Performance Analysis of DS-CDMA System using Space-Time Beamforming Technique (시공간 빔 형성 기술을 이용한 DS-CDMA 시스템의 성능 분석)

  • As a channel of a DS-CDMA system is shared among several users, the receivers face the problem of MAI. Also the bandlimited channel leads to ISI. Both components are undesired, but unlike the additive noise process, which is usually completely unpredictable, their space-time structure helps to estimate and remove them. This paper investigates a DS-CDMA system with a fading multipath channel. The investigations have been separated into a channel estimation part and a reception part. In the estimation part of seperated two parts, the multipath parameters such as DOA and TOA are evaluated in this paper. In the part of receiver. we used these parameters and tested the performance of this receiver about space-time beamformers. To assess many different estimation techniques and beamformers, the simulation compared with theoretical values is performed.

  • In this contribution, we design and implement an SPI hardware interface for the microprocessor to communicate with the MMC (Multi-Media Card) in an embedded system. Proposed architecture is compatible with the APB in AMBA bus architecture. Embedding OS in an embedded system means a big burden in terms of hardware and software ending up with performance decline. In this paper, we adopt the concept of SPI communication without using OS in the embedded system and implement in a form of FPGA chip. The designed SPI module was automatically synthesized, placed, and routed. Implementation was performed through the Altera FPGA and well operated at 25MHz clock frequency, which satisfied our target speed.

  • Drinking is one of most prominent causes for social problems like domestic violence, drinking and driving, and health problems. If who drunken can check promptly how much blood alcohol content, abstain from drunken driving or successive drinking schedule. In this paper, implementation of digital portable breathalyzer using semiconductor gas sensor based on MEMS were suggested. A small size micro controller with low power and surface mountable, ATMEGA48 can control semiconductor gas sensor digitally and display the value of alcohol concentration on LED.

  • Wireless sensor networks achieve environment monitoring and controlling through use of small devices of low cost and low power. Such network is comprised of several sensor nodes, each having a microprocessor, sensor, actuator and wired/wireless transceiver inside a small device. In this paper, we employ the sensor networks in order to design and implement a real-time vehicle safety system. Such system can inform the safe velocity in a specific weather condition to drivers in advance through analyzing the weather data collected from sensor networks. As a result, the drivers can prevent effectively accidents by controlling their car speed.

  • 본 논문은 RF 리더기와 RF 태그 상호간의 통신시에 발생할 수 있는 충돌을 감지하고 이를 능동적으로 회피할수 있는 RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification)의 설계에 관한 내용이다. RFID는 사람, 자동차, 화물, 상품 등에 정보를 부가하는 시스템으로 그 부가정보를 무선통신매체를 이용하여 비접족으로 해독하는 시스템으로 기존의 바코드보다 데이터의 전송속도와 용량의 증가 그리고 편리성이 향상되는 장점이 있으나, 동시에 여러개의 RF태그와의 무선통신으로 인한 데이터의 충돌이 발생할 수 있다. 이러한 충돌을 감지하고 이를 적절하게 회피하는 것은 RFID 시스템의 신뢰성을 높이는데 필수적인 요소이다. RFID 태그로 사용되기 위해서는 건전지로 구동될 수 있도록 저전력소모가 요구되며 또한 통신의 시작과 충돌을 파악할 수 있는 캐리어 감지기능이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 조건들을 만족하는 Chipcon 사(社)의 양방향 RF IC를 사용하였다. Chipcon 사(社)의 양방향 RF IC는 다중 주파수 대역의 선택과 변조방식을 시리얼통신을 통해서 손쉽게 변경할 수 있기 때문에 충돌감지시 다양한 회피알고리즘을 상황에 맞게 구현할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 양방향 RF IC를 사용하여 충돌을 감지하고 회피할 수 있는 RFID시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다.

  • 무선 센서 네트워크(WSN)는 소규모, 저비용, 저전력 지능형의 센서 노드로 구성되고, 원격 환경 감시와 군사작전 및 재난 상황 등에 응용 될 수 있는 기술이다. 이러한 센서 네트워크에서 구성된 노드의 에너지 공급은 독립된 소형배터리를 통해 이루어진다. 따라서 각 노드에서의 에너지의 효율적인 관리가 무선 센서 네트워크의 최대 쟁점이 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 노드의 제한된 배터리 자원을 보다 효율적으로 유지 관리하기 위한 방법으로 ASIT(Advanced Sensing Interval Time) 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 ASIT란 입력된 센싱 값의 변화와 센서 노드의 에너지 잔여량에 따라 센싱 주기를 제어 관리하는 방법으로 이에 대한 모델링을 수립하고, 실제 노드 관리 결과와 모델링 된 결과의 오차를 관찰하여 적중율을 향상하는 기법을 제안한 것이다. 제안된 ASIT의 알고리즘으로부터 센서 노드의 수명을 향상 시켜 궁극적으로는 무선 센서 네트워크 전체의 망 접속의 신뢰성과 노드 관리 수명을 연장시키며, 망의 토폴로지 구성의 측면에서는 전체적인 영역의 커버리지를 향상시키는 동시에 제한된 배터리 자원을 효율적으로 관리 할 수 있는 걸과를 얻게 된다.

  • The compensation characteristics are investigated as a function of the position an optical phase conjugation (OPC) in the optical transmission links with a randomly distributed residual dispersion per span (RDPS). The simulation results show that the optimal net residual dispersion (NRD) is decided to be 10 ps/nm and -10 ps/nm by precompensation and postcompensation, respectively, which are independence of the OPC positions.

  • In this paper, method using electric braking from stop area to high-speed area was presented in order to improve air-brake. And electric braking method can be improved environmental problems, efficiency, economy, etc.. Method for electrical complete braking are two ways that method of inserting series resistance between the motor and the inverter, and method of inverter output voltage increase. In this paper, use series resistance insert method because economical and easy to apply. In addition, Series resistor is used short circuit method for reduce the power loss. In improved efficiency and the laboratory environment for secure braking, resistance insert method and inverter output voltage increase method showed same characteristics in all areas.

  • This paper proposes an energy transmission method to maximize energy efficiency of a based station. This method makes use of classification of service type to solve an inefficient use of transmission power, which is from exponential relationship between the legacy data throughput and transmission power. The proposed one is a way to find the most energy-efficiency points with the transmitted optimal amount of data on users in a base station of wireless network environment. For this, we propose EETA (Energy-Efficient Transmission Algorithm) which can control the amount of data and the holding time at the base station. As a result, the proposed method can improve the energy efficiency of about 10% compared to the legacy base station.
