The development direction of vocational education teachers' fostering of china based on vocational teachers specialization and vocational disciplines (직업교사 전문화 및 직업과학 학과발전에 기반한 중국 직업교육 교사양성 전망 -UNESCO '국제 직업교사 석사 교육과정 구성표준'을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to introduce formation 'International framework curriculum for a Master Degree for TVET teachers and lectures' to present implications about fostering Chinese vocational teachers and to analyze the contents related to it. In 2004, UNFSCO composed formation International framework curriculum for a Master Degree for TVET teachers and lectures ("framework curriculum") to improve the ability of professionals in the vocational education and training fields including teachers and training leaders as well as to promote international academic exchange. Universities which introduce the framework curriculum should form specialized committee and carry out education considering the specific situation including other universities' situation, students' ability, educational certification system, etc. The framework curriculum should include the latest trends of the development of international vocational education science and carry out united educational learning between several internal or external high schools. UNFSCO tries to promote the development of educational learning and study of basic departments of vocational education such as vocational educational learning theory, vocational science, etc through the framework curriculum and to improve knowledge of vocational educational teachers and realize specialization of them. The number of universities that established the master's degree of vocational education in China is approx. 20 and the number of students that they collect every year. As for the plans of the master's degree of vocational teachers in each university, the courses about the practical problems like educational courses and educational learning are insufficient. But the framework curriculum thinks that educational learning of application theory is more important and emphasizes practice about the specific area and educational learning much more. Utilization of preceding experiences of advanced countries has the important meaning in search of models that foster Chinese vocational teachers and departmental system. The framework curriculum implies several useful points in installment of majors and educational process of the process that fosters Chinese vocational teachers.

Analysis on the Differences of the Occupation Values Towards the Individual Characteristics of the Students Majoring in Sports at Junior Colleges (전문대학 체육전공자의 개인특성에 따른 직업가치관 차이 분석)

  • This research target students who are majoring in sports at junior colleges and it purpose lies in analyzing the differences in the perspectives towards sports related occupations following the individual characteristics of the students. First, when it comes to the difference of the interest in an organization, sophomore shows more difference than freshman and students who are more than 23 years old shows more difference than students who are 21 or 22 years old. Second, when it comes to the difference in economic incomes, sophomore shows more difference than freshman and students who are more than 23 years old shows more difference than students who are 19 or 20 years old. Third, when it comes to the difference in societal status, sophomore shows more difference than freshman. Fourth, when it comes to the difference in the sense of pride towards one's occupation, male students shows more difference than female students, freshman shows more difference than sophomore and students who are more than 23 years old shows more difference than students who are 21 or 22 years old and 19 or 20 years old. Fifth, when it comes to the difference in preference, male students shows more difference than female students. Sixth, when it comes to the rise of social position, there is no difference in sex, school year or age.

An Analysis of Educational Satisfaction on the Implementation of Educational Cooperation Systems in Vocational High Schools between CIS Countries and Korea, Focusing on Exchange Students from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan (CIS 국가와 한국의 직업고등학교 교육협력체제 운영현황과 교육만족도 분석: 카자흐스탄과 키르기스스탄 교류학생을 중심으로)

  • This study was carried out to identify what elements affected the satisfaction of high school international students, who were invited for Vocational Education organized by Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) program. They are in vocational high school which located in Jeollanam-do province. The results of the analysis showed that the highest level of satisfaction is 'satisfaction of education level' (M = 4.19) and 'overall satisfaction' (M = 4.19). In general, the average satisfaction of international exchange students at vocational high school was 3.92 points. The High School Exchange Student Program through invitation and scholarship for vocational education is aimed at establishing an international network between Korea and CIS countries and cultivating global talent. This year 10 foreign students were selected and supported the second time. Considering the sustain ability of the program, this study will yield the following results and will be helpful in future mentoring in school or in the management of international students.

The Occupational Structure of the Junior College Students' Transfer and Occupation Status Effect (편입학의 직업지위 효과와 직업구조: 전문대졸자 vs. 일반대 편입학자)

  • This study surveyed and analyzed the labor market result when comparing the case that junior college students found a job after transferring to 4-year university with the case that they found the job directly after graduating the junior college. The difference of the occupational structure following the transfer was surveyed in detail and this study examined what effect the transfer had on the occupation status. The graduate occupation movement survey(GOMS) was used and the samples of 544 persons were extracted to use through propensity score matching(PSM) to raise the choice convenience of the sample. The occupation status index to use as a dependent variable was developed to apply. The study result is as follows. First, as a result of confirming the occupational structure of the transfer, the transfer students were distributed in more various industrial fields evenly compared to the non-transfer students in the horizontal industrial structure, and non-transfer students were intensively distributed in the certain field. In the vertical occupation status structure, transfer students were distributed in the high occupation status more than non-transfer students who were broadly distributed in the low occupation status. Second, it was revealed the college transfer was highly effective for the occupation status, which appeared statistically significantly. The explanation variable that appeared significantly outside of that included the parents' academic background, major affiliation, employment pattern, major job coincidence, and job coincidence. The higher students' academic background was, the higher the occupation status was and in case of the engineering natural science affiliation, the occupation status was higher than the humanities social science. In case of full-time workers, their occupation status was higher than one of part time workers and it was revealed the occupation status was high when the their major coincided with the job and their educational/technical level coincided with their job.

A Study on the Occupational Value and Job Choice Intention of University Students in Healthcare Management (의료경영계열 대학생의 직업가치와 직업선택의도에 대한 연구)

  • This study is a descriptive survey study using a self-reported survey method to find out the job value and intention of career choice of college students in the medical management field. This study was conducted on university students in medical management at three four-year universities located in Busan Metropolitan City. A total of 139 effective questionnaires were used as statistical analysis data. As a result of the analysis, social dedication and stability were significantly displayed in the selection of jobs for hospital administration and administrative positions, and social dedication and stability were significantly displayed in the selection of jobs as medical recorders. In choosing a career as an international medical tourism coordinator, the focus on human relations, maintaining face, and pursuing stability have been significant. Only social commitment was significantly shown in the choice of occupation as a health educator. A comparison of job values according to general characteristics showed that there was a difference in the pursuit of knowledge and social commitment. In the case of grades, there was a difference in social dedication and stability. There was no significant difference in the case of religious or non-religious matters. In the case of economic level, only economic priorities differed. Through this study, we would like to present basic data so that college students in medical management who prepare to take the first step into a professional medical management society can recognize the need for recognition of job value and move in a better direction in choosing a job.

A Suggestion on College Curriculum through the Competencies analysis of College Graduates (전문대학 졸업생 역량 분석을 통한 전문대학 교육과정 방향성 제고)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide preliminary data to improve the quality of vocational education program by analyzing basic occupational skills and acquired knowledge of vocational college graduates. A total of 236 graduates were sampled to examine their competency importance level - competency performance level, and study differences between competency importance level and contribution level of college education. The paired sample t-test and importance-performance analysis were employed to investigate meaningful differences between competency importance level and Competency performance level in regard to acquired knowledge and basic occupational skills. Meaningful differences were found in 12 areas at significance level of 0.01. According to importance-performance analysis, differences were presented in 4 areas in the first quadrant, 1 in the second quadrant, 4 in the third quadrant, and 3 in the fourth quadrant. In comparison study between competency importance level and college contribution level, the latter was found to be relatively less influential as differences were presented in all of 12 areas at significance level of 0.01. This research will helps to enhance the practicality and effectiveness of education program in vocational college.

  • Firstly, our Technical and Vocational Education and Training(TVET) ODA currently uses 70% of its budget on short-term assistance project works without much consideration for continuity from one project to another. Secondly, TVET ODA budget is much too concentrated on hardware support, lowering impact compared to the amount invested. Lastly, there is a lack of research on the needs of recipient nation which leads to lowering effectiveness of TVET ODA. This Study analyzed the characteristics of Korea's TVET ODA through the statistical data analysis of ODA. This study's main focus is to recommend methods for Korean colleges to overcome tendencies and limitations of TVET within Korea's ODA. Colleges have advantages in training students to fit needs of the market and companies based on decades of experience colleges have on academic-industrial collaboration. Colleges can also transfer qualification verification systems to fit the recipient country and dispatch TVET related personnel to strengthen software support. Additionally, the post project evaluation and post job placement management capabilities of colleges can be actively used for post management of TVET projects. I hope that through this study, ways to increase participation of colleges in TVET ODA can be discussed in more variety.

A Study of Training and Development for Employees of Private Employment Service Agency (민간고용서비스 종사자의 직업능력개발 지원 방안)

  • In private employment service, providing employment information for job seeker and recruiter, providing information on job, job map, and providing vocational training and development have been paid attention. Particularly, it needs to train the employees, working at private employment service agencies. The purpose of the study was to examine the current trends of private employment service, service employees, and their training status. In the result, we suggest that it needs to manage the quality of service employees' qualification, to initiate the accreditation program for their expertise, and set up an institutions for training them. In addition, providing a program of supervision for employees, considering a set up of an mutual aid association among themselves, and developing specialized training programs.

Study on Employment Preference and Employment Perception and Job Value of Dental Hygiene Department Graduating Students (4년제 치위생학과 졸업예정자의 취업선호도와 취업인식 및 직업의식에 관한 조사연구)

  • This study was purposed to study on employment preference and employment perception and job value of dental hygiene department graduating students. The subjects of the study were 111 graduating students on 4-year-course K-University, dental hygiene department at W-city in Gangwon-do. The questionnaire consisted of 30 questions about general characteristics, employment characteristics and job value. The data were analyzed using the frequency analysis, Mann-Whitney U-test or Kruskal-Wallis test, and the Pearson's correlation between the level of job recognition with IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 20.0. The significance level was 0.05. There were significant difference between major satisfaction, grade, number of certificate and job value(p<0.05). Each questions of job value showed a significant correlation(p<0.01). Although there are limited sample qroups, this study identified employment characteristics and job value of dental hygiene department graduating students on 4-year-course and could be used for future career and job guidance.

Convergence Influence of Clinical Physical Therapist's Attitude toward Work Environment and Professionalization on Job Satisfaction (임상 물리치료사의 업무환경 및 전문성 제도화에 대한 태도가 직업만족도에 미치는 융복합적 영향)

  • This study investigated the influence of clinical physical therapist's perception of their work environment and their attitude toward professionalization on individual job satisfaction. This study is a cross-sectional survey of clinical physical therapists 356 working in hospital, and utilized a structured questionnaire. As a result of this study, in their twenties, women, physical therapist with low clinical experience, and physical therapists working at hospital level showed low job satisfaction. Most of the physical therapists said that they needed a system for professionalism, and the lower the job satisfaction was, the higher the attitude toward the necessity of introducing a professional system. The variables affecting job satisfaction were academic background and annual salary. Therefore, in order to improve the job satisfaction of physical therapists, improvement of salary and learning for professionalism played an important role in improving job satisfaction. Self-development and job specialization through the introduction of a system for equipping expertise appear to be important to improve the job satisfaction.
