This study is an exploratory research on the user relevance criteria in Korean search service environments that provide integrated search results. Data were collected from 10 participants using a semi-structured interview technique. The participants conducted a web search using integrated search services, such as Naver or Daum on a self-selected topic. They were asked to judge the relevance of retrieved documents and to report their relevance criteria. As a result, the research indicated 8 user-defined relevance and non-relevance criteria. The research shows that specificity and richness are the two most important criteria yet, the user's relevance criteria have not changed much despite the change in search environment.

본 연구는 이용자 지향적 평가의 의의와 타당성을 규명하기 위하여 연구과정에서 개인의 지식과 상황 및 인지적 요인의 변화에 따라 이용자가 인식하는 검색문헌의 적합성을 평가하는 기준들의 변화를 규명하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구의 방법은 이론가설을 설정하고 이의 검증을 위하여 실제 연구문제를 가지고 있는 5명의 이용자를 대상으로 그들의 연구과정에 따라 적합성을 평가하는 기준들과 그 기준들의 변화양상을 관찰하는 실험을 수행하였다. 실험결과의 분석에는 빈도분석, 상관분석, 일원분산분석이 활용되었다. 그 결과 연구자들은 연구과정에 따라 적합성을 평가하는 기준이 다르게 나타났으며, 평가자에 따라서도 각기 다른 평가기준이 사용되고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

This research takes a user-centered approach to define relevance, the core concept in information retrieval. The literature on relevance has identified numerous factors affecting such a judgment. We examined the model of user relevance judgment that describes the relationship between user relevance criteria and different types of relevance with information search task. We consider 7 criteria of user relevance-topicality, novelty, reliability, understandability, specificity, richness, and interest-and 3 type of user relevance-cognitive relevance, situational relevance, and affective relevance. Data were collected from a semi-controlled survey and analyzed by a structural equation modeling. As a result, topicality and reliability were found to be the essential relevance criteria in all information retrieval tasks. In the fact search task, topicality, reliability, novelty, richness, and interest were found to be significant. In the problem solving search task, topicality, reliability, understandability, and specificity were found to be significant. In the decision making search task, topicality, reliability, novelty, understandability, richness, specificity, and interest were found to be significant. In addition, the relationships between types of user relevance were determined. This research made theoretical and practical contributions to the field of information retrieval by identifying a definite model of user relevance judgment.

Although a significant number of studies have been conducted in user-based relevance criteria, a need for further research still remains. The rational is associated with the following inadequacies: (1) research on young user groups, (2) research on the Web environment with multimedia resources, (3) research on the irrelevance criteria and implications to improve related systems and services. Accordingly, this study identified user - based relevance and irrelevance criteria, examining 40 middle school third grader students who use KERIS Edunet site. The results identified 16 relevance criteria and 8 irrelevance criteria. Major implications related to information system and service improvements.

본 연구는 기업가치 추정모형인 EVA모형과 FCFF모형의 적합성을 한국주식시장을 대상으로 검증하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 1992년$\sim$1996년의 5년간 상장기업을 대상으로 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 실제주가와 이론주가간에 음(-)의 괴리율을 갖는 집단의 누적평균초과수익률은 EVA 모형 기준인 경우 40일$\sim$60일간에 유의적으로 상승하고 있으며, FCFF모형의 경우 1일$\sim$20일간에 유의적으로 상승하고 있다. 그리고 실제주가와 이론주가간에 양(+)의 괴리율을 갖는 집단의 누적평균초과수익률은 EVA모형 기준인 경우 21일$\sim$40일간에 유의적으로 하락하고 있으며, FCFF모형 기준인 경우 1일$\sim$20일간에 유의적으로 하락하고 있다. 또한 EVA모형과 FCFF모형 모두에서 음(-)의 괴리율집단과 양(+)의 괴리율집단간의 누적평균초과수익률은 기준일 이후 유의적 차이를 보이고 있다. EVA모형과 FCFF모형으로 평가한 결과는 반영시점이 다소 차이가 난다는 점을 제외하고는 상대적으로 과소평가된 주식은 기준일 이후 가격이 상승하고 상대적으로 과대 평가된 주식은 기준일 이후 하락한다는 사실을 보여주고 있다. 이런 사실은 제한적이지만 절대가치평가모형이 한국주식시장에서 어느 정도 적합성을 가질 수 있는 가능성을 보여주고 있다.

본 논문은 TTA 에서 제정된 "HTML5 기반 스마트 TV 플랫폼" 표준(TTAK.KO-07.0111/R1)에 따라 개발된 스마트 TV 수신기가 표준의 기술 요구사항을 준수하여 적합하게 구현되었는지를 검증하기 위한 표준 적합성 시험환경을 소개한다. 적합성 시험을 위한 시험 기준과 수행절차, 판정 기준 등을 정의하고 있는 "HTML5 기반 스마트 TV 플랫폼 수신기 적합성 시험" 표준(TTAK.KO-07.0119)에 따라 200 여개의 테스트 케이스가 개발되었으며 이들은 스마트 TV 수신기에서 직접 동작하면서 수신기의 기능을 검증하고 결과를 판단하게 된다. 테스트 케이스를 실제 방송환경과 유사한 조건에서 실행하기 위하여 지상파, 케이블, IPTV, 위성 등 다양한 방송 헤드앤드를 활용한 방송 송출 서버를 구현하였으며, 시험에 관련된 정보를 처리하고 실제 시험의 수행 및 그 결과를 관리하는 적합성 시험 관리 시스템을 개발하였다. 그리고 테스트 케이스 앱을 호스팅하는 웹서버, VOD 콘텐츠를 위한 스트리밍 서버 등의 장비를 운용하여 적합성 시험을 위한 전반적인 환경을 구축하였다. 또한 본 논문에서는 구축된 시험 환경에서 표준 기반으로 개발된 참조 수신기를 대상으로 적합성 시험을 수행한 사례를 통해 시험환경의 유효성을 확인하고 향후 적합성 시험환경의 추진 방향을 제시한다.

A calibration system for diagnosing and confirming the performance of precision measuring instruments minimizes the risk of misjudgment of calibration resulted by complying with international standard requirements in order to ensure the reliability of calibration results. This paper uses a proposed calibration system suitability assessment and a guard-band technique through an analysis of uncertainty factors when it is impossible to acquire and operate high-performance equipment at a calibration laboratory, and proposes an optimized test limit output model substituting performance standards. The proposed method provides an optimized test standard to meet the quantitative evaluation criteria of the calibration system and the probability of false acceptance risk required by international standards.

Although research has shown a significant amount of work identifying various dimensions of relevance along with exhaustive lists of relevance criteria, there seem to have been less effort to apply the findings to improve actual systems design. Based on this assumption, this paper investigates to what extent those relevance criteria have been incorporated into the interface features of major commercial Web search engines, suggesting what can/should be done more. Before stepping into the actual system features, this paper compares recent relevance research in Information Science with other human factor studies both in Information Science and its neighboring discipline (HCI), as an attempt to identify studies that are conceptually similar to the relevance research, but not named as such way. Similarities and differences between these studies are presented. Recommendations suggested to support applicable interface features include: 1) further personalization of interface designs; 2) author-supplied meta tags for the Web contents; and 3) extensions of beyond-topical representations based on link structure.

강우빈도해석을 위해서는 확률분포선정이 우선적으로 이루어져야 한다. 우리나라에서는 사용상의 편리상, 기존 해석결과와의 연속성 등을 이유로 Gumbel 확률분포가 가장 일반적으로 활용되고 있다. 그러나, 분포형 선정에 따른 확률강수량의 차이가 크게 발생한다는 점에서 단순히 해석상의 편리성을 기준으로 분포형 선정이 이루어지는 것은 바람직하지 않다. 특히, 우리나라에서 강우빈도해석 시 분포형 선정은 형식적인 수준에 그치고 있으며, 주로 KS검정, 검정 등 적합도 검정을 통해 고려된 분포형의 통계적 유의성만을 평가하고 있다. 그러나, 최적 분포형 선정이라는 관점에서 이러한 유의성 검정보다는 정량적인 지표를 기준으로 확률분포형 선정이 이루어지는 것이 적합할 것으로 판단된다. 즉, 자료의 설명력이 가장 우수한 분포를 정량적 지표를 기준으로 추정하는 것이 수문통계학적으로 적합성을 갖는다. 이러한 점에서 본 연구에서는 우도함수, BIC 및 AIC를 기준으로 우리나라 주요 강수지점에서 대해서 최적 분포형을 선정하고, 기존 Gumbel 분포를 기준으로 산정된 확률강수량과의 양적차이를 평가해보고자 한다.

2014 년 4 월 TTA 에서 개정된 " HTML5 기반 스마트 TV 플랫폼(TTAK.KO-07.0111/R1)" 은 적응형 스트리밍 서비스를 지원하기 위한 기술로 MPEG-DASH 표준을 준용하고 이를 기반으로 추가적인 기술 요구사항을 정의하고 있다. 또한, 이러한 기술 요구 사항에 대한 적합성 시험을 위하여 " HTML5 기반 스마트 TV 플랫폼 수신기 적합성 시험(TTAK.KO-07.0119/R1)" 표준에 적응형 스트리밍 기술 요구 사항 관련한 시험 기준, 수행 절차, 판정 기준 등이 추가되었다. 이에 TTA 에서는 " HTML5 기반 스마트 TV 플랫폼" 표준을 준수하여 개발된 스마트 TV 의 적응형 스트리밍 기술 요구 사항에 대한 표준적합성을 검증할 수 있는 시험환경을 구축하였다. 본 논문에서는 TTA 에서 구현한 적응형 스트리밍 적합성 시험환경에 대해 소개한다.
