Traditionally, diffusion of telecommunications services has been considerably affected by presence of critical mass and network externalities, and thus shown the so-called late take-off phenomenon. However, as telecommunications network evolves from circuit switching to packet switching, enabling diverse new services such as Internet access, Internet banking and web hosting, it seems this traditional diffusion patterns are changing. By comparing diffusion of the packet-based services with those of circuit-based services and durable goods, we have found the late take-off phenomenon is not involved in diffusion of newly introduced the packet-based services. Moreover, we concluded diffusion of the packet-based services is much faster than that of durable goods, thus showing early take-off phenomenon. Based on this empirical result, we suggest Telcos and ISPs should pay as much attention to the growth state as the introduction stage in order for their packet-based services to be successful in the markets.

This study aims at investigating Korean EFL students' writing strategies through their rhetorical patterns and meaning-making for a writing task in an English writing classroom at a Korean university. The participants were the students and teacher in the course, and the data comprised nine pieces of students' opinion writing and interviews with the teacher. To analyze the data, a 'Claim-Support' pattern was adopted. The findings show that most students, 89%, demonstrated the same or similar elements in the 'Claim-Support' pattern for their textual structures and many parts of the meaning-making in their writing were originated from the textbook. These findings reflect that the students pursued the strategy of 'accommodation' in order to succeed in their academic writing regardless of the teacher's intention which focused on creativity and imagination in writing. The conclusion suggest that the students tend to establish their own ways of strategy to cope with the recontextualized setting for writing in English.

본 연구에서는 동아시아 가뭄에 대한 발생원인과 예측가능성을 진단하기 위하여 대기순환패턴과의 상관성 분석을 실시하였으며, 원격상관 패턴에 의한 동아시아 가뭄의 시공간적 변화특성을 분석하였다. 또한 통계적 기법인 EEMD(Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition) 분석을 적용하여 원격상관패턴과 동아시아 가뭄의 예측가능성을 검토하였다. 본 연구는 동아시아 가뭄특성을 진단하고 가뭄예측기법의 개발을 통하여 현실적인 적응전략 수립에 유용하게 활용 될 것으로 기대된다.

본 논문은 한국 주식과 미국 주식을 대상으로 Jegadeesh and Titman(1993)의 상대적세력 투자전략의 수익성을 비교 검증하고, 그 수익성의 원천을 분석하고 있다. 실증분석 결과, 과거수개월간 주가수익률이 매우 높았던 승자주식을 매입하고 그 반대의 패자주식을 매도하는 상대적세력 투자전략은 미국 주식사료(1963년${\sim}$1989년)로부터 배우 유의한 비정상적 월수익률 약 1%를 얻을 수 있었으며, 이는 체계적위험에 대한 보상을 고려한 후나 베타 크기별 소표본분석에서 모두 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 반면 동 투자전략은 한국 주식자료(1980년${\sim}$1995년)에서는 오히려 비유의적인 음의 월수익률 약 -0.34%를 얻을 수 있을 뿐이었다. 이러한 한국 주식에 대한 낮은 수익성은 베타 소표본분석과 5년간씩의 소표본기간분석에서도 마찬가지로 나타남으로써, 동 투자전략이 미국에서와 달리 효과적인 투자전략이 되지 못함을 시사하고 있다. 이러한 결과는 한국 주식의 경우 월수익률 패턴이 미국보다도 더 예측하기 어렵고 무작위적이라는 것을 의미하며, 이는 양국 주식시장의 여러 가지 제도상의 차이에 비롯되는 투자자들의 투자행태 차이 때문으로 해석된다. 예를 들어, 한국의 경우 증시안정책이나 부양책 등과 같은 시장 외적인 규제요인에 의해 시장 전체가 영향을 받는 경우가 많으며, 또한 소액투자자의 직접투자 비중이 높아 투자기간(investment horizon)의 측면에서도 투자신탁(mutual fund)과 같은 간접투자 비중이 훨씬 높은 미국에 비해 단기적인 성향이 일반적이며, 따라서 이러한 차이가 월수익률 패턴에 반영되는 것으로 이해된다.

In this study, we developed an analogy-generating strategy and applied this to a 7th grade science-gifted class. The types of analogies they generated, verbal interactions and analogy-generating patterns, and perceptions of five groups on the analogy-generating strategy were examined. The analyses of the results revealed that there was a higher proportion of the elaborated analogies in terms of quality generated by science-gifted students individually in the analogy-generating strategy than in general analogy-generating activity. After having small group activities, most small groups generated the elaborated analogies. The frequencies and percentages of verbal interactions of each sub-stage were found to be slightly different. Analogy-generating patterns in small groups were categorized into three types; selecting in-depth source, selecting inclusive source, and selecting surficial source. The elaborating patterns of mapping between a target concept and analogies were different among the types. Science-gifted students positively perceived in terms of its values and attitudes toward the analogy-generating strategy, and they responded that the analogy-generating strategy was helpful in generating more elaborated analogies and fostering creative thinking. Therefore the analogy-generating strategy is expected to generate positive impact on the creativity of science-gifted students.

In a Digital Age contents are comprized of knowledge and information. Also distinction between the sinner and loser is very clear thus only those who can rise up to challenge of changes can become the strong and a principal player. In this study this author presented a model for forecasting information service program(FISP) which is devised for the purpose of innovation of service pattern related to providing information which is ultimate goal of a library. This model is an innovative strategy escaping boldly from negative and inactive information service pattern known in analog age. Through this model this author attempted to outline methodology for heightening ideal of professional librarians and for assuring success in organizational system.

Approaches to find hidden values using various and enormous amount of data are on the rise. As big data processing becomes easier, companies directly collects data generated from users and analyzes as necessary to produce insights. User-based data are utilized to predict patterns of gameplay, in-game symptom, eventually enhancing gaming. Accordingly, in this study, we tried to analyze the gaming strategy and user activity patterns utilizing Battlegrounds in-game data to detect the in-game hack.
