Comprehension of a News Story on SNS in Comparison to the Traditional Newspaper (소셜미디어에서의 뉴스 정보 수용과 전통 미디어 뉴스 읽기의 비교 카카오톡의 대화와 신문 비교를 중심으로)

  • This study investigated news comprehension via the social media by comparing the reading of a news story on the news paper. A news story on the social media was suggested to present information in a conversational form, which differs from a traditional reporting style. To compare the different forms of news information presentation, two conditions were created: in a control condition, a news story was written in a traditional reporting form. In the experimental condition, the same news story was constructed in a conversational form. Participants were assigned randomly in one of two conditions. They read the news story and afterwards, they were asked to recall firstly, the core idea of the news story, secondly the whole news story, and finally to answer to the 10 questions that assessed how well they learned from the news story. Participants' responses were content-analyzed and produced six variables, the extent to recall the core idea, the extent to recall the whole story, the extent to recall wrong information, the extent to recall additional information, the extent to recall causally related contents in general, and finally the extent to recall causally related contents in story-specific. Analyses on the six variables revealed that the group in the news paper condition recalled more core idea, the whole story, and additional information than the group in the social media. But the news paper condition recalled less of wrong information than the group in the social media condition. Additionally, the news paper condition learned more than the group in the social media. Regarding the recall of causally related contents, the general causal relationships were recalled more in the group in the social media condition but the story specific causal relationships were recalled more in the group in the news paper condition. The findings seemingly indicated that a traditional news reporting contributes to news story comprehension more than the conversational form. Authors however added discussions and advised that the findings needed to be read under caution.

The Effects of Computer-Based Cognitive Rehabilitation and Traditional Cognitive Training on the Working Memory and Executive Function in Patients with Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (전산화 인지재활과 전통적 인지훈련이 경도 외상성 뇌손상 환자의 작업기억과 실행기능에 미치는 영향)

  • The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of computer-based cognitive rehabilitation and traditional cognitive training on the working memory and executive function of patients with mild traumatic brain injury. The sample consisted of 20 patients with mild traumatic brain injury who had received rehabilitation treatment in a rehabilitation unit. The subjects were assigned to either the experimental (n = 10) or control group (n = 10). The experimental group received computer-based cognitive rehabilitation and traditional cognitive training for 60 minutes, whereas the control group received only traditional cognitive training for 60 minutes. Both the groups received their respective interventions for 60 minutes a day and 5 times per week across a period of 4 weeks. Working memory and executive function were assessed using the digit span test (forward and backward), visual memory 1 and 2 of the Motor-free Visual Perception Test-3, trail making test, and Stroop test (A and B) both before and after the intervention. The experimental group showed a significantly greater improvement in visual memory and performance on the Stroop test A than the control group. These findings suggest that computer-based cognitive rehabilitation and traditional cognitive training are more effective in promoting positive changes in the working memory and executive function of individuals with mild traumatic brain injury than traditional cognitive training.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of memory retention of mathematical concepts in multiplication in the inquiry-based pantomime instructions. Three months later after the pre-test, a comparison was made between traditional class (TC) and class with the inquiry-based pantomime (IP) approach in terms of students retention of mathematical understandings. Results of the study indicated that the If instructions promoted effective long-term retention of knowledge. We concluded that instructional strategies that promoted active engagement in learning using life examples and drawings produced effective long-term retention of knowledge.

  • 본 논문은 chaos이론을 우리나라의 증권시장에 적용하여 실증적으로 자기닮음, 장기기억, 반복형태와 기간주기를 파악하는데 그 목적 이 있다. chaos를 재무관리 분야나 경제학분야에 적용한 경우가 희소하여 이에 대한 천착은 어려운 실정이다. 그러나 chaos의 방법론을 재무관리 분야에 직접적으로 채택 적용하지는 않았으나, 그 대신 전통적인 시계열 분석을 비롯한 전통적인 실증분석을 사용한 많은 연구에서 chaos적 요소가 발견된 경우가 많다. 다만 이 연구들에서 발견된 것들을 chaos적 관점에서 이해하거나 파악하지 않고 전통적인 틀 속에서 해석하고 설명하려고 시도하고, 나아가 그와 같은 현상이 발견되었으므로 전통적인 틀속에서 새로운 방법을 개발하여 이 현상을 설명하거나 해소하려는 노력이 경주되어 왔으며 또한 계속되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 이러한 발견들을 chaos적 관점에서 해석해 보고자 한다.

Exploring Korean Adults' Long-Term Memory of School Science Education (학교 과학교육에 대한 한국 성인의 장기기억에 대한 탐색)

  • 본 연구는 우리 나라의 성인들이 자신의 초중등 학교 시절 경험하였던 학교 과학교육에 대해 어떤 종류의 즐거운 혹은 괴로운 기억들을 현재까지 갖고 있는가를 탐색하였다. 성인들은 오래 전 경험하였던 매우 인상적인 활동이나 장면들을 통해 학교 과학교육을 기억할 것이고, 이러한 기억은 그들의 학교 과학교육에 대한 전반적인 태도에 결정적인 역할을 할 것이다. 따라서 성인들의 학교 과학교육에 대한 이러한 기억들을 살펴보면, 학교 과학교육의 특징을 이해하고 장기적으로 학교 과학교육을 보다 즐거운 경험의 장으로 만드는 데 도움이 될 것이다. 본 연구는 소규모의 설문 조사를 통해 이루어졌으며, 설문 대상은 대구지역의 30-50대 성인 88명이었다. 설문은 현재 과학과 관련된 특정한 직업을 갖고 있지 않은 사람을 대상으로 하였으며, 설문에서 응답자들은 자신들의 초중등 학교 과학교육을 받으면서 가장 즐거웠던 기억과 가장 괴로웠던 기억이 구체적으로 무엇이며 이러한 경험은 초중고 어느 때이었는가를 응답하였다. 성인들이 가장 즐거웠던 기억으로 지적한 것은 실험 실습 활동(65.9%), 야외학습 활동(19.3%) 등으로 전통적인 교실수업 이외의 활동이 약 86%로 나타났다. 그리고 효과적인 교실수업, 교사의 인성적 특징, 과학전람회 참가 등의 경험을 언급한 경우도 부분적으로 있었다. 성인들이 가장 괴로웠던 기억으로 지적한 것은 따분한 교실수업(51.1%), 실험 실습 활동의 부정적인 측면(28.4%) 등으로 나타났으며, 부분적으로 과다한 숙제, 교사의 인성적 특징, 야외학습 활동, 과학수업의 부재 등을 지적한 경우도 있었다. 또한 전체적으로 즐거웠던 기억은 국민학교 시절의 경험에서(56.8%), 반면 괴로웠던 기억은 고등학교 시절의 경험에서(44.3%) 많이 나타났다. 특히, "개구리 해부 실험" 의 경우, 7명이 가장 즐거웠던 기억으로 8명은 가장 괴로웠던 기억으로 언급하여 매우 상반된 견해를 나타냈다. 따라서 동일한 활동일지라도 학생들에게는 매우 상반된 경험으로 작용하게 되며, 이 경우 생명체에 대한 과학실험의 윤리적 문제와 이에 대한 갈등을 분명하게 드러냈다.

The effect of computer based cognitive rehabilitation program on the improvement of generative naming in the elderly with mild dementia: preliminary study (한국형 전산화 인지재활프로그램이 초기 치매노인의 생성 이름대기 수행에 미치는 효과에 관한 예비연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of computer based cognitive rehabilitation program on the generative naming. Twenty - one patients were assigned to the CoTras program and eight were treated with traditional face - to - face language rehabilitation such as paper and table activities. The experimental group and the control group performed sequential language recall memory training, association memory recall training, language categorization memory training, and language integrated memory training for 12 weeks. The Welch's robust ANCOVA showed significant differences in mean fluency and MMSE-K changes (p<0.05). On the other hand, phonemic fluency increased significantly after 12 weeks of treatment compared to baseline in both experimental and control groups, but there was no statistically significant difference between treatment groups. The results of this study suggest that the computer based cognitive rehabilitation program may be more effective in improving the semantic fluency than the conventional cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation.

Research on the Criteria of Remembrance Heritage Registered as World Heritage (세계유산으로 등재된 기억유산의 등재기준에 관한 연구)

  • This research sought to examine the strategies of cultural heritage proving the negative history to be registered as world heritage, among the World Heritages registered in UNESCO. Therefore, to comprehend "negative history"and the heritages with "instructive value," the new term of "Remembrance Heritage"was suggested, and such cases of world heritage were analyzed. Especially by analyzing the criteria of being registered by focusing on the cases of similar World Heritages with similar historical background or form as Korean DMZ, the criteria of OUV that may be applied when Korean DMZ is promoted to be registered as World Heritage. The research results may be summarized as the following. First of all, Remembrance Heritage is a place in which events of universal significance have occurred, rather than the historical, artistic, landscape, and scholastic value of the heritage itself, and was evaluated as architecture, landscape, or place in which the events or historical steps could be verified through architectural, landscape, archaeological or technical means. Secondly, Remembrance Heritage was often applied to be registered with the criterion (vi), and criterion (iii) or criterion (iv). Thirdly, in case of the Korean DMZ, application of criterion (iv) as heritage proving the age of cold war and criterion (vi) as symbolic value of peace may be possible.

  • This study aims to investigate the relations between the components of memorable tourism experience(MTE) and satisfaction, as well as loyalty. Research method and results of this study are as follows. Using the advance research of memorable tourism experience theory, the measurement scales were developed for the survey. Data were collected from the major cities in Dajeon, Korea between Jun. 1~Jul, 10, 2016. Of the 295 surveys collected, the researchers retained 274 usable responses. Data were used to examine the relations among characteristics of memorable tourism experience, satisfaction, and loyalty. The results indicated that the components of memorable tourism experience comprise nine factors. Moreover, part of the factors revealed to have significant positive effects on the satisfaction and loyalty. The results of this study provide implications for determining how tourism operators should prioritize their business resources in developing tourism programs.

In this paper, a new appreciation of fusion of aesthetic elements and digital technology, making the point cloud in the form of video. And this holographic film projection of the spectator, and gestures to interact with the video content is presented. A Process of making contents is intent planning, content creation, content production point cloud in the form of image, 3D gestures for interaction design process, go through the process of holographic film projection. Visual and experiential content of memory recall process takes place in the consciousness of the people expressed. Complete the process of memory recall, uncertain memories, memories materialized, recalled. Uncertain remember the vague shapes of the point cloud in the form of an image represented by the image. As embodied memories through the act of interaction to manipulate images recall is complete.

  • This dissertation is considered a historic generation that Chinese film $6^{th}$ director remembers through their life. Also it is figured out historic anguish and hurt how it was remembered and appeared in film. They have made actual films through their efforts which are different from the conventional generation. In addition, between memory and oblivion the time's signification in the history is showed how what way can be represented. It was presented the time's anguish through memory's metaphor in Chinese film $6^{th}$ works. Also, it was shown the existence's reality from dream was losing as memory was hiding between desire and despair. Additionally, the self of daily was expressed to unconcernedly accept reality, and its against the unchangeable world's eye and memory. The $6^{th}'s$ films' desire was expressed passive appearance to accept reality with losing dream in these three things; cannot be reality in the process to figure out own natural character, and appearance to keep traditional character, finally gradually changing reality. When $6^{th}$ directors analysis the history as memory, social repression follows family's repression, family's repression brings personal repression, and then repression changes to desire, finally the life as a reaction could be maintained. In conclusion, personal desire was covered for fantasy, and the overcoming figure was represented. Moreover, Chinese face that $6^{th}$ directors have memorized was presented through these sentiments.
