$TiO_2$ Photoanode on Dye-Sensitized and Electrochemical Properties of Solar Cells (염료감응형 태양전지용 $TiO_2$ 광전극의 전기화학적 특성)

  • The $TiO_2$ Pastes was prepared with the starting materials of $TiO_2$ (P-25), ethyl cellulose, a-terpineol and bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate, and this $TiO_2$ paste application for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) were investigated. In order to improved transparency of $TiO_2$ photoanode films, $TiO_2$ paste was changed ethyl cellulose and a-terpineol contents. The morphology of prepared $TiO_2$ films were investigated by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM). The electrochemical properties of the thin films and the performance of DSSCs were measured by photovoltaic-current density and AC impedance. Energy conversion efficiency was obtained about 5.7% at ethyl cellulose and a-terpineol on best mixed ratio under illumination with AM 1.5 ($100mWcm^{-2}$)simulated sunlight.

Research and Development of Electrode Surface Inspection System (전극 표면 검사 장치 연구 개발)

  • In manufacturing processing of a secondary battery, the visual inspection system is studied and developed to check the surface defects of the electrode plates. It consists of two parts, one is the hardware control and the other software implementation. The former is made up to the system configuration and the design of the optical system, the illuminations and the controllers. The latter is the detection algorithms of the surface defects. This system achieves the quality improvement of the electrode process and the price competitiveness. By using the proposed defects detection algorithms this system demonstrates the high reliability of spot, line, manhole, extraneous substance, scratch, and crater defect of a electrode plate surface.

Electrochemical Properties of Dye-sensitized Solar Cells Using the TiO2 Prepared by Hydrothermal Reaction (수열합성한 TiO2 분말을 이용한 염료감응형 태양전지의 전기화학적 특성)

  • In this work, according to temperature and time of hydrothermal synthesis, the electrochemical properties of $TiO_2$ particle using TTIP based on changing temperature and time in the hydrothermal synthesis were analyzed and optimized temperature and time were derived. When hydrothermal synthesis temperature and time were $200^{\circ}C$ and 1 h, respectively. The fabricated DSSC delivered the best electrochemical properties. In that case, $TiO_2$ particle size was 13.08 nm, electron transport time was $2.34{\times}10^{-3}s$ and recombination time was $4.01{\times}10^{-2}s$. The lowest impedance of $13.52{\Omega}$ and Voc, Jsc, FF is 0.70 V, $1.50mAcm^{-2}$, 65.62%, respectively and corresponding efficiency of 5.34% was considered as the optimal.

  • 소규모 풍력에너지, 연료전지 및 태양에너지 등의 신 재생에너지원들이 소규모 분산전원으로 도입되고 있다. 이로 인해, 수용가 측의 전원이 대규모 전력사업자로부터만 공급받던 시스템방식에서, 분산전원과 연계하여 동시에 사용하는 방식으로 바뀌고 있다. 이러한 분산전원이 계통에 도입될 경우 이로 인해 평상시 기존 계통의 보호방식에 미치는 영향의 경우는 상시전압변동, Flicker, 병해열로 인한 순시전압변동, 고조파, 불평형 등이 고려 될 수 있다. 또한 이러한 경우로 인해 보호계전기의 오동작도 초래 할 수 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 태양광시스템을 분산전원으로 하는 연계 계통을 모델링하여 발생하는 파형에 대해 분석한다. 또한 디지털 보호계전기의 디지털 필터링 기법을 비교하여 빠른 연산 속도와 주파수 응답 특성을 가지는 알고리즘을 선정하고 모델링하여 모델링 된 디지털 필터로 분산전원 연계를 통해 얻어진 파형을 필터링 한다. 본 논문에서 분산전원의 계통 모의는 전력계통에 모의에 높은 신뢰성을 가지는 PSCAD/EMTDC를 기반으로 하였으며, 디지털 보호계전기의 디지털 필터 알고리즘 모델링은 MATLAB을 사용하였다.

  • Orthorhombic $LiMnO_2$ was synthesized by solid-state reaction using $LiOH{\cdot}H_{2}O$ and $Mn_{2}O_{3}$ as starting material. Its electrochemical properties as cathode in lithium batteries were examined. X-ray diiffraction revealed that the $LiMnO_2$ compound showed a well-defined orthorhombic phase of a space group with Pmnm. The capacity of $LiMnO_2$ agreed well with its specific surface area and grinding treatment was effective in improving cycling performance. For lithium polymer battery applications. the $LiMnO_2$ cell was characterized electrochemically by charge-discharge experiments. And the relationship between the characteristics of powder and electrochemical properties was studied in this research. A maximum discharge capacity of $160-170mAhg^{-1}$ for $LiMnO_2/Li$ cell was achieved.

  • Pt counter electrode based on flexible metal for dye-sensitized solar cells(DSCs) has been investigated. Photovoltaic structures on lightweight substrates have several advantages over the heavy glass-based structures in both terrestrial and space applications. Cyclic voltammetry and impedance spectroscopy were used to investigate electrochemical properties of Pt counter electrode both FTO glass and SUS sheet substrate. The DSCs composed of the counter electrode based on a stainless steel substrate has obtained conversion efficiencies comparable to that based on the conducting glass. The counter electrode based on the stainless steel substrate has the merit of improving the fill factor and conversion efficiency of the DSCs by reducing its internal resistance.

  • We prepared $LiCo_{1-x}Ni_{x}O_2$ by reacting stoichiometric mixture of LiOH.$H_2O$, $CoCO_3$.$xH_2O$ and $Ni(OH)_2$ (mole ratio respectively) and heating at $850^{\circ}C$ for 5h. We awared through XRD that from 0 to 0.5 at x in $LiCo_{1-x}Ni_{x}O_2$ is well formed for hexagonal structure, but the more $LiCo_{1-x}Ni_{x}O_2$ involve NI, the more hexagonal structure is not well formed. In the result of charge/discharge test, charge/discharge characteristic of $LiCo_{1-x}Ni_{x}O_2$ is similar to that of $LiCoO_2$. Therefore, $LiCo_{1-x}Ni_{x}O_2$ is superior to $LiCoO_2$ for Li secondary battery

  • The trend of increasing of portable electric devices and demand for global environmental conservation have demands the development of high energy density rechargeable batteries. Lithium polymer battery has excellent theoretical energy density and energy conversion efficiency. Lithium polymer battery, included solid polymer electrolyte(SPE), can be viewed as a system suitable for wide applications from thin film batteries for microelectronics to electric vehicle batteries. The purpose of this paper is to research and development of flyash anode for lithium polymer battery. We investigated AC impedance response and charge/discharge characteristics of flyash/SPE/Li cells. The radius of semicircle associated with the interfacial resistance of flyash/SPE/Li cell increased very slowly during discharge process from 3.11V to 0.478V. And then the cell resistance was decreased at discharge process from 10% SOC to 0% SOC. Also, The radius of semicircle associated with the interfacial resistance of flyash/SPE/Li cell decreasing very slowly during charge process. And then the cell resistance was increased after 20th discharge precess. The discharge capacity based on flyash of 1st and 20th cycles was 276mAh/g and 143mAh/g.

工業地域과 中心地의 階層化方法에 關한 檢討

  • The vegetation activity of the Korean peninsula has been monitored temporal variations through a satellite remote sensing and the vegetation index was used to set up the vegetation data map of Korea. The AVHRR data sent by the NOAA-14 satellite was collected for 8 months between April and November, 1997 to calculate the normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI) which was combined the MVC(Maximum Value Composite). Then this NDVI composite map was prepared to review the temporal variations in the vegetation activity. The NDVI has been subject to the unsupervised classification for the growing season between May and October. And the vegetation type is divided into five classes ; urban, bare soil, grass, farming land, deciduous forest and coniferous forest. The unsupervised classificaion of vegetation distribution in the Korean Peninsula shows that the urban and bare soil take 4.14% of total national area, grass 4.49%, farming land 27.54%, deciduous forest 25.61% and coniferous forest 38.22%.

  • The purpose of this study is to research and develop $Li_xV_3O_8$ composite cathode for lithium polymer battery. We investigated electrochemical, interfacial properties and charge/discharge cycling of $Li_xV_3O_8$/SPE/Li cell. The radius of semicircle associated with the interfacial resistance of $Li_xV_3O_8$/SPE/Li cell increased very slowly during discharge process from 100% SOC to 90% SOC. And then the cell resistance was increased at discharge process from 10% SOC to 0% SOC. The discharge capacity based on $Li_xV_3O_8$ was 212mAh/g at 15th cycle. The $Li_xV_3O_8$/SPE/Li cell has a good properties.
