전진익 소형기의 전산유동해석

  • Flow computations around forward sweep wing small aircraft have been conducted in this study. The main-wing of the forward-wing small aircraft is composed of two planforms: the inboard wing section with backward sweep angle which is known as strake and the outboard wing section with forward sweep angle. The geometrical discontinuity or kink generated by the combination of these two different planforms requires detailed flow analysis around wing. Four different solvers were used to calculate aerodynamic data and the accuracy of each method is examined. For the convenience of grid generation over the aircraft geometry, the overset grid method was applied. Through this calculation, the basic aerodynamic data of the forward-wing aircraft were provided and the aerodynamic characteristics of the wing is expounded.

Vibratory Loads Behavior of a Rotor in High Advance Ratios (고속 전진비 조건에서의 로터 진동하중 특성 연구)

  • In this study, the hub vibration load characteristic is evaluated for a rotor in high advance ratio conditions while investigating blade loads through the structural load prediction and harmonic analysis. Numerical studies are performed to validate the wind tunnel test data performed in NASA as the rotor advance ratios are varied from 0.40 to 0.71. A good correlation is obtained for rotor performance calculation at the range of advance ratios considered. It is observed that the hub vibration loads remain almost unchanged when the advance ratios are higher than 0.5, even though the amplitudes of blade structural loads become larger with increasing advance ratios. A harmonic analysis on blade moments is confirmed that the dominant structural mode is 3/rev component for flap bending moments and 4/rev for lag bending moments. The reason is due to the tendency of the second flap and lag mode frequencies which approach 3/rev and 4/rev, respectively, as the advance ratios are increased.

Approach to the Earthquake Prediction by Analyzing Foreshocks of Large Korean Historical Earthquakes (역사지진에서 강진의 전진에 대한 특성 분석을 통한 지진 예지에 대한 고찰)

  • Seismicity changes associated with foreshocks of large Korean historical earthquakes of MMI > VIII are investigated for earthquake prediction study. A number of tests showed that b-values of foreshocks associated with these large earthquakes are most stable for precursor period of 13 years before the earthquake and rectangular source area of $1.1^{\circ}$ by $1.1^{\circ}$ around the epicenter. The b-values of foreshocks for 11 large events of MMI > VIII for the above foreshock area and precursor period turns out to be smaller than the value of 0.36 for the whole historical earthquakes with average 0.27. Epicenters of these foreshocks of small b-values are distributed close to the location of the main large earthquake. These observations indicate a possibility of predicting large earthquakes by closely monitoring the change of b-value for an extended period over decades in the Korean peninsula.

Geometrical description based on forward selection & backward elimination methods for regression models (다중회귀모형에서 전진선택과 후진제거의 기하학적 표현)

  • A geometrical description method is proposed to represent the process of the forward selection and backward elimination methods among many variable selection methods for multiple regression models. This graphical method shows the process of the forward selection and backward elimination on the first and second quadrants, respectively, of half circle with a unit radius. At each step, the SSR is represented by the norm of vector and the extra SSR or partial determinant coefficient is represented by the angle between two vectors. Some lines are dotted when the partial F test results are statistically significant, so that statistical analysis could be explored. This geometrical description can be obtained the final regression models based on the forward selection and backward elimination methods. And the goodness-of-fit for the model could be explored.

  • In this paper, we propose forward stagewise algorithm when data are very large or coming in batches sequentially over time. In this situation, ordinary boosting algorithm for large scale data and data batch stream may be greedy and have worse performance with class noise situations. To overcome those and apply to large scale data or data batch stream, we modify the forward stagewise algorithm. This algorithm has better results for both large scale data and data batch stream with or without concept drift on simulated data and real data sets than boosting algorithms.

  • The snow control storage facilities have the physical requirements that are an anti-icing and deicing operations. They are efficiently and quickly performed, and composed of a vehicle depot for the snow removal equipment and truck, anti-icing and deicing chemical storages, and the control utilities. This study is to investigate the planning guidance of foreign countries, and the actual conditions of the snow control chemical storage facilities for expressway, the national highway and the local road, and is to suggest the planning guidelines. As some of the authorities have no fixed structures for the snow control storage, this study analyze the 5 cases constructed lately. From the result of the case studies, the operations performed in the snow control storage facilities and drawback of the facilities are analyzed with respect to layout, size, plan, and structure, and the improvement planning guidance is also suggested.

Numerical Investigation of Forward Flight Characteristics of Multi-Ducted Fan (다중 덕트 팬 전진 비행 특성에 대한 수치적 연구)

  • Increasing cruise speed is an important issue for the development of the next generation rotorcraft. Among several concepts proposed by previous research, the rotorcraft with ducted fan demonstrates its possibility of high-speed flight. In this study, numerical simulations are conducted to investigate the aerodynamic and flow characteristics of multi-ducted fan in forward flight. The aerodynamic efficiency around front ducted fan is determined by interaction between free-stream velocity and the induced velocity. While flow characteristics of rear ducted fan are dominantly influenced by the front ducted fan. Separation in the front ducted fan occurs faster than that of rear ducted fan, and the separation at duct inlet induces an increase of fan thrust. As a result of interaction effect between each ducted fan, relatively aligned inflow enters to the rear ducted fan. Therefore, thrust of the rear fan is decreased steadily before separation, and sudden changes of thrust in fans occur simultaneously. Due to the pressure decrease on lower surface, the normal force of rotorcraft is reduced with forward speed.

A Study on Competitiveness and Effect Analysis for Developing a Port Specialized in Northern Sea Route (경쟁력분석에 따른 국내 북극항로 전진기지 구축방안에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, It became possible to transport freights and energy resources via Northern Sea Route(NSR) as global warming has been accelerated. As a result, all countries of the world and Korean local governments have had a struggle to take the advantageous position first in NSR development. However, this extreme competitions might have a negative effect on the national port industry and cause unnecessary social costs and economic losses. Therefore, the main target of this study is to find the most suitable port for NSR using AHP analysis. Most of the data was gained from previous literatures and public statistics and the weight of each factor was calculated by the result of expert survey. As a result, Busan port has the biggest competitiveness, followed by Yeosu Gwangyang, Ulsan and Incheon. From the result, this study suggested 3 possible scenarios. The first scenario specializing Busan port in NSR focuses more on developing the related businesses such as repair of ships, refueling, ship stores trade than attracting the more cargoes. the second is a strategy to make Ulsan port as a hub for energy resources, especially liquid cargo on NSR. the last is a mixed one to assign suitable roles to the ports according to their competitive capabilities.

  • 유전 발현 데이터는 생명체의 특정 조직에서 채취한 샘플을 microarray상에서 측정한 것으로 유전자들의 발현 정도가 수치로 나타난 데이터이다. 일반적으로 정상조직과 이상조직에서 관련 유전자들의 발현 정도는 차이를 보이기 때문에, 유전발현 데이터를 통하여 암을 분류할 수 있다. 하지만 분류에 모든 유전자가 관여하지는 않으므로 관련성 있는 유전자만을 선별해내는 작업인 특징 선택방법이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 회귀분석의 변수선택방법중 하나인 전진 선택법(forward selection method)을 사용하여 유전자들을 선택하고 분류하는 방법을 제안한다. 실험데이터는 대장암 데이트를 사용하였고, 분류기는 KNN을 사용하였다. 이 방법과 상관계수를 이용한 특징 선택 방법인 피어슨 상관계수와 스피어맨 상관계수방법과 비교해본 결과 전진 선택법에 의한 특징 선택방법이 암의 분류에 있어서 더 효과적인 유전자 선택을 한다는 사실을 확인하였다. 실험결과 90.3%의 높은 인식률을 보였다.
