IC Package Location and Pin1 Dimple Extraction Using Adaptive Multiple Thresholding (적응적 다중 이진화에 의한 IC 패키지 및 Pin1 딤플 검출)

  • 반도체 패키지의 마킹검사(marking inspection)를 위해서는 입력 영상으로부터 검사할 패키지의 정확만 위치 검출과 패키지 윗면에 나타난 제작사 로고, 문자, Pin1 딤플의 추출이 필수적이다. 본 연구는 마킹검사를 위한 선행 연구로 마킹검사를 수행할 때, 검사할 IC 패키지의 위치와 방향을 정확하게 검출하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. IC 패키지의 외곽을 구성하는 리드의 명도 값은 트레이의 명도 값과 큰 차이를 나타낸다. 그러나 IC 패키지의 방향을 나타내는 Pin1 딤플은 배경과 동일한 색상으로 다만 약간 오목하게 들어가서 명도 값의 차이가 미세하다. 이러한 두 가지 상이한 특징을 효과적으로 처리하기 위하여 적응적 다중 이진화 방법을 제시하였다. 76개의 명도 영상에 대한 실험 결과 제안된 이진화 방법은 매우 효과적이었으며, 이진화된 영상으로부터 IC 패키지의 정확한 위치 검출과 방향 확인이 가능하였다.

The Effect of Group Music Therapy for At-Risk Korean Soldiers on Adjustment and Stress Level (집단음악치료가 관심병사의 군 생활 스트레스와 적응에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of group music therapy for at-risk Korean soldiers on the levels of adjustment and stress. The study was conducted at a division of the Korean Army with 7 participants who were classified as "at-risk soldiers" based on the results of a psychiatric evaluation, MMPI-II and a personal interview with a counselor. The participants received 12 hours of group music therapy for three weeks and their scores on stress and adjustment inventories were compared before and after the treatment. The pre and post scores were analyzed with the Wilcoxon test for repeated measures. The results revealed that the overall stress level was significantly decreased while there was no significant improvement in the adjustment levels at p < .05. The research findings and personal remarks from the participants suggest that group music therapy may provide effective support for at-risk Korean soldiers in coping with stress and adjustment to military life.

The Effects of a Group Theraplay Program for Enhancing Intimacy in Infant-Teacher Relationships and Adaptation to Child Care Centers (유아-교사 친밀관계 및 유아의 어린이집 적응 향상을 위한 집단치료놀이 프로그램의 효과)

  • This study developed a group theraplay program for enhancing intimacy in infant-teacher relationships and infant's adaptation to child care centers. And it also examined the effects of a theraplay program. The participants were 16 infants between the ages of 2-3. Each group of 8 infants was attached to the experimental or the control group. The experimental group had 45 minute group theraplay sessions two times per week for a total of 10 while the control group did not have any treatment. The Child-Teacher Relationship Scale(Pianta, 2001) and the Preschool Adjustment Questionnaire(Jewsuwan, Luster & Kostelnik, 1993) were used for pre-test and follow-up tests. Mann-Whitney U Test and Wilcoxon Matched-Pairs Signed-Ranks Test analyzed data via SPSS ver. 20.0. The results were that: (1) In the pre-test, the degree of intimacy in the infant-teacher relationship had no difference between the experimental and control group. However, in follow-up test, the degree of intimacy in the infant-teacher relationship of the experimental group was enhanced. (2) In the pre-test, the degree of adaptation to child care centers had no difference between the experimental and control group. But in the follow-up test, the degree of adaptation to child care centers of the experimental group was changed optimistically. Therefore, it can be concluded that group theraplay program is an effective means to facilitate intimacy in infant-teacher relationships and adaptation to child care centers.

The Life Satisfaction and Ego-Resilience in Primary School Entrants': A test of school adjustment's mediation effects (초등학교 입학초기 아동의 삶의 만족도와 자아탄력성: 학교생활적응의 매개효과 검증)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of ego-resilience on life satisfaction and the mediating effects of school adjustment between them among first graders, and to provide basic data for improving children's life satisfaction. For this purpose, the investigator collected data from 601 first graders at 25 elementary schools in the Jeonju area and analyzed them with the SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0 statistical programs. The findings were as follows: first, there were significant correlations among the three factors of children's life satisfaction, ego-resilience, and school adjustment; and secondly, both of their ego-resilience and school adjustment had impacts on their life satisfaction, and their ego-resilience had influences on their life satisfaction via school adjustment. These findings indicate that there is a need for supports at various levels to increase the school adjustment abilities of first graders as well as their ego-resilience in order to improve their life satisfaction.

  • Checkpointing is an effective mechanism that allows a process to resume its execution that was discontinued by a system failure without having to restart from the beginning. Especially, page-level incremental checkpointing saves only the modified pages of a process to minimize the checkpointing overhead. This means that in incremental checkpointing, the time consumed for checkpointing varies according to the amount of modified pages. Thus, the efficient interval of checkpointing must be determined on run-time of the process. In this paper, we present an efficient and adaptive page-level incremental checkpointing facility that is based on the cost analysis of process execution time. In our simulation, results show that the proposed mechanism significantly reduced the average process execution time compared with existing fixed-interval-based page-level incremental checkpointing.

Characteristics of Academic-, Social-, Emotional-, and Career Adaptation to College Life among Clustered Freshmen Using DEU-GRIT: A Focus on D University (DEU-GRIT을 활용한 군집화된 대학 신입생의 대학 생활 적응(학업, 사회, 정서 및 진로 적응) 특성 분석 연구: D 대학을 중심으로)

  • This study is aimed at analyzing the characteristics of adaptation to college life among freshmen of D University by utilizing the DEU-GRIT test. To achieve this, we examined differences in level of college life adaptation according to gender and major, and explored the characteristics of college life adaptation among college freshmen who were clustered based on their level of academic, social, emotional, and career adaptation, which is an important factor in adaptation to college life. Moreover, based on the DEU-GRIT test standards, we also explored the characteristics of their college life adaptation by sorting out low level groups of freshmen with difficulties adapting. The results demonstrated that male students had a higher level of emotional adaptation than female students, and that science and technology majors had higher levels of academic and emotional adaptation than students in the humanities and society majors. Furthermore, a cluster analysis based on 4 factor levels of college life adaptation showed that cluster 1 had a high level of adaptability to all factors, but cluster 3 had a low level of adaptability to all factors. Moreover, while cluster 2 showed a high level of emotional adaptation, cluster 4 showed a low level of emotional adaptation. On the other hand, a lower-standard group of DEU-GRIT tests showed that the level of academic adaptation and social adaptation was higher among female students than among male students. However, the overall level of college life, academic, and emotional adaptation were higher among science and technology students than among those majoring in humanities and social studies. In addition, a cluster analysis based on the level of 4 factors of college life adaptation of lower-standard groups showed that cluster 1 of the lower-standard groups had a high level of emotional adaptation, while cluster 2 of the lower-standard groups had a low level of emotional and career adaptation and a high level of academic and social adaptation. Also, cluster 3 of the lower-standard groups was found to have low levels of all factors, and cluster 4 of the lower-standard groups showed low levels of social and emotional adaptation and high levels of academic and career adaptation. This indicates that, in terms of social and emotional adaptation among freshmen, participation in psychological counseling programs tailored according to gender is necessary and, regarding the major, relative emotional intervention is required due to the high and low expectations of job prospects. In conclusion, the emotional and social adaptation to college life among the lower-level groups is likely to serve as a protective factor for college life adaptation, suggesting that specific intervention should be contemplated.

Improve Stereo Matching by considering the Characteristic Points of the Image and the Cost Function (영상의 특징점과 비용함수를 고려한 스테레오 정합개선)

  • This thesis proposes an adaptive variable-sized matching window method using the characteristic points of the image and a method to increase the reliability of the cross-consistency check to raise the correctness of the final disparity image. The proposed adaptive variable-sized window method segments the image with the color information, finds the characteristic points in each segmented image, and varies the size of the matching window according to the existence of the characteristic points inside the window. Also the proposed cross-consistency check method processes the two cases with the cost values corresponding to the best disparity and the second-best disparity: when the cost values themselves are too large and when the difference between the two cost values are too small. The two proposed methods were experimented with the four test images provided by the Middleburry site. As the results from the experiments, the proposed adaptive variable-sized matching window method decreased up to 18.2% of error ratio and the proposed cross-consistency check method increased up to 7.4% of reliability.

Creativity Styles of Elementary Science Gifted Students (초등과학영재들의 창의성 유형 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine creativity styles of elementary science gifted students through the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT). For this study, the TTCT-Figural Form A was used, with data form 206 elementary science gifted students, which included 56 urban students, 115 suburban students, and 35 rural students. Confirmatory factor analyses were conducted to examine a two-factor model of creativity styles based on Kim's (2006). Level of creativity was analyzed on the basis of the creativity styles and the numbers of creativity styles were analyzed according to region, grade, and gender. The results are as follows: Factor innovative was loaded by fluency and originality; factor adaptive loaded by elaboration, abstractness of titles, and creative strength; and both factor innovative and factor adaptive loaded by resistance to premature closure. The percentage of adaptive styles is higher than the innovative styles. Urban had more adaptors than rural. There were more adaptors in 6th grade than 5th grade. Gifted female adaptors had significantly higher creative potential than gifted male adaptors and gifted female innovators also showed higher creative potential than gifted male innovators. Creativity styles can give more information about individuals' strengths and weakness so that do an important role in understanding characteristics of gifted students.

Individual Variation of Radiation Adaptive Responses in Patients Undergoing Imaging Studies Using $^{99m}Tc$ Labeled Radiopharmaceuticals ($^{99m}Tc$ 표지 방사성의약품을 이용한 핵의학 영상검사를 받은 환자에서 방사선 적응반응의 개인간 차이에 대한 연구)

  • It was reported that radiopharamaceuticals induced radiation adaptive response (RAR) in patients undergoing nuclear medicine imaging studies. Individual variations of RAR were not studied well. The purpose of this study was to evaluate individual variation of RAR in patients undergoing nuclear medicine imaging studies. Peripheral lymphocytes were collected from 23 patients undergoing $^{99m}Tc-diethylenetriamine$ pentaacetic acid $(^{99m}Tc-DTPA)$ renal scintigraphy, 18 patients undergoing $^{99m}Tc-methylene$ diphosphonate $(^{99m}Tc-MDP)$ bone scintigraphy and 21 patients undergoing $^{99m}Tc-tetrofosmin\;(^{99m}Tc-TF)$ scintigraphy were collected before and 4 hours after injection of radiopharmaceuticals. The lymphocytes were exposed to challenge dose of 2 Gy gamma rays using a cell irradiator. Numbers of ring-form (R) and dicentric (D) chromosomes were counted under the light microscope. and used to calculate the frequency of chromosomal aberration [Ydr=(D+R)/total number of counted lymphocytes]. Adaptation index (k) was defined 3s ratio of Ydr in conditioned lymphocytes over Ydr in unconditioned lymphocytes. Coefficients of variance of k in $^{99m}Tc-DTPA,\;^{99m}Tc-MDP\;and\;^{99m}Tc-TF$ were 35%, 34% and 21%, respectively k was not dependent upon age, sex, and underlying diseases. There was a wide variation of RAR induced by radiopharmaceuticals among patients undergoing nuclear medicine procedures. It remains to be determined for causes of such variation.

  • In this paper, an adaptive multilevel successive algorithm is presented. The algorithm introduces an adaptive initial level scheme to the conventional multilevel successive algorithm (MSEA). It efficiently removes the unnecessary computations required for judging the invalid candidate blocks at redundant level. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm obtains the optimal motion vector with reduced computations compared to MSEA.
