최근 악의적인 해킹이나 산업 스파이에 의한 정보유출 등이 날로 늘어남에 따라 정부 차원에서의 관련 법제도 강화나 적극적인 대응에 대한 방법론 등이 크게 대두되고 있다. 이에 컴퓨터 내에 남아있는 전자적 증거들을 실제 법적인 효력을 가지도록 하는 연구가 활발하게 이루어지고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 전자적 증거로서 가장 많이 사용되어지는 것이 로그 정보라 할 것이다. 기존의 로그정보는 분산된 호스트에 따른 관리의 문제와 무결성과 인증의 문제를 지니고 있다. 이 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 분산된 로그 정보를 실시간으로 암호화하여 중앙의 특정 서버에 저장하는 방법을 사용한다. 이를 통해 무결성과 출처의 인증이 보장된 실시간 정보에 의한 법적 신빙성을 획득할 수 있다.

Recently, the use of digital media such as computers and smart devices has been rapidly increasing, The vast and diverse information contained in the warrant of the investigating agency also includes the one irrelevant to the crime. Therefore, when confiscating the information, the basic rights, defense rights and privacy invasion of the person to be seized have been the center of criticism. Although the investigation agency guarantees the right to participate, it does not have specific guidelines, so they are various by the contexts and environments. In this process, the abuse of the participation right is detrimental to the speed and integrity of the investigation, and there is a side effect that the digital evidence might be destroyed by remote initialization. In this study, we conducted surveys of digital evidence analysts across the country based on four domains and thirty measurement items for enabling environment for participation in information storage media export and digital evidence search process. The difference between the level of importance and the performance was analyzed by the IPA matrix based on process, location, people, and technology dimensions. Seven items belonging to "concentrate here" area are one process-related, three location-related, and three people-related items. This study is meaningful to be a basis for establishing the proper policies and strategies for ensuring participation right, as well as for minimizing the side effects.

In consideration of the drastic transformation of records management environments, this study aims to suggest the directions for redesigning the electronic records management policies at a national level. First, it clarifies the four implicit objectives of electronic records management policies since the 2006 amendment of the Public Records Management Act, such as comprehensiveness for ensuring the appropriate management of any type of digital records, digital-friendly processes for records management, proper management for guaranteeing the evidential value of digital records, and long-term preservation of digital records. Second, it examines the challenging environmental factors in the areas since 2006. Third, it reviews the achievement of the policies as well as failures based on analyzing the policy documents and data from the National Archives of Korea. Fourth and finally, it suggests core areas and directions for redesigning the electronic records management policies, emphasizing the inclusiveness for data-type electronic records.

Public institutions defining the legal scope of records management are a prerequisite to ensure the accountability and public's right to know. In this study, the requirements essential for determining the legal scope of the concept of public records were identified. For this, the concept of policies and the scope of public records which were prescribed by current laws such as the Public Records Management Act, Electronic Government Act, and Framework Act on Electronic Documents and Transactions were analyzed by this study. Furthermore, by examining both domestic and foreign cases on the legal competence of evidence of digitized records, institutional supplementary points were proposed.

Web records is valuable information to preserve, because it can be used as a legal evidence about business or e-commerce of a public institution, but it is easily disappeared because of its volatile characteristic. Therefore, archival information package should be defined for long-term preservation. Web records can be stored in the archival information package for electronic records, because web records is a kind of electronic records. However, the NEO(NARS Encapsulation Object), the archival information package for electronic records in Korea, can't able to store web records, because it was developed without consideration of the characteristic of web records. In this paper, we define extended NEO based on the analysis of KoSurWeb and KoDeWeb, that archival information package for document of surface and deep web as well as the NEO. Web records can be preserved and utilized along with electronic records by using the extended NEO. Also it can be used for record and legal evudence by archiving web records of public institution about e-commerce.

Digital forensics refers to finding electronic evidences related to crimes. As cyber crimes are increasing daily, digital forensics for finding electronic evidences is also becoming important. At present, various aspects of digital forensics have being researched including the overall process model and analysis techniques such as network forensics, system forensics and database forensics for digital forensics. Regarding database forensics, only analysis techniques dependent on specific vendors have been suggested. And general process models and analysis techniques which can be used in various databases have not been studied. This paper proposes an integrated process model and analysis technique for database forensics. The proposed database forensics model (DFM) allows us to solve problems and analyze databases according to the situation and purpose, and to use a standard model and techniques for various database analyses. In order to test our model(DFM), we applied it to various database analyses. And we confirmed the results of our experiment that it can be applicable to acquisition in the scene as well as analysis of data relationships.

With the advent of the non-face-to-face era, a new type of digital sexual crime with avatars is emerging on the Metaverse virtual reality platform. Due to the lack of clearly established in legal and regulatory systems, it is challenging to punish offenders and acquire digital proof for sexual crimes using these avatars. This research aims to suggest a service and technological solution is development platform that may assist crime prevention and the collection of digital evidence, with a particular emphasis on digital sex crimes that occur in the metaverse, a virtual reality realm. This study explores the reasons behind the difficulty of legal application in the metaverse and then determines the types of digital sex crimes that may occur in the metaverse. In addition, it is suggested what service components the metaverse should contain from the stage of construction and design, can be utilized what element of metaverse in order to prevent illegal activity of avatars.

In the maritime digital forensic part, it is very important and difficult process that analysis of data and information with vessel navigation system's binary log data for situation awareness of maritime accident. In recent years, anaysis of vessel's navigation system's trajectory information is an essential element of maritime accident investigation for vessel digital forensic process. So, we analysis of maritime navigation systems of vessel and feature of device and environments. In the future, we will research on information of ship's trajectory and movement for useful forensic service.

컴퓨터의 발명은 인간의 사회생활을 혁신적으로 변화시켰다. 이러한 변화의 특징은 한마디로 정보화사회 또는 정보사회란 말로 표현되고 있다. 정보사회가 내포하는 의미는 수 없이 다양하지만 그 중에서 인류 문명의 계속적인 발전을 뒷받침해 온 기록방식 또는 문서화 방식의 혁신을 빠뜨릴 수 없다. 전통적으로 인간의 문서활동은 종이 위에 문자를 사용해서 자신의 의사를 표현하였고, 이러한 기록은 문서로 남아 차후 분쟁이 발생할 경우 증거로서의 기능을 발휘하였다.
