The Transmission of Foreign Disturbances into a Small Country (해외경제교란이 소국경제에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine the transmission of domestic and foreign real and monetary disturbances into a small country with heavy imports of intermediate goods, and to analyze how the wage indexation in a small country affects the transmission of foreign disturbances into a small country. We consider the two countries, a small country and the rest of the world, two goods, and rational expectations world model under flexible exchange rate system with perfect capital mobility. We find out that foreign disturbances are transmitted into a small country through the price channel, the foreign output multiplier channel, and the nominal interest rate channel, and the foreign real balance channel. We have conducted an empirical investigation by using the Korean data for a small country and the U.S. data for a large country to see how real and monetary disturbances originating from the US affects the Korean economy with wage indexation.

  • 급격한 전파를 이용하는 기기의 다양화와 대중화로 인해 많은 전파 관련 보안 문제들이 일어나고 있다. 전파와 생활에서의 안전은 매우 밀접한데 전파의 방해와 교란은 단순 생활의 불편뿐 아니라 신체의 직접적인 피해를 입힐 수도 있기 때문에 전파보호는 매우 중요한 과제이다. 본 내용에서는 그 대안으로 본문의 전파 교란과 교섭을 막기 위한 방안으로 생체정보인 지문을 이용한 암호화된 토큰을만들어 토큰링을 통한 정보의 수신여부를 결정 하여 인증 강도, 호출자의 정보 등이 포함된 동적 보안 속성을 가진 수평 전파를 전송하고 java직렬화와 직렬화 해제 기능을 이용하여 토큰의 고유성을 확인수평전파를 송 수신 하여 해당 문제점을 해결 하고자 제안하였다.

  • As the second step of the real time monitoring system of the solar radio disturbance, we constructed a 2.8 GHz radio receiver with 500 MHz bandwith. Using the control and observing system (Yoon et al. 2004), we observed the Sun, and found some frequencies, which disturb the Solar radio flux to be observed. DMB and aiport control frequencies are identified as responsible for this disturbance. As well as the testing the receiver, the measurment of the radio environment at 2.8 GHz with 500 MHz bandwith are carried out around Chungbuk National University. In fact, the radio power of the two frequencies, 2.649 GHz and 2.874 GHz is so high that we can not observe the Solar radio signal at 2.8 GHz. We report some results of this measurment and suggest the method to overcome this problem. We conclude also that the frequecies, which are important for the astronomy, should be protected in the future.

  • When jamming signal is received, there would be malfunctions in GPS-based precise location systems. Especially, in aviation fields, these malfunctions may lead to more serious damages. Naturally, there are some research results about the prevention or location method for one jammer, but it is hard to identify and obtain measurements when multiple and various type signals are received. Therefore, we propose a method of identification and measurements acquisition algorithm in order to localize the multiple jammers which transmit CW, DSSS and SCW type signals. Also, a computer simulation is carried out so as to validate the feasibility of the proposed method by using MATLAB. From the simulation results, it is confirmed that the proposed method successfully identified the signal type and acquired the measurements of CW, DSSS and SCW type signals.

  • When an optical pulse is propagated through the atmosphere space, it is attenuated and broadened by the effect of atmospheric turbulence. This pulse broadening is occurred by the fluctuation in the arrival time of pulse at an optical receiver. In digital optical communication, the attenuation is important factor but the pulse broadening is more important. In this paper, thus, we will find the broadening of pulse propagated through the turbulent atmosphere, present it as the function of the structure constant for the refractive index fluctuation, and simulate it to the turbulent strength and the transmission length.

  • Artificial intelligence is closely linked to our real lives, leading innovation in various fields. Especially, as a means of transportation possessing artificial intelligence, autonomous unmanned vehicles are actively researched and are expected to be put into practical use soon. Autonomous cars and autonomous unmanned aerial vehicles are required to equip accurate navigation system so that they can find out their present position and move to their destination. At present, the navigation of transportation that we operate is mostly dependent on GPS. However, GPS is vulnerable to external intereference. In fact, since 2010, North Korea has jammed GPS several times, causing serious disruptions to mobile communications and aircraft operations. Therefore, in order to ensure safety in the operation of the autonomous unmanned vehicles and to prevent serious accidents caused by the intereference, rapid situation judgment and countermeasure are required. In this paper, based on big data and machine learning technology, we propose a countermeasure system for GPS interference that supports decision making by applying John Boyd's OODA loop cycle (detection - direction setting - determination - action).

  • As a dependency on Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) becomes increase in various applications, its reliability has been very important. However, in South Korea, Global Positioning System (GPS) jamming incident happened four times since 2010. GNSS signal is so weak that it is highly susceptible to all types of the jamming. GNSS jamming can cause serious damage in the safety-critical applications based on the GNSS. In this paper, we present the GNSS jamming signal propagation prediction simulator based on ITU-R P.1546 model. This simulator is developed for preventing or reducing the damage from the GNSS jamming attack by predicting the jamming propagation strength based on the geographical information in Korean peninsula.

  • Due to diversification and popularization of devices that use rapid transmission, there are many security issues related to radio waves. As the disturbance and interference of the radio wave can cause a direct inconvenience to a life, it is a very important issue. In this paper, as a means to prevent radio disturbance and interference, the projected image of the reference grid and the deformed grid is obtained by measuring the projected $moir{\acute{e}}$ using the white light source, projecting grid and the light source, and a $moir{\acute{e}}$ pattern is generated with an image processing algorithm by applying a phase diagram algorithm, and generated $moir{\acute{e}}$ pattern phase diagram creates a three-dimensional shape. By making an encrypted token using this measured face shape, the transmission of the information through token ring is determined in order to transmit the horizontal transmission having the dynamic security characteristics which includes authentication strength and caller information, etc. And by confirming the uniqueness of the token and by sending and receiving the horizontal transmission using java serialization and deserialization function, a problem solving method is suggested.
