하였다. 이 결과 홍삼을 절단하지 않고 홍삼 내부 단면영상 획득이 가능하였으며 내공(內空), 내백(內白)의 유무를 판단하고 직경을 파악할 수 있었다. 이를 토대로 등급 판별 공식을 산출하면 신뢰성 있는 홍삼 등급 자동화 측정기기를 개발할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • For underwater steel structure, cut that underwater shaped charge device that combines a spring hose, which is an external device of pressure resistance and flexibility with flexible shaped charge, was invented. As a basic experiment for an optimum condition design, an penetration performance was compared by external device shape. To evaluate the result of an experiment, image analysis was carried out after obtaining the model by using the liquid rubber for the penetrated steel plate. To simulate the penetrating process of shaped charge, the AUTODYN program has been used. As a result of analysis, while the average penetration depth of circular and square shaped external devices were similar, the penetration quality was more uniform in the case of circle. In addition, water infiltration occurred in square case, displacement and strain rate according to the increase of the water pressure were measured high.

Halftone Image Watermarking Based on Iterative Error Minimizing Method (반복적인 에러 최소화 기법을 이용한 하프톤 영상 워터마킹)

  • In this paper, we propose a new watermark algorithm for halftone images using iterative error minimizing method. In the proposed method, watermark bits are hidden at pseudo-random locations within a halftone image. To remove the distortions due to the inserted watermark bits and increase the invisibility of watermark, an iterative error minimizing technique is used. We define the halftoning error is defined as the difference between the original grayscale image and HVS-filtered printed halftone image. Then we iteratively find the pixel pattern with minimum halftoning error and displace the original pixel pattern with it. In order to be robust to geometrical modification like cropping or rotation, we insert the same watermark periodically into halftone images. Experiments using printed and scanned images show that the proposed method is a robust method to the geometrical modification and to hide the large amount of data within a halftone image without noticeable distortion.

  • This study was conducted to develop the corrugated fiberboard box which is suitable to pre-cooling and low temperature distribution of chinese cabbage Consider from a cooling performance viewpoint, the folding type box with 5.4% vent hole ratio was most efficient for fast cooling and even temperature distribution in the packaging box. At the end of storage periods, the compressive strength of the folding type box was less than the bliss type box. However, the compressive strength of the folding type box after storage was higher than required safety compressive strength for long term storage. So the folding type box was considered to have no problems toy practical use. The shelf-life of the chinese cabbage packaged with the developed box was 6∼7 days which was 2∼3 days longer than usual packaging.

Utilization of Domestic Natual Quartz as Elecrtic Resonators; Feasibility Study (한국산 천연수품을 이용한 수품공진자의 생산가능성에 관한 연구)

  • 한국산 천연수정은 보석장식용으로서는 그 품질이 이미 알려져 있으나 수정진동자로서의 특성에 관해서는 아직 보고된 바가 없다. 본 연구는 특히 경상도일대에서 채굴되고 있는 천연수정을 채집, 선별, 가공하여 그 수정진동자로서의 사용가능성을 실험을 통하여 검토한 것이다. 필자들은 채굴현장 근처에서 채집한 원석을 특별히 고안제작된 검사경을 이용하여 분석선별하였으며 X-ray를 사용하여 AT-cut로 orientation 한후 시판을 절단하였다. 다음 적용하여 전기적, 광학적 쌍수상태를 검토하고 다시 선별하였다 Dimensioning은 5MHz를 목표로 하였는데 연잠제를 사용하여 5MHz의 조도까지 연마하고 전극으로서 표준형의 은막을 부착하여 시판을 완성하였다. 시판을 대한 측정결과는 모든 등가정수가 대표적인 수입수정판의 것과 대등하였으며 특히 Q는 모두 105를 넘었다. 온도특성도 AT-cut의 이론치와 대차가 없었으며 -20℃-+100℃ 범위에서 최대 20PPM 이내의 편차를 보였다. 즉, 한국산 천연수정은 적절히 선별, 가공 한다면 부유한 수정진동자의 원재로서 사용할수 있음이 증명되었다. Samples of domestic natural quartz were collected and screened optically and chemically, and, after weeding out portions unfit for electrical resonator, were cut into AT-cut wafers, which in turn were dimensioned, trimmed and lapped into 5MHz resonator units. The results of measurements obtained from the specimens indicated excellent electrical characteristics of domestic natural quartz with the average Q quotient of 10s or higher. Temperature characteristics also showed typical AT-cut corves with the frequency deviation of 20PPM at maximum throughout the range of -20 to 100℃. The experiment on the initial batch of samples amply indicates the excellent electrical quality of domestic natural quartz as quartz resonator units.
