A Study on the Characteristics of Architectural Museum Based on Functional Configuration (건축박물관의 기능구성에 따른 유형별 특성에 관한 연구)

  • Architecture is widely regarded as one of important fields representing their own culture. In most cities of our nation, there has been the tendencies of negligence in keeping its record properly to be used. So, the purpose of this study is to collect the basic informations and analyse them to develop the appropriate programs for us. This study aims to offer fundamental characteristics of functional configurations in architectural museums through comparative analysis between korean and foreign museums. In so doing, it deals with the relationship between identity of museum policy and its spatial program such as archiving center, exhibition center and communication-research center. For the prove of such relationship this study attempt to compare multiple cases such as MAXXI, Nai etc. Finally this study propose that, in considering the establishment of a new architectural museum, the space program should be considered as a continuous changing process in order to make the museum as a cultural multi-complex.

System Level Performance Evaluation of TICN Based on Mobile WiMAX (Mobile WiMAX 기반 TICN의 시스템 레벨 성능평가)

  • This study analyzed the system level performance of the Mobile WiMAX-based TICN, and the effects of the use of BS-OTM in terms of the throughput of individual users as well as the overall system, assuming that other stationary BSs are distributed randomly. When BS-OTM is used, the CINRs decrease due to the additional interference from the BS-OTM from the perspective of SSs that are served by the same BS as when OTM BS is not used. On the other hand, from the perspective of SSs that had low CINRs, the CINRs increase significantly due to the new service from BS-OTM. Considering both effects, the cell throughput can be increased using BS-OTM. The CINR distribution and throughput of the overall system, changing the carrier frequency, position and velocity of the BS-OTM were also evaluated.

  • More addition of calcium carbonate in printing paper allows savings of the wood fibers and the drying energy. Pre-flocculation of GCC (ground calcium carbonate) using functional polymers was known as the best available technology to make high loaded paper until now, and it allowed less reduction of the paper essential properties such as tensile strength and smoothness at higher GCC content. However, pre-flocculated GCC became unstable in size under the continued agitation in the mill. Therefore, pre-flocculation method was modified in such a way that the in-situ calcium carbonate was formed between the GCC particles of the pre-flocculated GCC, and the resultant became more stable in size, which we named as HCC (hybrid calcium carbonate). HCC turned out to make high tensile strength and smoothness as much as the pre-flocculated GCC and gave much better size stability against stirring. Furthermore, HCC gave high bulk that pre-flocculation could not make.

The Influence of Usage Intentions of Social Network Services in MICE Industry: Focused on the Gender Differences (MICE 산업의 SNS 이용의도에 미치는 영향: 성별차이를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine the factors influencing usage intentions of Social Network Services (SNS) in MICE (Meeting, Incentive travel, Convention, and Exhibit and Event) and moderating effects of gender. This model tests various theoretical research hypotheses relating to MICE industry, SNS characteristics, and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The target population of this study is SNS users with MICE participation experience. The results of hypothesis testing are as follows. First, information provision, convenience, service quality and SNS usage experience positively influence attitudes toward SNS. Second, attitude positively influences usage intention of SNS. Finally, information provision and service quality to attitudes toward SNS for males are significantly large than those for females. Convenience and SNS usage experience to attitudes toward SNS for females are significantly large than those for males. And attitude to usage intention toward SNS for males are significantly large than those for females. The results of this study will provide various implications to improve usage intentions of SNS in MICE industry.

Visual Discomfort Analysis of Binocular Depth Change on 3D Stereoscopic Imaging (입체영상의 양안 깊이 변화에 따른 시청 피로도 분석)

  • The development of stereoscopic display hardwares and 3D authoring softwares expands its application areas from particular virtual simulation applications to general movies, games, advertising applications. However, the binocular-based 3D stereoscopic images cause fatigue to viewers. Recent performed many research results about the binocular stereoscopy's depth perception and viewers' fatigue are derived from experimental users studies. In some results, watching and making guidelines for 3D stereoscopic imaging contents are introduced. The 3D stereoscopic-related contents have the contradictory aspects, which are audiences' pursuit of a tolerable minimum fatigue and producer's its of excessive depth changes for providing viewers' immersion. This paper provides user experiments and analysis data in aspects of 3D depth changes. For use of producers, a safety zone and translational velocity of 3D depth changes are introduced. Also, on the viewer side, we present the depth change adaptation time by using an EEG device.

Study on the effect of the physical environment of the Gangwon region art museum on the level of satisfaction of the visit (강원지역미술관 물리적환경이 방문만족도에 미치는영향 연구)

  • Local art museums are being operated as non-profit organizations for the advancement of the collection, preservation, research, exhibition and education on art-related materials. The art museum is based on the physical environment of the means created by the human will. This study examined the visit satisfaction of the physical environment of the Gangwon Regional art museum. For the measurement, the Art Museum physical environment, kimhonghee (2012), was used as the elements, and Parasurama based on the SERVQUAL model was analyzed. The SPSS 18.0K statistics program was used to analyze the results, and the analysis of the elements of the physical environment of the art museums resulted in the surrounding factors, viewing factors, human factors, and facility factors. Regarding the level of satisfaction of the visitors, there was a difference in the level of satisfaction of the elements of the physical environment for each of the factors according to the gender, and it was confirmed that they generally have a positive (+) effect. The Gangwon Regional Art Museum is building a better physical environment to look forward and continue to communicate with the visitors.

  • In recent years, there are many awareness and demand for digital convergence of the future. In information technology, especially, convergence with other studies such as regional studies, literature and humanities should be needed because information technology is closely related to real life. Culture atlas represents various aspects related to culture visually using points, arcs, and more in the map. Thus, it should be an available tool to survey cultures efficiently in digital environments. For oversea region study, especially Mediterranean region research, we suggest the way to apply electronic culture atlas in this paper. In detail, design and implementation a study on Electronic Culture Atlas for overseas area. Research results for oversea regional studies can be expressed visually by utilizing digital culture map implemented in this paper. Therefore, digital culture atlas should be used as convergence media between information technology and other studies such as regional studies, humanities and so on, tools for oversea regional studies, and exhibition of research results.

A Development of Weapon System Test Set's Display Using an Ecological Interface Design Methodology (생태학적 인터페이스 디자인(EID) 기법을 활용한 무기체계점검장비(WSTS) 디스플레이 개발)

  • The weapon system has developed by adding various functions because of the warfare change. And, an weapon system test set (WSTS) that is used to test and judge the condition of weapon system also deal with a lot of complex information. However, almost WSTS is developed on the basis of developer-centric. Because of it, it is hard to make a result by apprehending information on WSTS's display. Thus, I proposed a new display of WSTS by adapting the Ecological Interface Design(EID) Methodology to reduce operator's cognitive workload and assure safe testing. WSTS's Display is developed through Information Requirement and Work Domain Model as a result of Work Domain Analysis. The most powerful thing in the new display is that operator can identify his testing and status of WSTS directly. I expect that it reduces operator's cognitive workload and helps safe testing.

Performance analysis of a cold-air forced circulation type showcase (냉기 강제순환형 공랭식 쇼케이스 성능 해석)

  • In this study, a simulation program was developed, which predicts the performance of cold-air forced circulation type air cooled showcase. The showcase has an excellent display effect in addition to preserving the grocery. In the program, the compressor was analyzed using performance data supplied by the manufacturer and the capillary tube pressure drop was analyzed using a homogeneous model. The evaporator and condenser were analyzed by dividing the heat exchangers into small elements, where energy balance and appropriate heat transfer correlations were used. A showcase model with two 3/4 HP compressors, capillary tubes of 1.6 mm inner diameter, a fin-and-tube evaporator and condenser was tested, and the results are compared with the predicted values. It is shown that both evaporation and condensation temperatures are adequately predicted by the program.
