Comparison of Career Identity and Professionalism among Dental Hygiene Students according to Educational System (학제에 따른 치위생(학)과 학생의 진로정체감과 전문직업성의 비교)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the career identity and professionalism of dental hygiene students according to an educational system(three-year course and four-year course). In this study, we conducted survey of 579 dental hygiene students in Chungcheong Province. The collected data were analyzed with a SPSS WIN 12.0 program. The findings of the study were as follows: 1. In regard to career identity by educational system and academic year, the freshmen(2.73) had the best career identity in the three-year course and the juniors(2.67) excelled the others in the four-year course. In terms of professionalism, the freshmen(3.34) were most excellent in the three-year course, and the seniors(3.29) were the best in the four-year course. 2. As to career identity by motivation of choosing the major, the students who have chosen the major in hopes of being well paid had the best career identity both in the three-year course(2.78) and four-year course(2.75). In terms of professionalism, they who have chosen the major in consideration of their own attitude and for the purpose of getting a lifelong occupation(3.44) were the best in the three-year course, and the students who wanted to get a lifelong job(3.29) were most excellent in the four-year course(p<.01). 3. The educational system had a significant correlation to career identity and professionalism.

Influential Factors for Professionalism of Community Health Practitioners(CHPs) (보건진료전담공무원의 전문직업성에 미치는 영향요인)

  • This study was conducted to determine factors affecting professionalism of community health practitioners (CHPs). The participants in this study were 153 community health practitioners working in G province with structured self-report questionnaires from 20 August to 25 September 2017. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANONA, Scheffe's test, Pearson's correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression using the SPSS 20.0 program. There were statistically significant differences according to income (F=6.951, p<.001), work experience (F=5.245, p=0.002) and motivation for choosing a community health practitioner (F=3.676, p=0.004). The highest related factors were job satisfaction (${\beta}=0.320$, p<0.001), individual disposition (${\beta}=0.291$, p<0.001), income (${\beta}=0.283$, p<0.001) and job continuance (${\beta}=0.176$, p=0.009). These variables explained 49.6% of the total variance in professionalism. These findings suggest that it is necessary to develop a convergence program and policy support at the individual and organizational level to strengthen the professionalism of community health practitioners.

  • 이 연구는 보건계열 학과에 재학 중인 학생들의 윤리교육 경험과 윤리교육 필요성인지에 따른 윤리지식수준의 차이를 살펴보고자, 보건계열 학과에 재학 중인 596명을 대상으로 자기기입법에 의한 설문조사법으로 2005년 4월 한달 동안 실시하였다. 연구에 사용된 연구도구로 독립변수는 의료 윤리 교육경험, 전문윤리 교육경험, 직업윤리 교육경험, 임상실습 경험, 전문윤리 교육 필요성 인지, 의료윤리 교육 필요성 인지이었고, 종속변수는 면허관련법규 지식수준, 전문윤리 지식수준, 의사결정판단 지식수준, 팀웍 지식수준이었다. 수집된 자료를 SPSS 12.0을 사용하여 기술통계와 t-test를 실시한 결과, 임상실습경험 직업윤리 교육경험 의료윤리 교육경험, 전문윤리 교육경험, 전문윤리 교육 필요성 인지에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었으며, 이 중 직업윤리 교육경험에 따라서는 4가지 윤리지식수준에서 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 정상적으로 학교에서의 윤리교육이 이루어져야 하고, 일반 윤리교육에 비해서 직업 윤리교육이 강화되어야 한다고 사료되었다.

Career Cognition, Key Competency, Vocational Values of University Students and Junior College Students (대학생의 진로 관련 인식, 직업기초능력, 직업가치)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze career cognition, key competency, vocational values of university students and junior college students. The study was carried out through questionnaire survey method. The population sample for the study constituted 368 completed questionnaires from sample of 373 freshmen-women of university and students. A survey questionnaire consisted of career cognition items, key competency scale, vocational values scale, and personal characteristics items. The construct validity of key competency scale and vocational values scale were confirmed by factor analysis with varimax rotation. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were employed for data analysis. Major findings of this study were as follows: First, university students and junior college students most wanted to get a job after graduate. Many students decided their career at high school days. Many students were not prepared for their career after graduate. They recognized that major curriculum of university and junior college was very helpful to prepare their career. And many students discussed with their parents about their career. Second, key competency of them was moderately high. In the items of key competencies, 'communication and following' was the highest. And key competency of university students was better than that of junior college students. Key competency of male students was better than that of female students. Third, vocational values of them were high. In the items of vocational values, 'occupational stability' was the highest, and 'work in freedom and challenge' was the lowest. 'Occupational stability' and 'work in freedom and challenge' of junior college students was higher than that of university students. And 'occupational stability' of female students was higher than that of male students.

  • In this study, we tried to investigate the relationship between the cosmetology major student's major satisfaction and the professionals by analyzing the effect of the cosmetology major student's major satisfaction on the beauty professional hall. Research Results It was found that there is a correlation (p <0.001) between the degree of satisfaction of college students in the hair beauty department and the beauty professionals (p <0.001), and the satisfaction of the department is "specialty" t = 4.625 (p =). .000),'Occupational recognition' t = 3.152 (p = .002), major value is'specialty' t = 2.330 (p = .021),'professional activity' t = 2.438 (p = .015), 'Occupation recognition' t = 4.843 (p = .000), university student activity adaptation is a subordinate factor of the cosmetology profession, "professional activity" t = 2.746 (p = .006), "occupation recognition" t = 4.303 ( Appearing as p = .000), it was found that the degree of satisfaction of college students in the hair beauty department has a significant effect on beauty professionals. For cosmetology college students, major satisfaction not only leads to satisfaction with the university and department, but also to self-satisfaction and cosmetology job confidence, allowing them to adapt to social life with a positive impact, and cosmetologists are hair With the values and attitude toward the beauty profession, you will be able to become a professional officer when you are a university student majoring in cosmetology. Through the research results, the formation of a positive professional hall for college students majoring in hair beauty and the satisfaction of the major will be enhanced, and the self-development of students, as well as professors and educational relations, will be established so that beauty professionals can be established through correct theory and practical education. Education and continued guidance on the professional ethics and values of the person is considered necessary.

Comparison of subjective voice symptoms in elite vocal performers and professional voice users (전문 음성사용자와 직업적 음성사용자의 주관적 음성증상 비교)

  • This study aimed to provide knowledge helpful for understanding voice problems related to occupations in the clinical field through an investigation and comparison of subjective vocal symptoms of 12 professional actors and 12 speech-language pathologists Among the 11 symptoms, "Difficulty with high pitch when singing," "Hypertension in the neck when speaking," and "Feel voice fatigue" were the most frequent symptoms in both groups. Additionally, the professional voice users reported a higher frequency of "Difficulty with high pitch when singing" (p=.049), "Hoarse voice" (p=.021), "Difficulty (requiring effort) when speaking" (p=.032), "Pain in the neck when speaking" (p=.009), and "Feel vocal fatigue" (p=.018) than the elite vocal performer group. This may be due to the different voice-related environments and differences in voice demands during occupational activities between the two groups.

The Effect of Job Training Satisfaction on Career Attitude Maturity in Vocational College Youth: Mediating Effects of Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy (직업전문학교 청소년의 직업훈련만족도가 진로태도성숙에 미치는 영향: 진로결정자기효능감의 매개효과)

  • This study is to examine whether the satisfaction of youths in job training is effective in career attitude maturity mediated with career decision-making self-efficacy, The subjects of this study were 386 students who were sampled from four vocational schools in Seoul and SPSS 21.0 was used for statistical process. The results of this study are as follows: First, job training satisfaction showed a positive correlation with career attitude maturity. Second, career decision-making self-efficacy showed a positive correlation with career attitude maturity. Third, in the relationship between job training satisfaction and career attitude maturity of youths, the mediating effect of career decision-making self-efficacy had a statistically significant positive effect and had a partial mediating effect, Therefore, it is suggested that the higher the satisfaction of vocational training in vocational schools, the higher the career decision-making self-efficacy and also the higher the career decision-making self-efficacy, the higher the career attitude maturity.

  • 본 연구는 한국 여성사서들의 전반적인 직업실태 및 직업관을 조사 분석함으로 여성사서들이 향후 한국 사서직의 전문성 제고에 기여할 수 있는 방안을 모색해 봄에 그 목적을 두었다. 조사 대상은 전국의 공공, 대학, 전문도서관의 정사서자격증을 소지한 여성사서들이며 자기보고식 질문지를 통하여 자료를 수집, SPSS통계 팩케지에 의해 처리하였다. 여성사서들의 인구학적 특성 (연령별 분포; 결혼여부; 교육수준), 직업적 특성(관종별 분포; 직위; 재직연한; 업무지속성;전문직적 활동), 직업에 대한 태도(결혼후의 계속근무의사; 직업계속동기; 성차별요인; 직업만족도) 등이 분석되었으며 결론을 통하여 한국사서직의 전문성제고와 발전을 위한 구체적인 방안이 제안되었다. (본 연구는 연구자의 박사학위논문(1991) 내용의 일부를 발췌한 것으로 통계수치는 기존의 연구결과에 ‘한국도서관총계’(한국도서관협회, 1993)상의 수치를 반영한 것임.)
