Development of a prefabricated rainwater infiltration storage block for reducing rainfall-runoff (우수유출저감을 위한 조립식 빗물 침투형 저류블록의 개발)

  • 조립식 빗물침투형 저류블록은 우수유출 저감시설로, 황토 및 친환경 무기질 결합재를 이용하여 제작한 고강도 투수성 블록의 적층 및 요철에 의한 끼움식 조립에 의해 형성된 공간에 빗물을 저류하고, 저장된 빗물은 시간이 지남에 따라 지반으로 침투시키는 우수유출 저감용 빗물관리시설로, 집중강우 시 유출수가 발생하는 해당지역에 분산식으로 설치하여 국지적 호우 발생에 대처할 수 있으며, 지속적인 침투를 통한 지하수위 확보 및 가뭄현상의 저감은 물론, 미기후 조성과 건전한 물순환 구조 형성에 이바지하는 빗물관리기술이다. 본 기술은 집중형 대규모 빗물저류조의 적용상의 문제점과 단순저류의 한계성을 극복하고, 기존 침투시설의 낮은 침투능을 증대시키고자 저류기능과 침투기능을 동시에 확보하여 집중호우시 빠른 침투저류능을 향상시킨 조립식 빗물침투형 저류시설이다. 보다 구체적으로는 집중강우에 대한 방재적 측면과 함께 가뭄으로 발생하는 지하수위 저하 등에 친환경적으로 대응하기 위한 복합적인 빗물관리 기술로서, 빗물 유출저감과 함께 물순환 회복 및 저영향개발을 위한 각 지자체의 지침과도 부합될 수 있다. 또한, 콘크리트 제품의 환경적 문제점과 플라스틱 제품의 낮은 물성을 극복하였고, 시공 시에는 보다 현장상황에 맞게 가변적 형태로 적용이 가능한 단순조립 적층공법으로 공기단축에 탁월한 장점이 있으며, 유지관리 시에는 별도의 동력이 요구되지 않는 형태로 개발하였다. 조립식 빗물침투저류블록의 구조체를 이루는 단위 블록유닛은 투수성 소재로 제작되며, 상하부가 개방되어 있고 사각형의 내부에 힘을 받는 격벽과 전후벽이 상호 대응되는 요철로 형성되어 있으며, 단위블록 유닛 다수개가 수직수평으로 연속적으로 조립되어 규모의 제한, 형태의 제한이 없는 구조물 형성이 가능하다. 본 구조체의 저류공극율은 80%이상 확보 가능하며, 또한 블록자체의 투수율이 0.83mm/sec로서 순모래나 순자갈의 포화투수계수보다 투수율이 높아 침투저류 효율성이 높으며 시공 후 상부 토지는 자유롭게 활용 가능하다. 본 조립식 빗물 침투형 저류블록을 이용하여 저영향개발 계획, 우수유출 저감대책 수립, 빗물관리시설 계획시 기존의 시설들에 비하여 경제적, 효율적인 설계가 가능하다.

Physicochemical Properties of Brown Rice During Storage in Laminated Film Pouches (플라스틱 적층 필름 포장재를 이용한 현미의 저장중 물리화학적 변화)

  • Changes in physicochemical properties of brown rice (Chu-chunk byeo, Japonica type) kept at $4^{\circ}C,\;20^{\circ}C,\;30^{\circ}C\;and\;40^{\circ}C$ in laminated film (4 layer) pouches were analyzed. Hardness of brown rice grain increased during storage periods. In case of color changes, 'L' value increased during storage below $30^{\circ}C$, and decreased after three months at $40^{\circ}C$. The 'a' value did not change below $30^{\circ}C$, but increased at $40^{\circ}C$. The 'b' value increased under all storage conditions. Percent germination was above 97% below $20^{\circ}C$ regardlesss of storage period and was inhibited by heat above $30^{\circ}C$. The rice did not germinate after one month storage at $40^{\circ}C$ Gelatinization enthalpy and gelatinization peak temperature by DSC of brown rice powder decreased during storage. As a result, storage below $20^{\circ}C$ in laminated film pouch is recommended far brown rice.

  • Triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) devices have generated a lot of interest in recent decades. TENG technology, which is one of the technologies for harvesting mechanical energy among the energy wasted in the environment, is obtained by the dual effect of electrostatic induction and triboelectric charging. Recently, a multilayer thin film stacking method (or layer-by-layer (LbL) self-assembly technique) is being considered as a method to improve the performance of TENG and apply it to new fields. This LbL assembly technology can not only improve the performance of TENG and successfully overcome the thickness problem in applications, but also present an inexpensive, environmentally friendly process and be used for large-scale and mass production. In this review, recent studies in the accomplishment of LbL-based materials for TENG devices are reviewed, and the potential for energy harvesting devices reviewed so far is checked. The advantages of the TENG device fabricated by applying the LbL technology are discussed, and finally, the direction and perspective of this fabrication technology for the implementation of various ultra-thin TENGs are briefly presented.

Generation of Cutting Path Data for Two Steps of the Cutting Process in Full- Automated VLM-ST (VLM-ST 공정의 완전 자동화를 위한 2단계 절단 경로 데이터 생성 방법에 관한 연구)

  • A novel rapid prototyping (RP) process, a full-automated transfer type variable lamination manufacturing process (Full-automated VLM-ST) has been developed. In the full-automated VLM-ST process, a vacuum chuck and a rectilinear motion system transfer the EPS foam material in the form of the plate with two pilot holes to the rotary supporting stage. The supplied material is then cut into an automated unit shape layer (AUSL) with a desired width, a desired length, a desired slope on the side surface, and a pair of reference shapes, which is called the guide shape (GS)’, including two pilot holes in accordance with CAD data through cutting in two steps using a four-axis synchronized hotwire cutter. Then, each AUSL is stacked by setting each AUSL with two pilot holes in the building plate with two pilot pins, and subsequently, adhesive is applied onto the top surface of the stacked AUSL by a bonding roller and pressure is simultaneously given to the bottom surface of the stacked AUSL. Finally, three-dimensional shapes are rapidly and automatically fabricated. This paper describes the method to generate guide shapes in AUSL data for the full-automated VLM-ST process. In order to examine the applicability of the method to generate guide shapes, three-dimensional shapes, such as a piston shape and a human head shape, are fabricated from the full-automated VLM-ST apparatus.

Ca-test에 의한 유기발광소자 봉지용 분자층 증착 Alucone 박막의 투과 방지 특성

  • 유기발광소자는 유연 소자로의 적용, 자체 발광 등의 장점으로 차세대 디스플레이로서 각광받고 있다. 하지만 유기발광소자는 유기물을 발광층으로 하고 있기 때문에 수분에 취약하다는 단점이 있다. 그래서 봉지 기술(encapsulation)을 필요로 한다. 널리 알려진 방법으로는 유리로 소자를 감싸고 내부에 흡습제를 충진하여 수분 투습을 줄일 수 있다. 하지만 위 기술을 사용할 경우 유기발광소자의 장점인 유연 소자의 적용이 어렵다. 따라서 박막 봉지 기술을 이용하면 보다 얇은 두께의 소자 제작이 가능하고 유연 소자의 적용 역시 가능해진다. 박막 코팅을 이용한 봉지 기술 중 화학적 증착법(Chemical Vapor Deposition, CVD)이나 물리적 증착법(Physical Vapor Deposition, PVD)을 이용하는 방법이 널리 알려져 있지만 원자층 증착법(Atomic Layer Deposition, ALD)을 이용하면 보다 낮은 두께의 치밀한 박막을 제작 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 원자층 증착법을 응용한 분자층 증착법(Molecular Layer Deposition, MLD)을 이용하여 Trimethylaluminum과 Ethylene glycol을 순차적으로 주입함으로써 Alucone 유기 박막을 제작하고 유기발광소자의 봉지 기술로의 적용을 위해 투과 방지막 특성에 관하여 분석했다. 박막 봉지 기술로서 적용하기 위해 제작된 투과 방지막은 원자층 증착법으로 Al2O3무기 박막을 제작하고 분자층 증착법으로 Alucone 박막을 순차적으로 증착하였다. 이를 Ca를 이용하여 전도도를 측정하고, 투습도를 계산하여 투과 방지막 특성을 분석하였다. Alucone 박막은 우수한 투과 방지막 특성을 가지지는 못하지만 적층 구조로 제작함으로써 두 쌍의 Alucone/Al2O3일때, $6.07{\times}10^{-2}g/m^2day$의 투습도를 보여주고 있다. Alucone 박막의 존재는 수분이나 산소의 투과 경로 길이를 늘려줌으로써 Alucone/Al2O3 박막의 투과방지 특성이 향상되는 것으로 사료된다.

Mechanical properties by resin injection method of orthdontic acrylic resin (교정용 레진장치의 레진주입방법에 따른 기계적 특성)

  • Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), a self-curing resin mainly used in removable orthodontic appliances, is an acrylic resin mainly used in the field of modern dentistry. As an advantage, it has been used for a long time as a material for orthodontic devices in dentistry due to its color and volume, tissue affinity, and stability. The production of PMMA can be divided into self-polymerization method and thermal polymerization method according to activation method. Self-curing resins have long been used as orthodontic devices. The resin injection method is largely divided into a sprinkle-on method and a mixing method. In this study, we intend to test the mechanical properties according to the resin injection method of the orthodontic device, such as strength, modulus of elasticity, and surface roughness. There was no significant difference in strength as a result of three-point bending strength test on rectangular specimens (1.4 × 3.0 × 19.0 mm) of orthodontic PMMA. There was also no significant difference in hardness. There was no significant difference in surface roughness. It was confirmed that the orthodontic PMMA had no significant difference in mechanical properties according to the resin injection method of the orthodontic device.

Dinosaur Track-Bearing Deposits at Petroglyphs of Bangudae Terrace in Daegokcheon Stream, Ulju (National Treasure No. 285): Occurrences, Paleoenvironments, and Significance in Natural history (국보 제285호 울주 대곡리 반구대 암각화 지역의 공룡발자국 화석층 : 산상, 고환경 및 자연사적 가치)

  • The Dinosaur track-bearing deposits recently found at Bangudae Petroglyph site in Ulju (National Treasure No. 285) have been studied in the aspects of sedimentology, paleoenvironments, and significance in natural history. The dinosaur tracks occur in the Daegu Formation (late Early Cretaceous), and over 80 footprints including 43 ornithopod footprints, 36 sauropod footprints, and 2 theropod footprints are preserved in this tracksite. The track-bearing deposits consist of irregularly interlaminated siltstone and mudstone, calcareous sandy to silty mudstone, thin-bedded tuffaceous sandstone, planar- to cross-laminated sandstone, and thin- to medium-bedded graded sandstone, and they are interpreted to be sheetflood deposits on an alluvial plain. Diverse types of ripples and mudcracks, rainprints, and invertebrate trace fossils are observed in these deposits, and the crest-lines of wave ripples do not show preferred orientation. Dinosaur footprints occur as true prints, underprints, overtracks, and casts on the bedding surfaces, and the orientation of trackways are scattered. It is interpreted that paleoclimatic condition of the track-bearing deposits were semiarid with alternation of wetting and drying periods, and that dinosaurs frequented small and shallow ponds during wetting periods and recorded their tracks on an alluvial plain. The frequent occurrence of dinosaur tracks in study area indicates that the Cretaceous deposits around Daegokcheon Stream are very useful sedimentological and paleontological records to understand the paleoecology and paleoenvironments during the dinosaur age in Korean Peninsula. Consequently the dinosaur track-bearing deposits around Daegokcheon Stream should be further studied in sedimentary geology and paleontology in order to enhance cultural heritage value of the Petroglyphs of Bangudae Terrace as the World Heritage.

Hardness and Microstructure evolution of SUS630 Stainless steel Fabricated by Directed Energy Deposition (Direct energy deposition 공정으로 제조된 SUS630 스테인리스강 적층조형체의 경도 및 미세조직 연구)

  • The microstructure and mechanical characteristics of SUS630 specimens fabricated using the direct energy deposition (DED) process are investigated. In DED, several process parameters such as laser scan speed, chamber gas flow, powder carrier gas flow, and powder feed rate are kept fixed; the laser power is changed as 150 W, 180 W, and 210 W. As the laser power increases, the surface becomes smooth, the thickness uniformity improves, and the size and number of pores decreases. With the increase in laser power, the hardness deviation decreases and the average hardness increases. The microstructure of the material is columnar; pores are formed preferentially along the columnar interface. The lath-martensite phase governs the overall microstructure. The volumetric fraction of the retained austenite phase is measured to increase with the increase of laser input power.

  • Amethyst gems represents thermal effects of far-infrared emission, promotes the body's metabolism, and attracts attention as an eco-friendly interior material. In this paper, amethyst increase the value of jeweling by applying the characteristic purple motif, furthermore, I will intend to develop of design model. Metal crafting of brooch & necklace in the works performed based on the organic three-dimensional shape of the Rhino CAD Data. It was made possible through the precise laminated wax processing and then combining the amethyst. I researched the ornament modeling by applying the 'Golden Ratio', and suggesting utilizing method for interior jewel modeling, and also, is expected that this paper on the amethyst modeling design can contribute to the manufacturers' productivity.

Structural Design of Light Weight Natural Fiber Composites for Next Generation Automobile Bonnet (차세대 자동차 본넷용 친환경 경량화 자연섬유 복합재 구조 설계)

  • In this study, structural design and analysis of the automobile bonnet is performed. The flax/vinly ester composite material is applied for structural design. The Vacuum Assisted Resin Transfer Molding-Light (VARTML) manufacturing method is adopted for manufacturing the flax fiber composite bonnet. The VARTML is a manufacturing process that the resin is injected into the fly layered-up fibers enclosed by a rigid mold tool under vacuum. A series of flax/vinyl ester composite panels are manufactured, and several kinds of specimens cut out from the panels are tested to obtain mechanical performance data. Based on this, structural design of the automobile bonnet is performed.
