The Characteristics of Titanium Oxide Films Deposited by the Nozzle-type HCP RT-MOCVD (노즐 형태 HCP RT-MOCVD에 의해 증착된 티타늄 산화막 특성)

  • Titanium oxide films were deposited by the nozzle type HCP RT-MOCVD for the application of metal-oxide films. In the case of TTNB, after depositing films, films must be annealed at a proper temperature, but in the case of titanium ethoxide, titanium oxide films could be directly deposited by titanium ethoxide without general annealing. We could confirm that ratio of O to Ti in the films was about 2 : 1 at RF-power of 240 watt, distance between cathode and substrate of 3 cm, deposition time of 20 min, and ratio of Ar to $O_2$ of 1 : 1. Therefore, we could obtain the titanium oxide film deposited by the nozzle type HCP RT-MOCVD without an annealing process and could apply in the metal-oxide deposition process at a low temperature.

Evaluation of Electrolyte and Electrode Spacing for Application of Electrokinetic Remediation (전기동력학적 정화기술 적용을 위한 최적의 전해질 선택 및 전극간의 거리 평가)

  • The influence of processing fluids and electrode spacing on the electrokinetic process was evaluated to remediate As-, Cu-, Pb-contaminated soil. Single and mixture of sodium citrate, EDTA and NaOH was used to investigate the metal extraction. EDTA for washing reagent showed the highest removal efficiency. Based on the extraction result, the electrode spacing (20, 40, 60 cm) on the electrokinetic process was investigated to remove the multi-metals from soil. The highest removal was observed at the experiment with 60 cm of electrode spacing, however, the correlation between electrode spacing and removal of metals was not clear. The electrode spacing influenced the amount of accumulated electro-osmotic flow. BCR sequential extraction showed that electrokinetic process removed the fractionation of metals bound to Fe-Mn oxyhydroxide.

The Effect of Low Temperature Plasma Treatment Condition on the Peel Strength of EVA Foam for Shoe Mid-sole (저온플라즈마 처리조건이 신발 중창용 EVA 발포체의 접착력에 미치는 영향)

  • The surfaces of injection and pressure-molded sheets of poly(ethylene-covulylacetate)(EVA) foams used for shoe mid-sole were treated with low temperature plasma to improve adhesion with a water-based polyurethane adhesives. Several experimental variables were considered, such as radio frequency power, treating time, type of gas. gas flow, and distance between electrode and sample. The modificated surface by plasma treatment were characterized using contact angle meter, scanning electron microscopy(SEM), universal testing machine(UTM). Adhesion was tested by T-peel tests of treated EVA foams/polyurethane adhesive joints. The treatment in the low temperature plasma produced a noticeable decrease in contact angle. The peel strength of EVA foams treated with plasma was increased with plasma treating time, and gas flow.

A Study on the ZnO Piezoelectric Thin Film SAW Filter for High Frequency (ZnO 압전 박막을 이용한 고주파 SAW 필터 연구)

  • ZnO thin films on glass substrate were deposited by RF magnetron reactive sputtering at 100 W, 1.33 Pa, Ar/O2=50 : 50, 200$^{\circ}C$, and a target/substrate distance of 4 cm. Crystallinities, surface morphologies, chemical compositions, and electrical properties of the films were investigated by XRD, SEM, AFM, RBS, and electrometer. All films showed a strong preferred c-axis orientation and the chemical stoichiometry. The propagation velocity of ZnO/IDT/glass of single electrode and double electrode types SAW filter was about 2,589 m/sec, 2,533 m/sec and insertion loss was a minimum value of about -11 dB and -21 dB, respectively.

  • We have studied electro-optic characteristics of a high performance liquid crystal display using Fringe In-plane field Switching (FIS) mode. The strong electric fields cause more liquid crystals to reorient almost in plane above and between the pixel electrodes. As a result, the operation voltage is lower and transmittance is higher than those of Fringe Field Switching (FFS) and In-Plane Switching (IPS) modes. Apparently, the transmittance depends on voltage applied at the configurations of FIS mode which are proposed. Therefore, we have studied certain length of between electrodes for maximum transmittance and light intensity.

  • Uranium radionuclides are electrodeposited on inexpensive stainless steel cathode from a mixed oxalate-chloride electrolyte. The factors affecting the optimum condition for the deposition are determined by studying the effects of deposition time, initial current, electrode spacing, pH of electrolyte and uranium concentration in the electrolyte at fixed cathode area. The experiment which was repeated 3 times at each uranium concentration with 60 minutes of deposition time, gave an error of less than 4% standard deviation at the 90% confidence level with average yield greater than 99%.

A Technical Application of Resistivity Tomography in Cut Slope (절개사면에서 전기비저항 토모그래피 적용 기법)

  • To find out the anomalous zone in cut slope composed of phyllite and shist, we performed resistivity tomography using a pole-dipole way. The electrical distribution that propagates from a current source in lower part of slope is measured by a potential electrode in upper part of slope. Apparent resistivity data are inverted with an iterative regularized inversion method to reconstruct 3D resistivity image. By comparing with the resistivity images in relation to each section, the images of anomalous zone correspond to their positions represented in cut slope. Therefore, the application of resistivity tomography in cut slope is useful to recognize the extension of anomalous zone.

산소 및 아르곤 이온 보조빔을 이용하여 증착한 저온 Indim Tin Oside(ITO) 박막의 특성 연구

  • 가시광선 영역에서 높은 광학적 투과성과 함께 우수한 전기 전도성을 갖는 ITO 박막은 디스플레이 소자나 투명전극재료 등 다양한 분야에서 응용성이 더욱 증대되고 있다. 증착기판으로서 유리를 사용할 때 생기는 활용범위 제한을 극복하고자 최근 유기물 위에 증착이 가능한 저온 증착방법에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 그 가운데 이온빔과 같은 energetic한 beam을 이용한 박막의 제조는 기판을 플라즈마 발생지역으로부터 분리시켜 이온빔의 flux 및 에너지, 입사각 등의 자유로운 조절을 통해 상온에서도 우수한 성질의 박막 형성 가능성이 제시되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 ion beam assisted evaporation방법을 이용하여 ITO 박막을 성장시켰으며, ion-surface interaction 효과가 박막 성장주에 미치는 영향을 이해하기 위하여 먼저 반응성 산소 이온빔에 비 반응성 아르곤 이온빔을 다양하게 변화시켜가며 증착하였으며, 이와 더불어 산소 분위기에서 아르곤 이온빔에 의한 ITO 박막의 특성 변화를 각각 관찰하였다. 증착전 후의 열처리 없이 상온에서 비저항이 ~10-4$\Omega$cm 이하로 낮고 80% 이상의 투과율을 갖는 ITO 박막을 성장시켰다. 실험에서 이용된 e-beam evaporation 물질은 In2O3-SnO2(1-wt%)였으며, 이온빔 source는 산소에 의한 filament의 산화를 막기 위해 filament cathodes type이 아닌 rf(radio-frequency)를 사용하였다. 중요 증착변수인 이온빔의 flux 변화는 산소와 Ar의 flow rate를 MFC로 조절하고 rf power를 변화시켜 얻었으며, 이온빔 에너지는 가속 grid의 가속전압 변화와 ion gun과 기판사이의 거리 조절을 통해 최적화하였다. 이온빔의 에너지와 flux는 Faraday cup으로 측정하였으며, 성박된 박막의 특성은 UV-spectrometer, 4-point probe, Hall measurement. $\alpha$-step, XRD, XPS 등을 이용하여 광학적, 전기적, 구조적 특성을 분석하였다.

  • In this paper, evaluation of physical properties about dielectric relaxation phenomena by the detection of the surface pressures and displacements current on the monolayer films of phospolipid monomolecular DMPC using pressure stimulus. As a result, It is found that the phospolipid monolayer of dielectric relaxation takes a little time and depend on the molecular area. When electric bias is applied across the manufactured MIM device by the deposition condition of phospolipid monomolecular, it is found that be characteristic of insulation generated it wasn't breakdown when the higher electric field to impress by increase of deposition layers.

  • 최근, 친환경 물질이면서 광유에 비하여 발화점이 높은 식물성절연유에 대한 관심이 고조되고 있으며 식물성절연유변압기의 사용이 미주 등 해외시장에서 급격하게 증가되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 송전급 식물성절연유변압기 개발을 위하여 액체절연 매질의 고전압 시험법을 검토하고 전극 간 이격 거리에 따른 절연파괴 시험을 통하여 식물성절연유의 절연성능을 평가하였다. Weibull 분포와 전계해석을 이용하여 2% 절연파괴전압을 산출하고 전계분포를 계산하여 기존의 변압기 절연매질인 광유와 비교하였다. 본 연구 결과는 향후 식물성 절연유변압기 제작에 필요한 설계 자료로 활용될 것이다.
