Teacher Perception of Science Competency and Science PCK for Competency-Based Science Education in the Future Society (미래사회 과학 역량에 대한 교사 인식과 역량기반 과학교육을 위한 교사 전문성 탐색)

  • In this study, focusing on science education in the future society, we explored students' key competencies to be cultivated for the future society, and the role and PCK expertise necessary for science teachers, who are the main agents of competency-based education to nurture these key competencies. A survey conducted among earth science teachers across the country results in 105 valid responses being obtained. The research results are discussed in terms of students' key competencies to be nurtured for the future society, the role and the expertise of science teachers required for competency-based education, and the structural relationship between the teacher role and teacher expertise. We also conducted network analysis to examine the relationship between student competency and teacher expertise, and the structure between the teacher's role and expertise. Main results include that communication and collaboration skills are the most important for students in the future society as core competencies. For science teachers, providing opportunities for collaboration-oriented activities are deemed as the most important. Regarding the structural relationship between the teacher's role and the teacher's expertise, there is a clear relationship with roles such as providing opportunities for collaboration-oriented activities and utilizing various materials and contents in relation to the expertise related to the science teaching practice. Based on the results, ways to promote student's agency based on raising teachers' awareness of the student's competencies, the inter-relatedness of the teacher's role and the teacher's expertise, and the totality of teachers' expertise were suggested.

  • 공과대학생의 평생학습역량 증진을 위하여 학습역량을 진단하고 수준에 따른 맞춤형 학습역량 향상 로드맵을 제시할 필요가 있다. 이를 위하여 학습역량 진단도구를 선행연구를 분석하였다. 대부분의 연구에서는 핵심역량을 포함하여 학습역량 진단도구를 개발한 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 핵심역량과 별도의 학습-특정적인 진단도구를 개발하기 위하여 학습역량의 구성요인을 정의하고 예비 진단도구 안을 제시하였다.

A Study on Development of Integrated Sports Talents' Competency Model By Career Type (체육인재의 경력유형별 융합적 역량모델 개발 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a competency model by career type by designing the specified career paths through the analysis of career experience of the athletes in the professional sports field. For this purpose, career types were identified as sports administrators, judges, leaders, sports information analysts, and global sports talents based on literature analysis, career development type and path guide design, experts interviews. Competency candidates were derived from interviews and workshops on experts. In order to finalize the competency model, it was confirmed by completing the feasibility test of experts. As a result, it is divided into common competency, professional competency, and global professional competency. There are 6 common competencies such as global competence, OA utilization, 29 special competencies by 5 career types, and 2 global competencies like sports foreign affairs, job preparation for international sports organization and the sports league federation. Competency definitions and behavioral indicator were developed for all competencies and could be used to diagnose the competency level of sports talents and to establish career development academy programs based on the competency model.

  • Recently, the construction policy is rapidly changing and construction project becomes larger and more complex. Specialty contractors are in charge of the actual construction work, but they are considered to have low competence level. To strengthen competence of specialty contractors' employees, above all, it is essential to evaluate and to analyze the competence factors level for specialty contractors' employees. However, there is no in-depth research on competence factors level for specialty contractors. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the competence factor in order to find the high priority factor. The result of this study can be utilized for development of effective educational program for enhance specialty contractors' competence.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose the direction of competence of future designers required in the fourth industrial revolution. Designers have played an intermediary role in connecting technology and human beings. Therefore, in the fourth industrial revolution the capacity required to perform the intermediate role as a designer has also changed. The paradigm of design which changed step by step through the literature survey was studied. In addition, priorities were confirmed by comparing past and future designer competencies through prior research on designer competencies. As a result, we confirmed that the planning competence to solve complex problems and the competence of design management to realize them. Based on this research, we hope to be able to recognize the direction of competence as a designer in the fourth industrial revolution and to be a reference material for the follow - up study.

An Analysis on the Educational Needs of College Faculty: A College Case (전문대학 교수의 교육요구도 분석: A대학 사례를 중심으로)

  • This study was conducted to elicit the competencies of college faculties and their educational needs depending on the careers. 110 full-time professors from A college in Gyeonggi-do participated in this study from November 27 to December 7, 2018. The findings are that competencies of college faculties were found as 10 teaching competencies and 7 general competencies, and most of the competencies showed differences in importance and performance. In addition, according to the t-test and Borich needs analysis, there were differences in the educational needs of faculties depending on the three careers: a group with less than five years of experience, a group with six to ten years of experience, and a group with more than 11 years of experience. The results of this study suggest the systematic education and training program to improve the competencies of college faculties are necessary and show designing a concrete road map and training manual is needed.

  • 최근 취업에 청신호가 켜진 IT분야에서 전공자들이 취업을 준비할 때, 선 취업 후 실무 역량을 강화해야 할지 또는 실무 역량을 충분히 갖추고 난후 취업해야 할지는 직무 역량에 따라 차이가 있을 것이다. 그러나 열심히 취업을 준비해온 학생들은 좀 더 자신감을 가지고 적극적으로 취업 지원을 할 필요가 있다. 학생들에게 취업 지도를 하는 교수자로서 자신이 가진 역량에 비해 자신감이 없는 학생들을 보면 안타까울 때가 많다. 본 연구에서는 IT분야 기 취업자들에게 취업 시 필요한 역량에 대한 설문을 실시함으로써, 취업을 준비하는 학생들에게 실제 취업에 성공한 취업자들의 의견을 통해 보다 자신감을 가지고 취업 지원을 하는데 도움이 되고자 한다.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the standards and directions of professional competency and proficiency of social workers in Korea through a review of British cases. In particular, in the face of a super-aged society, this study aimed to improve the proficiency of social workers in the field of elderly welfare in Korea by examining the complacency and proficiency standards of the British Association of Social Workers and the Health Care Professionals Council related to the care of the elderly. With the structure of a Professional Capabilities Framework, the UK promotes the acquisition of competency-based qualifications by specifically presenting the competency of social workers at each stage of qualification. In addition, general and detailed standards of proficiency of social workers in the care field are presented at each qualification stage. In order to improve the competence and proficiency of Korean social workers through a case study in the UK, this study presented the need for a standard that connects "common competencies, professional competencies, and proficiency of social welfare professionals." This study also suggested the necessity of the role of Social Welfare Education Association and Association of Social Workers for this purpose
