Development of Thermosyphon for Cooling of High Power Electronic Component in Telecommunication System (통신시스템의 고발열 부품 냉각용 써모사이폰 개발)

  • 통신시스템의 고발열 전자부품 냉각을 위해 3종류의 써모싸이폰을 각각의 용도에 따라 개 발하였으며 그 각각의 설계변수에 대한 냉각특성을 실험적으로 구하였다. TS-I에서는 증발부 내부 에 금속스크린 메쉬형심지를 삽입함으로써 시간에 따른 온도 변화를 작게 하여 냉각성능 안정성을 확보하였고, TS-II에서는 9W/cm2의 높은 냉각성능을 가진 루프형 써모사이폰을 개발하였으며 TS-III에서는 작동유체의 종류, 파이프개수 와이어 삽입여부등 써모사이폰의 주요 설계변수에 따 른 냉각특성을 구하였다.

  • 대형 전동기의 주요 소음원은 전자기 소음과 냉각/통풍 시스템 소음이며, 이 중 냉각/통풍 시스템이 전체 소음에 큰 영향을 미친다. 본 논문에서는 대형 전동기의 저소음 냉각/통풍 시스템 개발을 위해 저소음 냉각 팬을 개발하고 팬 커버 내부의 유로를 개선하였다. 유동해석은 상용 CFD 소프트웨어를 이용하였으며 팬 커버 내의 scroll 형상 및 air guide, baffle 의 유무에 따라 팬 커버의 압력손실을 계산하였다. 해석을 통해 팬 커버 내부의 난류 유동과 압력손실이 가장 작은 팬 커버 형상을 도출하였으며 개선된 냉각/통풍 시스템이 기존 냉각/통풍 시스템보다 6.5dB 감소된 것을 확인하였다.

  • The objective of this study is to investigate performance characteristics of the thermal management system for passenger hydrogen fuel cell vehicle under various operating conditions. The thermal management systems comprised of a stack cooling system, an electric device cooling system and an air conditioning system for a passenger room were tested with driving conditions. As a result, in highway driving mode, the cooling performance of the stack cooling system with air conditioning on condition was 28.8 % lower than that of the air conditioning off condition. And cooling load of the electric cooling system in the city driving mode was 65.6% higher than that of the highway driving mode.

  • 연료전지차 및 하이브리드차용 전기구동시스템의 냉각성능은 차량의 동력성능을 보장하기 위한 중요한 요소이다. 각 단품의 성능 확보를 위해 냉각수를 허용 온도 이하로 관리해야 하며 이때 라디에이터 방열량과 냉각수 유량이 중요 변수가 된다. 본 논문에서는 현대자동차 연료전지차량의 모터, 인버터를 포함한 100kW 전기구동시스템의 최적 냉각 설계를 위하여 차량주행모드에 따른 전기동력부품의 발열량을 이론적으로 산출하고, 시험을 통하여 냉각시스템의 성능을 검증하였다.

  • The object of this study is to develop an cooling control algorithm for electronics devices of the electric vehicle. In order to estimate the existing cooling control logic of the electronic devices for the small and medium sized electric vehicle, the experiments on the coolant temperature variation of the cooling system were conducted under 4 different seasons conditions. As a result, the existing cooling control logic were overcooled when it was compared with the reference temperature for a required cooling load. In addition, the newly developed optimum cooling control logic for improving the mileages of the tested electric vehicle with consideration of the ambient temperature, vehicle speed, and refrigerant temperature of the air conditioning on/off is necessary.

  • Recently, photovoltaic inverter is received attention in photovoltaic with introduction of feed-in tariff. However, this inverter has problems such as inability to respond flexible at climate change due to its opening, and decrease of efficiency and lifetime due to its abnormal operation. To solve the problem, we desire to develop the eco-inverter which has a temperature control to respond easily on the change of temperature, and use the sealed structure not to affect the environment. In addition, we derive the optimal position of cooling system which is placed inside of inverter to minimize the power consumption, and proposed the effective measure to improve the efficient of inverter by deciding the number of cooling system.

  • A cooling system is adopted to control the thermal load from the avionic equipments in an aircraft for stable operation. In this study, an avionic cooling system was designed and manufactured by adopting a vapor compression cycle with a closed-loop air-circulation system to investigate the operating characteristics of an alternative refrigerant. The performance characteristics of a cooling system adopting R236fa as an alternative refrigerant were experimentally determined by varying the refrigerant charging amount, expansion valve opening, and compressor rotation speed. The experimental results were analyzed and compared with those of a cooling system adopting R124 as a refrigerant. The possibility of the adoption of R236fa as an alternative refrigerant was verified, and design solutions were suggested to improve the system efficiency.

  • The contemporary peoples focus on treatment of obesity in order to prevent the adult disease and to manage the beauty. Although surgical treatment of obesity shows the reliable cure effect, it could cause side effects and has a disadvantage that postoperative recovery period is long. Accordingly, this paper compares and analyzes the non-operative treatments which can be of help to treat obesity. Also, it considers the obesity therapy based on the Peltier cooling system. And finally a basic control circuit based on Peltier module is designed for Peltier cooling-based obesity therapy system.
