  • Since various applications is converged in digital televisions, playing game on DTV will be available in the immediate future. Game programming of DTV is more difficult than that of PC in a viewpoint of game development. Since TV use very simple remote controller as user interface, mapping type, choice type, and one-button type are used among mobile game user interfaces. In addition, we suggest to use text class, numeral class, bitmap class, and shape class of DTV OSD middleware which is proven software, instead of developing new DTV-oriented game engine. The proposed interfaces can be applied in various game situations and allow intuitive and fast operations. By using OSD middleware, game actions can be subdivided into state structures, OSD objects can be used as game objects, and events and actions of remote controller keys are easily defined.

  • It is the most important thing of the overall VE that we create inventive ideas from idea phase in the design VE. However, it is hard that it take a long time and create a superior idea using Brainstorming. And, it was real to lodge an alternative plan proposed on the idea thinking phase, it is true that an alternative plan of existing simply costdown apply to a change and insert isn't different from an inventive idea deduction. Also creating alternative idea, many expert hold on to only his field and it was exposed a limit depend on a team's experience or intuition than technical solution. In this study, we analyzed the problem of the present design VE processing and analyzed the problem through a survey to an expert, and then we'll suggest a possibility for an efficient design VE.

  • This study analyzes the major factors affecting the freight rates of Very Large Crude-Oil Carriers (VLCC) using co-integration and vector error correction models (VECM). Particularly, we estimate the long-term equilibrium function that determines the VLCC freight rate by conducting difference conversion. In the VECM regression analysis, the error term converges toward long-term balance irrespective of whether the previous period's freight rate is bigger or smaller than the long-term equilibrium rate. Thus, even if the current rate is different from the long-term rate, it eventually converges to the long-term balance irrespective of a boom or recession. This study follows Ko and Ahn (2018), which analyzed the factors affecting the chemical carrier freight rate and was published in the Journal of Shipping and Logistics (Vol. 34, No. 2). It is expected that an academic comparison of the results of each study will be possible if further research is conducted on other vessel types, such as container ships and dry cargo vessels.
