  • ${\blacksquare}$ 목적 * 우리나라 주력산업분야(자동차, 조선, 항공, 기계, 로봇, 반도체 등)에 절단, 가공, 용접, 리소그라피, 마킹, 열처리, 합성, 표면처리 등의 방식으로 활용되고, 융 복합산업(의료, 에너지, 영상, 군수, 신소재, 센서)에 광원으로 응용되는 산업용 고출력 레이저의 산업 생태계 분석을 통하여 기존 산업의 고부가화와 신산업의 경쟁력을 견인 ${\blacksquare}$ 주요현황 * (시장현황) 2011년부터 2014년까지 고출력 레이저의 시장규모는 4,452백만불(5조 463억원)에서 5,255백만불(5조 9,565억원)으로 연평균 5.7% 성장 전망 * (제품기술동향) 3세대 레이저인 광섬유 레이저와 고출력 다이오드 레이저, DPSS 레이저 등이 기술혁신을 거듭하면서 1, 2세대 레이저를 대체해 가면서 높은 수준의 성장을 거듭할 것으로 전망. 산업용레이저의 주요선진국 대비 국내 기술수준은 전체적으로 44.5%정도로 취약 * (기업동향) Coherent, Trumpf, Cymer, IPG Photonics, Rofin-Sinar 5개사가 전체시장의 55%이상을 점유하고 있으며 대부분 수직계열화를 통해 경쟁력 확보. 최근 중국의 Han's 사가 자국정부의 지원을 통해 급 부상 ${\blacksquare}$ 시사점 * 산업용 레이저를 이용한 응용기술 부분 투자가 과거에는 단기 경제적 성취는 이로웠으나, 현재에 이르러 레이저 혹은 레이저 시스템이 필요할 때마다 외국에서 관련 핵심부품, 모듈 등을 수입해야하는 실정에 이르렀음. 향후 레이저 국산화를 위한 노력과 함께 후방 소재.부품의 전략적 투자를 통해 산업의 건강한 선순환생태 환경을 조성하여 산업 경쟁력을 갖추어야 함.

  • In this paper, we present a frequency weighted model reduction using LMIs for minimizing the H$\infty$ weighted model error compared with the methods of frequency weighted balanced truncation and frequency weighted Hankel norm approximation. The proposed algorithm, its form is equal to the sufficient condition of performance preserving controller approximation, is based on an iterative two-step LMI scheme induced from bound real lemma. So, it can be applied to the problem of the performance preserving controller approximation. The controller reduction is useful in a practical control design and ensures its easy implementation and high reliability The validity of the proposed algorithm is shown through numerical examples. Additionaly, we extend the proposed algorithm to performance preserving controller approximation by applying to the HIMAT(highly maneuverable aircraft technology) system.

  • The molybdenum cup and molybdenum pin, which are the main materials of the molybdenum electrode used for the LCD BLU CCFL electrode, have not been developed in Japan and all of them are imported and used from Japan, is giving a competitive burden. In this research, to develop the manufacturing technology of molybdenum pin used for CCFL electrode of LCD BLU, development of linear processing technology, development of molybdenum wire surface treatment technology, development of wire cutting technology, production of molybdenum pin, design and fabrication of JIG and Fixture for inspection, molybdenum pin prototyping and analysis, and development of 100% molybdenum pin inspection technology. Shift and Noise Tolerance Encryption System using a Phase-Based Virtual Image (가상위상영상을 이용한 잡음 및 변이에 강한 암호화 시스템)

  • In this paper, we propose an improved image encryption and the shift-tolerance method in the Fourier space using a virtual phase image. The encrypted image is obtained by the Fourier transform of the product of a phase-encoded virtual image, not an original image, and a random phase image. Therefore, even if unauthorized users analyze the encrypted image, we can prevent the possibility of counterfeiting from unauthorized people using virtual image which dose not contain any information from the original image. The decryption technique is simply performed by inverse Fourier transform of the interference pattern between the encrypted image and the Fourier decrypting key, made of proposed phase assignment rule, in frequency domain. We demonstrate the robustness to noise, to data loss and shift of the encrypted image or the Fourier decryption key in the proposed technique.

  • This paper proposes a routing scheme for multi-hop LEO satellite networks with inter-satellite links aiming for reducing the number of link handovers while keeping the efficient use of network resource. The proposed routing scheme controls the link handovers by taking account of the deterministic LEO satellite system dynamics, geographical location of a ground terminal and statistic information of call duration. The performance of the proposed routing scheme has been evaluated and compared with previous routing schemes in terms of average number of link handovers during a call, the call blocking and dropping probability, and the network utilization.

  • In conventional cutting system of Heat-Shrink-Tube, workers operate cutting system after considering about length and quantity of heat-shrink-tube. So, not only work time and production cost is increased but also material is wasted because the data that workers have to consider is so much. In this paper, an effective cutting system of heat-shrink-tube was developed to reduce production cost, work time and waste of material. The cutting system consists of a supervisory computer installed inside a control room, a on-site computer installed on the work area, and a PLC system. In the developed system, a supervisory computer send work order to the on-site computer using LAN and the on-site computer operates the cutting system of the heatshrink-tube after it makes an array production order. Also, the on-site computer reports information to the supervisory computer when an accident happened.

  • This paper presents a high performance CORDIC circuit based on redundant numbers yielding a minimal number of iteration stages. The minimal number of iteration stages reflects the iteration number yielding a smaller computation error than the truncation error. The minimal number of iterations is found n-4 for $n\geq16$, where n is the number of input angle bits. The CORDIC circuit is based on a redundant number system with a constant scale factor The circuit performs sine and cosine calculations with a delay of {5 (n-4)+ 2[$log_{2}n$]}$\DeltaT$.

Incorporating Fuzzy Inference into Watermarking in the Transform Domain (변환영역에서의 퍼지추론을 적용한 워터마킹)

  • In this paper, the decision method of optimal sub-band which is supposed to embedded watermark incorporating fuzzy inference into transform-based watermarking is proposed. After performing the DCT, maximum variation of human visual properties, such as text degree, contrast sensitivity function is calculated, and by using these, membership function is generated. After embedding the watermark to the selected bands obtained from fuzzy inference, performance of imperceptibility and robustness are evaluated. In order to testify the proposed scheme, such attacks as JPEG, filtering, cropping are utilized. and in addition, by using an AWGN channel of OFDM/QPSK system, PSNR as well as correlation are calculated, and finally evaluated the performance.

  • Pipe-cutting machines have been used in many fields. Recently, an automatic pipe-cutting machine that uses magnet has born developed. In this paper, a magnetic-type automatic pipe-cutting machine that attaches itself and performs unmanned cutting process is proposed. It is designed that there is a room at the bottom of its body to contain a magnet. And it uses magnetic force between the magnet and the pipe surface to prevent slip and to attach the machine to the pipe against gravity. Also the magnetic force is adjustable by changing the gap between the magnet and the pipe. This machine is, however, necessary to control cutting velocity for the elevation of work efficiency and the adjustable faculties. During pipe cutting process, the gravity acting on the pipe-cutting machine widely varies. That is, the cutting machine gets fast when moving from the top to the bottom of the pipe and slow when moving from the bottom to the top. Actually the system is kind of a non-linear system where the gravity is function of climbing angle of the cutting machine along the pipe. Especially jerking motion is critical. Therefore, authors design the non-linear controller that estimates the current position of the machine along the pipe and compensates the effect of gravity in this paper. It receives the feed back signal from the encoder.

Development of a Gripper and a Cutter for the Automatic Harvest of Green Perilla Leaves (식용 들깻잎 수확 자동화 시스템의 그리퍼 및 절단 컷터 개발)

  • The objectives of this study were to develop a harvesting gripper for perilla leaves and test its performance, which was a partial work of the automated perilla leaves harvesting system development. The results of this study could be summarized as the followings: The shear forces for harvesting the perilla were measured. The measured results showed that the average shear force required was 12.13N for cutting the petioles attached to the perilla stalks, and the maximum of 17.42N. The inner diameter of air cylinder used was 6mm and the air pressure was maintained as 0.7㎫ during the tests. The time required for cutting perilla leaves could be adjusted by the control program and cutting operation could be done within 1- 10 seconds. The performance tests were conducted to harvest the perilla leaves by the gripper developed. The average success rates of cutting were 72.2% for the first test, 78.5% for the second, and 74.2% for the last. The perilla leaves were not damaged by the gripper The whole system operation could be finished within three seconds except the delay time for dropping harvested leaves.
