  • A CFD analysis of helicopter flowfield in forward flight is considered as non-trivial issue because of the complexity of vorticity-dominated flowfield. In this work, a study on the selection of the proper location for the installation of the Pitot probe is conducted using a CFD code which can deal with the interaction of rotor blade vortex and body. To describe the flow patterns for rotating rotor blades and body, the sliding mesh scheme is utilized. Pressure distributions and flow patterns are also analyzed to identify regions free from the interaction of body and wake induced from rotor blades.

Short Term Sensor's Drift Analysis and Compensation Using Internal Normalization (내부 최적화를 이용한 화학 센서의 단기 드리프트 분석 및 보정)

  • One of the main problems when working the chemical sensor is the lack of repeatability and reproducibility of the sensor response. If the problem is not properly taken into consideration, the stability and reliability of the system using chemical sensors would be decreased. In this paper we analyzed the sensor's drift of short term and proposed a compensation method for reducing the effects of the drift in order to improve the stability and the reliability of the chemical sensor. The sensor drift was analyzed by a trend line graph and CV(coefficient of variation) was used to quantify. And we compensated for the drift by using the internal normalization. As a result it was found that the value of CV was decreased after compensation.

Analysis of the Effects of Scrambled Crosswalk Installation Depending on the Types of Intersections Using VISSIM (교차로 유형별 대각선횡단보도 설치효과 분석 (차량소통측면))

  • PURPOSES : In this study, the effects of installation of diagonal crosswalks on traffic flow depending on the types of intersections are analyzed. METHODS : Scrambled crosswalks have advantages in the traffic safety. Therefore, a comparative analysis of the overall average delay before and after installation of the scrambled crosswalk was conducted using VISSIM. RESULTS : The overall average delay for the scrambled crosswalk decreased when the traffic volume ratio of the major to the minor street is 1: 6 in 2-by-1 and 3-by-1 types of intersections. The scrambled crosswalk improved efficiency of traffic operation in intersections: higher traffic volume for a major street, lower traffic volume for a minor street, and longer cross-distance for a major street. CONCLUSIONS:This study can be used to determine when a scrambled crosswalk should be installed to improve operational efficiency.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the vibration and sound generation characteristics of the sandwich panel. Two thick panels were assumed to be separated by a compliant viscoelastic core. The transverse vibration induced by an external impact was analyzed using the Rayleigh-Ritz method. For applying arbitrary boundary condition of the panels, the edges were assumed to be supported by the translational and rotational springs. The beam functions were used as the trial functions. The effect of the boundary condition and viscoelastic core on the resulting vibration characteristics was investigated. The radiated sound power was analyzed using the proposed numerical model and the Rayleigh integral. The dynamic properties of the core and the mass-stiffness-mass resonance frequency had significant influence on the impact sound.

The Analysis of Perceptual Levels For Floor Impact Noises in Apartments (공동주택에서의 바닥충격음 인지도 분석)

  • The floor impact noise in apartment buildings has been known as the most sensitively recognized environmental noise. Therefore. inhabitants perceptual evaluation of floor impact noises was investigated by a questionnaire survey. It was found that the respondents perceive the floor impact noises from the upper nor as a constant noise level. However, if there is any child on the upper floor. the respondents felt Its noise as a harshly grating level. It was also found that the larger the respondents house is. the higher their wanted level of noise isolation is. Moreover, it was revealed that the main source of the floor impact noise from the upper floor is a child at the age from six to seven. The results could be used as fundamental data for the research on impact sources and new regulations that fit to Korean perceptual aspects and characteristics.

An Analysis of Safety Improvement Effects on Roundabouts (회전교차로 도입에 따른 교통안전성 향상 효과분석)

  • PURPOSES : This study dealt with traffic accidents occurring within roundabouts. The objective of this study was to analyze safety effect by introduction of roundabouts. METHODS : In pursuing the above, traffic accident data on roundabouts are collected and compared. For the analysis, collected data were separated as all intersection points, turning lane accident, approach lane accident by geometric design. RESULTS : Through the study results, it was found that the total accidents decreased by 55 accidents/2 year with safety effect of roundabouts. Also the result shows that accidents by point of two-lane roundabout at turning lane(0.26) and approach lane(0.27) is risky than total accidents by point(0.09). Moreover, accidents by point shows high value as diameter of a roundabout is bigger. CONCLUSIONS : When a roundabout is introduced at the intersections there are safety effects by reduction of traffic accidents.

  • 본 논문에서는 태양광발전의 3상 인버터의 동작특성을 해석하기 위하여, d-q좌표변환을 통하여 상태방정식을 유도하고, 출력제어를 위한 PI제어기를 갖은 전류제어 알고리즘과 인버터 설계에 대한 Sinusoidal PWM방식의 이론적 알고리즘 제시하였다. 이를 바탕으로 배전계통의 상용소프트웨어인 PSCAD/EMTDC를 이용하여 태양광발전의 모델링을 수행하였다. 그리고 시뮬레이션 결과와 이론적인 수치 해석과의 비교, 분석을 통하여 본 연구에서 제시한 모델링의 유효성을 확인하였다.

  • 멀티미디어의 발전이 가속화 되어가고 실생활에서의 적용범위가 넓어 질 수록 사람의 신체에 의한 개인 식별 기술의 필요성이 높아지고 있다. 이미 상용화되어 널리 사용되는 지문인식이나 홍채인식 등의 생체 인식분야 이외에 사람의 얼굴을 이용한 인식이나 인증분야는 다른 생체 인식에 비해 더 많은 필요성과 발전 가능성을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 CCD로 입력된 얼굴 영상을 특징추출이 가능한 개체단위로 분할한 후 각 개체의 비율적인 특징인 거리와 각도를 계산하고 각 개체단위의 유사도 비교를 통해 유사성을 확인함으로써 사람 얼굴을 인지하는 방법을 제안한다. 실험에 의한 분석결과 성능향상에 대한 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다.

비육돈의 교배조합이 부분육의 수율과 육질에 미치는 영향

  • 비육돈 생산에 있어 교배조합이 부분육수율과 육질에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보고자 YLB, YLD 및 BD품종을 이용하여 조사하였다. 부분육의 경우 YLD 및 BD이 YLB에 비해 높은 삼겹살, 목심 수율을 나타내었고, 전체 정육의 수율도 높았다. 육질 측정 결과, YLB, YLD에 비해 BD에서 높은 pH 및 낮은 명도(L*)값을 보였으며, 지방산 분석 결과, 포화지방산 함량은 YLD 품종에서 높게 나타났으며, 불포화지방산은 BD 품종에서 높은 것으로 나타났다.

  • Recently a number of social surveys on community response to environmental noises have been conducted. Since standardized noise annoyance scales were needed to compare the results from various areas, ICBEN(International Commission on Biological of Noise) Team 6 planned a international joint study and constructed comparable standardized noise annoyance scales using the same method. In Korea the survey was conducted in four areas such as Seoul, Taejon, Taegu and Kwangju. About 100 subjects participated in each area approximately. The 21 adverbs were first in the early survey, and five verbal annoyance modifiers were finally constructed as follows;. 1 (Jeonhyo), 2 (Jokm), 3 (Bikyojerk), 4 (Ajoo), 5 (Umcheongnage)
