독립전원으로 구동되는 변압기 일차측 개폐 회로를 적용한 대기전력 저감 장치에 관한 연구

  • 최근 국내 IT 산업의 발달에 따른 디지털화에 따라서 대기전력에 의해서 소비되는 전력소모량은 일반 가정용 전원을 기준으로 할 때 전체 사용량의 11%에 육박하는 수준까지 나타나고 있으며, 이는 다른 선진국에 비해서도 상당히 높은 수준으로 미국의 5% 수준의 2배가 넘는 수치이다. 전기, 전자제품의 디지털화 의 추세는 일반가구 및 산업시설에 공급되는 공급전압에 비해서 상당히 낮은 전압으로 제품이 동작하게 되며, 이러한 전압변환은 제품에 내장된 변압기에 의해서 수행되는데, 변압기는 전기, 전자제품이 구동하지 않는 경우에도 일차측에 인가된 전압에 의해서 발생되는 대기전력 소비량에 의해서 일정 크기의 전력소모가 지속적으로 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 대기전력에 대해서 가전제품의 대기상태를 유지하기 위한 상태에서 소모되는 전력량 및 변압기의 1차측에서 유도되나 2차측에서 전력에너지로 변화되지 못하고 소실되는 손실을 모두 포함하는 것으로 정의를 내리고, 해당 적용 제품의 비구동상태에서 독립된 전원으로 구동되어 변압기의 1차 측을 완전히 개방하여 1차 측 전압인가에서 발생되는 손실까지 모두 줄일 수 있는 회로에 대한 기술적인 구성과 적용가능성에 대하여 연구하였다.

  • In this paper, we intend to develop a control system that can apply the developed vertical stirring heater to the facility house and control the other facilities (circulating fan, ventilation fan, window using a switching motor, ceiling, and dehumidification). Through this, it is intended to increase the cultivation efficiency of crops and improve storage environment of crops held by non-heated storage or storage warehouses to increase the storage period and freshness. In addition, ICT monitoring technology is added to enable users to easily solve problems when there is a problem due to changes in the cultivation and storage environment with Real Time Control (RTC).

Present State Analysis of Customers' Effect in Power Distribution System by Momentary Voltage Variation (배전계통의 순시전압변동에 의한 수용가측 영향의 현황 분석)

  • This paper analyzes the present state of customers' effect in distribution system by momentary voltage variation. Customers are becoming increasingly concerned about the quality of electric power. Most of all, the voltage magnitude quality is very important because it can have a direct effect on customers. Especially, according to the development of automatic process, momentary voltage variations result in the shutdown of sensitive loads such as electronic equipment, computer and magnetic contactor, and so on. To analyze the shutdown rate of customers' equipments by the momentary voltage variation, we present the CVEMA curve and he cumulative CVEA curve of each load type through the experiment for the customers' sensitive equipments. Also, we have surveyed customers' opinion by the questionnaire as "Survey of Power Quality" an then the results are reported.

760 V-Class DC Switch Breaking Characteristics Using Tandem Type Magnet Extinguisher (탠덤형 자석 소호기를 사용한 760V급 직류 개폐기의 차단 특성)

  • Magnetic arc extinguishing technology is effective as an extinguishing device for low-voltage direct current (DC) circuit breakers with a resistive load of ≤4 kW. The separation distance between the magnet and the electrical contact must be shortened to increase the magnetic arc extinguishing force. However, if the magnet is installed too close to the electrical contact points, the magnet is exposed to high temperatures due to the arc current generated when the load current is cut off and the magnetism is lost. To solve this problem, the effective magnetic flux density at the electrical contact can be maintained high by placing the arc extinguishing magnet in a tandem structure with the electrical contact point between them, and the proper separation distance between the contact points and the magnet can be maintained. In addition, an electric arc extinguishing technology that emits arc energy using a series circuit of diode and resistor is used to suppress the continuous arc voltage generated by the inductive load. For the proposed circuit breaker, the breaking characteristics are analyzed through the breaking test for the DC load of the 760 V level, the load power of 4 kW, and the time constant of 5 ms, and an appropriate arc extinguishing design guideline is proposed.

Development of Proportional Valve Actuator Controller for Industrial Site (산업용 밸브 액추에이터 비례제어 컨트롤러 개발)

  • To proportionally control the electronic valve position of the actuator, we designed and fabricated PCU, CPT, and rotary absolute optical encoder for the detection of absolute angular position in the actuator. We also designed and constructed the test system by using DAQ hardware and Labview. We designed PCU to convert 1-5 V, 0-5 V, 0-10 V, 2-10 V voltage signals and 4-20 mA current signals to the voltage signals in the common 0.5-2.5 V range. We designed CPT to output 4-20 mA current signals corresponding to the valve positions based on the PWM signal input from the MCU. We also designed 20 bit optical encoder by using infrared LED and infrared transistor and made the serial communication with the main board possible. When we tested PCU and CPT with DAQ hardware and Labview software, they operated correctly with the small errors within ${\pm}0.003$ V and ${\pm}0.01$ mA, respectively, showing that our actuator has the excellent performance to employ as the industrial proportional-valve-actuator. The resolution of the encoder was $11.25^{\circ}$ and the maximum revolution to detect was 32,768.

Development of Door Control Unit for the Electric Plug-in Door of Subway Train (전동차 전기식 플러그도어 출입문 제어 장치 개발)

  • The Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) has many types of door system such as sliding door, plug door etc.al. according to customer's requirements. The sliding door is widely used in Korea but has weak point in the noise problem. In the low operation speed, the noise coming from outer side of the EMU is not an important factor. As the speed is higher than before, noise is increased and make a problem. The main cause of noise is the imperfect air tightness in the EMU. The plug door system has advantages for the noise reduction characteristic in the high speed area. We have been developing electric plug-in door. The door is controlled by Door Control Unit(DCU) following the order of Automatic Train Protection (ATP) that is a kind of train signalling system. DCU has to simultaneously open and close the doors and the operation of it is related to the passengers safety. So DCU is a safety device that is important to reliability and safety. DCU is composed of several devices of control, motor driving, Input/Output, communication and power. In this paper, we will describe the functions, characteristic, requirement, subsystem and test results of DCU used for the electric plug-in door.

A Study on Development of Independent Low Power IoT Sensor Module for Zero Energy Buildings (제로 에너지 건축물을 위한 자립형 저전력 IoT 센서 모듈 개발에 대한 연구)

  • The energy consumed by buildings among the total national energy consumption is more than 10% of the total. For this reason, Korea has adopted the zero energy building policy since 2025, and research on the energy saving technology of buildings has been demanded. Analysis of buildings' energy consumption patterns shows that lighting, heating and cooling energy account for more than 60% of total energy consumption, which is directly related to solar power acquisition and window opening and closing operation. In this paper, we have developed a low - power IoT sensor module for window system to transfer acquired information to building energy management system. This module transmits the external environment and window opening / closing status information to the building energy management system in real time, and constructs the network to actively take energy saving measures. The power used in the module is designed as an independent power source using solar power among the harvest energy. The topology of the power supply is a Buck converter, which is charged at 4V to the lithium ion battery through MPPT control, and the efficiency is about 85.87%. Communication is configured to be able to transmit in real time by applying WiFi. In order to reduce the power consumption of the module, we analyzed the hardware and software aspects and implemented a low power IoT sensor module.

A Study on Temperature Characteristics of Automatic Valve for High Pressure Cylinder of FCV (수소연료전지 자동차 압력 용기용 전자밸브의 온도 특성에 관한 연구)

  • FCV is installed with a automatic valve attached in an high pressure cylinder to control the hydrogen flow. The supply of hydrogen from the cylinder into the fuel cell stack is controlled via the on/off operation of a solenoid attached to the automatic valve. The solenoid needs to provide the necessary attraction force even at any saturation temperature caused by drive of the vehicle. In this study, the simplified prediction equations for the saturation temperature are suggested. The finite element analysis was performed by steady state technique, according to the boundary condition in order to predict the saturation temperature and attraction force. Finally, the saturation temperature was validated through comparison between the analysis results and measurement results. From the results, the measured saturation temperature $5.9^{\circ}C$ lower with respect to the analysis results. And the error of attraction force ranged from 1.0 to 2.1 N at testing conditions.

Thermal Change Prediction of Magnetic Switch Using Regression Analysis (회귀 분석 기법을 활용한 전자 개폐기의 온도 변화예측)

  • Electricity is essential energy in modern society, such as being used in various industries. However, the rate of fires occurring on electric wiring to deal with it is very high. In this work, we implemented a system to predict the temperature change of an electric circuit through analysis using various regression models. To do so, we collected the temperature data of 27 types of magnetic switches which control electric circuits as well as trained the regression models by using the collected temperature data. In our experiments, we confirmed that the regression models can be trained at a sufficiently usable level since the difference between the actual temperature and predicted temperature is about 4℃. The results of our work will be useful to predict the temperature of electric circuits and preventing fires on them.

Performance Characteristics of an Electronically Controlled EGR Valve for Diesel Engines (디젤엔진용 전자식 EGR 밸브의 성능 특성)

  • Lately, the modulated EGR system that includes EGR valve and EGR cooler is being installed in diesel engines fur the purpose of the simultaneous reduction of NOx and PM. In this study. we designed and constructed a test bench for the performance evaluation of the modulated EGR system, and tested an electronically controlled EGR valve for 2.0 L diesel engines. The performance of the EGR valve was evaluated in terms of the valve lift behavior. the valve opening/closing response, and the mass flow rate through the valve. The valve lift with respect to the duty ratio of PWM signal was non-linear, and followed a different path fur valve opening and closing, that is, hysteresis. The valve opening response was concluded satisfactory falling within the usual standard response time. For the duty ratio of 40 to 60%, the mass flow rate through the valve was observed to depend on the pressure difference across the valve as well as the duty ratio, while it solely depended on the pressure difference fur the duty ratio above 60%.
