Full mouth rehabilitation using removable prosthesis of patient with unstable mandible movements: A case report (불안정한 하악운동을 보이는 환자에서 가철성 의치 수복 증례)

  • Patients with collapsed occlusal support and unilateral chewing show parafunctional mandibular movements, which can be complicated in older patients. Gothic arch tracing and split cast technique are used to confirm the deviation between centric relation and anterior habitual bite in patient who has oral dyskinesia and collapsed occlusion. Temporary denture as occlusal stabilization appliance was provided for stable occlusion and reproducible mandibular movement. Definitive denture was fabricated by lingualized occlusion concept.

  • New concept of bibliographic data and its scheme are needed to accommodate a change resulting from the emergence of new forms of electronic publishing, and the advent of networked access to information resources. FRBR model was developed for defining functions performed by the bibliographic data with respect to various media, various applications, and various user needs. Several institutions including OCLC and RLG or vendors have tried to implement the FRBR on OPAC systems. The purpose of this study is to propose the strategies for developing bibliographic interface based the FRBR model. This study is to review the representative FRBRized systems and compare the systems regarding on search interface and display interface.

  • To fabricate removable partial denture which provide patient's comfort and maintain oral health, cast fabrication which reproduce anatomical and functional state of mouth is needed. Diagnostic cast and master cast are produced through the process of preliminary impression and final impression taking. Both of remaining teeth and edentulous area should be well taken in removable partial denture impression. According to the supporting type of partial denture, impression material and method can be changed. Therefore, understanding of impression procedure is essential for the accurate clinical application.

  • Loss of tooth results in remodeling and resorption of surrounding alveolar bone which causes atrophic edentulous ridge and gradually decreasing gingival attachment. As a result, edentulous patients face difficulty in using dentures due to pain, decrease of support, decline of masticatory efficiency of complete denture. To improve this, overdenture with implant in the mandible and attachment are considered as a treatment of choice as a favorable treatment. In this case, a patient with edentulous ridge for long period is rehabilitated by complete denture in maxilla and implant overdenture using Locator$^{(R)}$ attachment in mandible.

  • The interaction between artificial fish and aquatic surroundings and the fish's realistic locomotion are very important elements to construct virtual aquariums. In general, the artificial fish in virtual aquariums used to be created by 3D modeling tools, and was repeatedly showing the simple and constant form of swimming. This paper will analyze the sorts of biological forms of fish-swimming and the propelling and turning characteristics. Then, we propose a method of the basic swimming and turning of artificial fish to generate various and natural-looking locomotion. It is possible to make a explorable virtual aquarium more immersive by using interactive interfaces together.

Design of a Web Based Adaptive Hypermedia System for Education (웹 기반 교육용 적응적 하이퍼미디어 시스템 설계)

  • In this paper, I discuss the problems of developing web based adaptive hypermedia for education using extensible Markup Language(XML). Adaptive hypermedia systems are capable of altering the Presentation of the contents of the hypermedia on the basis of a dynamic understanding of the individual student. The student profile is contained in a student model, while the knowledge about the domain can be represented in the form of a concept based domain model. Accordingly, I define two different markup languages using XML. The one structures the domain model and the another describes the student model. These language can be easily extended and authored, with the result of obtaining a simple methodology for data structuring in the field of web based educational adaptive hypermedia.

주자지(周紫芝), 『죽파시화(竹坡詩話)』에 관한 시론(試論)

  • 양송(兩宋) 교체기의 중요한 시인이자 비평가인 주자지(周紫芝)의 "죽파시화(竹坡詩話)"는 당시의 여느 시화와 마찬가지로 각 조 사이의 관계가 전혀 유기적이지 않으며 주제도 천차만별이다. 하지만 그 안에 도연명(陶淵明), 두보(杜甫), 이백(李白), 한유(韓愈), 류종원(柳宗元) 등의 당대(唐代) 시인부터 소식(蘇軾), 황정견(黃庭堅), 매요신(梅堯臣), 장뢰(張?) 같은 송대(宋代) 시인에 이르기까지 직, 간접적으로 언급된 시인이 40여 명이나 되고 그들의 작품에 대한 평가와 격률(格律), 자구(字句), 용사(用事)에 대한 분석 및 고증, 그리고 주자지 개인의 시론이 단문 형태로 흩어져 있다. 하지만 그것들을 종합, 개괄하면 주자지의 심오하고 독창적인, 시의 격식과 내용을 함께 존중하는 시학(詩學)을 확인할 수 있다. 그러나 "죽파시화"는, 본래 주자지가 이른바 '남도시단(南渡詩壇)'의 주요 시인이었기 때문에 상대적으로 시 이외의 기타 저작이 홀시되었고 그의 스승이 장뢰(張?), 이지의(李之儀)였던 사실로부터 그의 시학 역시 강서시파(江西詩派)를 답습했을 것이라는 판단이 미리 내려진 탓에 지금까지 시문학사에서 온당한 평가를 받지 못했다. 하지만 주자지는 "죽파시화"에서 당시 형식과 기교에 편중했던 강서시파 말류의 병폐를 명확히 인식하여 독자적으로 자연스러움과 조탁을 고도로 통일시킨 시학을 제시하였다. 요컨대 기계적인 모방 이론에 반대하고 평담(平淡), 자연(自然), 청원(淸遠)의 풍격을 추구하는 한편, 연구(煉句), 연자(煉字)에 힘씀으로써 오히려 평담함의 시풍에 이르게 된다고 하였다. 주자지의 이런 시학은 중국 시문학사에서 그 지위를 재평가 받아야 하며, 아울러 송대뿐만 아니라 오늘날에도 시인과 평론가들이 참고할 만한 보편적 가치를 가졌다.

Distribution Business Model and Protecting Management System of Contents for IPTV (IPTV를 위한 콘텐츠의 유통 비즈니스 모델 및 보호관리)

  • In this paper, we proposed the digital contents distribution business model for the operation of integration between heterogeneous systems in order to use IPTV. Also, we designed and implemented the protection management system through this distribution business model. This proposed model maintains interoperability between the heterogeneous systems, creates rights protection document based on REL, and provides the new version of packaged digital contents to itself by packaging the digital contents. Overall, it ultimately offers an interoperable environment. Moreover, since we pre-defines the relations among REL data based on MPEG-21 standard, which creates the newly packaged digital contents, it is easy to edit data. We can expect to save expenses of digital contents distribution and rights protection technology. Additionally, we can further improve security by encapsulating the security technology of CAS and DRM system.

  • Interactive broadcasting service using wired/wireless Internet return channel has strong ripple effect. It allows the audiences to participate actively to the program they are watching, and communicating. This paper develops an authoring tool that makes an object-formed interactive advertisement from extracted areas of the advertising object the user specified in TV programs. In the authoring tool, the advertisement producer specifies the target object subjectively and the selected object keeps moving here and there repeatedly. Therefore, it is hard to make an object-formed interactive advertisement with existing tools. This paper suggests sketch-based interface technique for extracting advertising objects, and also provide evaluation functions to correct any sketch error. This paper also converts the area of object into MPEG-4 BIFS codes for authoring the object-formed interactive advertisement.

An Improvement of Interoperability for Content Publication and Management System (콘텐츠 공유.관리시스템의 상호운용성 개선)

  • Although the amount of UCC(user created content) rapidly grows nowadays, there are various problems in authoring, distribution and management of this abundant content because the platforms for fabrication and replaying content are not compatible and the authoring environments are not sufficiently interoperable with other site or with each other. In this paper, we propose a CPMS(content publication and management system) scheme improved in interoperability to solve these problems, and we design a novel system enhancing the efficiency and speed of content distribution and management by minimizing the repetitions in the processes of production, reshaping, and publication. Moreover the proposed system adopts an improved content management technology by changing from simple point-to-point method to the centralized distribution method, and as for the service scheme, we change from the site link method to the database link method, and we also take duplex interlink scheme instead of simplex one. We finally compare the proposed system to the conventional ones as points of view of compatibility and interoperability to prove the improved performance of our system.
